I think it will be somewhere down the middle of those two. Lotus might be faster than the Ferrari next year anyways, he just wants more money. When he leaves the funding might go away from Lotus, but if he stayed than the Lotus would probably be about the same speed as the Ferrari.
Not sure about that. Currently the Ferrari is quicker than the Lotus, and drivers tend to go to the faster cars. I'm more surprised Ferrari "let" (Wrong word) him back. I thought they would not want to show they were wrong in letting him go.
And let's face it... When your team was missing payments... And Ferrari wants you back
