GTP Rolex | Season 5 | Complete! Help Plan!

Damn you James, could of annoyed the DPs had you not held up our start.. Only to do 5 laps..

The first lap was for me uneventful but Polar and co all went flying off track somewhere on the lap. That gave me a decent buffer to drive my own lines and pull away.

Was a fun race and for me quite calm and controlled, bar lap 13 where I had two moments which cost me over 15 seconds on my normal pace.

It was interesting when I came up to lap Polar and Rich, Polar tried to dive at T1 but I just drove off after the bend :sly:. The second time I passed them after Le combes in the tight right hander, had a moment later on, then Polar dived at the chicane and spun out.

I finished 28 behind Storm in his DP which wasn't bad concidering how far away I started. Still I really wanted to annoy the DPs :P.

I wanted to see if I could keep up :P You make mel look like a snail though winning by 2 laps xD

Had a blast racing with mustard, even if we looked like baby deer trying to run on a frozen pond :P

Doing points as we speak.

Ohhhhh was the DP winning margin .017?

Indeed.

You lost me 4 seconds in that last one though! :irked:

On lap 19 I was 21.7 seconds behind them :(.

I meant on the formation lap we had to wait so long for you to catch up but nevermind it is what it is.

Polar did you ever do a lap, one without overtaking crashing etc. :P Want to compare FLs. Storm said he did a 40.6 but ofc had more in it. I did a 41.1 on lap 3 or 4. Just curious to know yours :P.

Also with Storm and Tex finishing within .017 after nearly an hour of 100% wet racing this must be GTPs new "most closely contested series" Yeah?

Ya I know I had intermediates on then. I should I told you to just go.

I mean, was there ever any doubt? xD

I honestly don't think I was ever under 3 minute laps... Was just driving with Mustard since I knew I didn't have a shot at catching you.

Actually... Think I did a 2:55 when the rain stopped for a bit and I started hauling xD

I found 2:46's in the Ferrari in full wet (100%) conditions... still 5 seconds behind Paul per lap mind...

Really weird knowing that next week is the last race. At least on GT5.
I'll say this now since we're almost there:

I retire from full-time racing as of the end of the season. I feel I've been too absorbed by this series and GT5 for the most part. With me not being in the position to get PS4 right away anyway, it seems like a good idea to get off the wagon and start trying to kickstart my social life.

I'm not saying this series or GT5 has killed it or that I've skipped on many opportunities to party til dawn, but I think it's time to get myself out there more.

That finish was my second best comeback in a race. I went from 40+ secs behind to that .017 secs after pitting on lap 14. (Storm pitted the next lap, and probably made I few errors before, and after his pit stop before I caught up to him.)

You will not socialize. You WILL buy GTA V and play that instead!

I was originally going to stay out, but I knew your fresher tyres and my mistake before the pitstop would have killed me had I not pitted. Then I just... I dunno, the concentration was getting to me. Great finish mind, I only managed to snap back to reality after you started pulling away after the chicane.

My decision to pit was a game changer. I knew if I continue on the one stint it would be difficult catch up to you from your ~25 secs lead over me. To prevent myself from more mistakes, I did what I did. After you pitted, I knew that your tyres were fresh, and my tyres had a little more grip than yours. I took a advantage over you from there onwards.

I'm in the same boat. I've been getting progressively more and more active with friends, and I fear this will get in the way soon. It's a good season to end on (5 is a good number to end on) and a good time to too. That being said; I don't want this to stop once we all post our thoughts about Laguna. I want us all to stick around here and maybe do some shorter fun races every few weeks to fill the gap to GT6.... But mostly just for fun, and we all get along well. I've enjoyed this a lot, and I hope everyone else has too.

I will be buying that game too!

I didn't think about that stuff... I just followed Mustard into the pits :P

Most people don't people care about age restrictions here, you got 7 year olds playing Call of Duty and 13 year olds pre-ordering R 18+ rated games

I know :P just messing with you.

Here most 10 year olds wear call of duty shirts everywhere.

, unless if a teacher strikes me with another assignment, I'll be there for Laguna Seca :)
