GTP United Sports Car Championship | Season 6 | Series Finished!Finished

As I said after the race, I was thinking about calling for a caution so I can catch up to mustard, but my times were off from mustard's pace, so it was pointless to called for a caution.

Would've still helped though, we could've all caught up to each other and actually raced instead of driving.

Yeah, it would've helped you, & Furi. Probably mustard would've pitted during the caution, and restarted in 3rd, and the 2 of you would've pulled off a mel on him, and slowed/block him.

If we were allowed to unlap ourselves (are we?), we could have taken some advantage. Maybe we'd all be together on the restart.

From previous seasons, the caution would wave. As soon as everyone caught up, we'd pit that lap. Next lap was green flag. If everyone on the lead lap in class pits, you can wave by and go around the field.

Pretty much. You would have a change to get your lap back.

Try not to hug the bottom of the track and stay off of the curbs. You said you found a tune earlier. Who's tune is it? I just want to see what you are working with.

A little summary of this week-

First points race

First NAEC race

Race will be about an hour 20 or there abouts

Qualifying will take place in the practice part if the room. No in game qualifying.

Should be fun!

Oh crap, this'll be good. I'm undefeated at Daytona in the former DP category. Maybe I can keep my win streak going in GT this year. It'll be fun regardless

Hopefully I can defend my NAEC title as a GT.

I have nothing to worry about, I did some practicing and the Audi turned out great. Even the first corner was friendly.

Sorry I missed the race at the weekend, I'm essentially homeless. Mum kicked me out on Saturday, and I had a lot of things to pack and move and such. So, for the forseeable future, until I get a place of my own and the council actually don't force me to live until I'm on my deathbed from the cold, I can't participate in anything. Sorry guys... :(

On a side note, even with about 40 bhp less than GT specs, I can run the Audi LMS Ultra into the low 1:49's at Daytona in testing. The curbs are a nightmare, but if you're hitting the bus stop, I have a simple little rule to help you through without spinning off and maximise speed. ;)

IRL, I saw that the GTLM guys were hitting the 1:47's and 1:46's at Daytona.

Sorry to hear that Storm. Hopefully you can get back on your feet right away.

You are absolutely right about the curbs. If you guys can, stay as far away from them as possible. Easier said then done when it comes to the bus stop. Even some of the top tuners on here will not even touch that car till PD fixes them. I've tried it with a really soft suspension to see if it can absorb them and still got bad results.

I've got a rain day from work today. Should be on later to do some testing. Probably going to stick with the same setup I had in the first pre season race though. :)

@Storm_SP17 sorry to hear that! Hopefully you get back up and runnin soon.

You guys are right. I spun at least 3 times in the preseason race from the curbs. Resh, ya may have to send me that setup :P

What are some of your DW times at Daytona? I did some more practice and came up with 1:37.5, online should translate to about 1:38.x
Are you using a wheel? If yes, What type?
I imagine with tire wear on immortalpilot ("TRL_immortal") could probably dip down into the low 32s during daytime running, and low 33s during night-time running. Thankfully for you I'm not him, I will probably be about the same as my pre season (1:35 race pace) with maybe a few low 34s. If I have to go faster than I probably could but not much.

Anyways I know the Audi R18 TDI in GT6 actually goes a tiny bit slower than the Delta wings on 361 hp. I think in real life it was something like 3-10 secs a lap up depending on track length. Anyways, I was messing about to see what "P" car could be added to make things more fun for next season if that ever happens. I assume Polar is leaving for next season or?

I'm using a G27, after my DFGT broke down. Gonna have to step up my game to keep up with the rest then. With the car not oversteering like before, I might be able to do better.

Thanks guys. I'll stop by when I can get internet access locally, which will hopefully be as many days as I can get on each week... Things aren't looking good though, the council won't help me since I am young, healthy and work. Unless I get desperately ill, they keep telling me to go privately into housing, which isn't good. Very depressing :(

What do you mean "council"? Is that like the government?

And the video...case...closed.

@RESHIRAM5 @ITCC_Andrew as you can see when I was working my way through GT traffic I was perfectly fine and nowhere near you. And the incident with Resh was pretty much 100% your fault for leaving him no room. And  at my slide with RACECAR!

Who do you think you are? :P Don't you talk to the creator of GTP's ITCC-wrestlemania like that! Lag punting is a serious offence and all your fault. You intended to do that! (sarcasm)

@ITCC_Andrew I think you owe @RESHIRAM5 an apology. That is pretty bad that you were that mad at him for that, when it was for sure your fault.I just looked at my replay and it is the same as @Furinkazen 's.

Also, @Storm_SP17 I hope you get back on your feet soon buddy. This is a bad time of year to have that happen to ya. I hope you get things figured out soon.

Only apology here is you to me, for wasting my time.

For the record, ITCC is cleanest series I've ever participated in. I even participated in WRS, and it wasn't clean enough for me. ITCC is cleaner than WRS. That says a lot.

Wow, that's pushing it a little. Contact happens in motorsport, and all across the board in GTP racing, and yes, that includes the ITCC. I have raced with cleaner drivers than the ITCC bunch before, honestly. I'd understand someone being a little annoyed at the time, PERHAPS, but yeah... Saying someone owes you an apology for wasting your time (for the incident above? Surely not?)... That's just taking it to far.

If, in a football (soccer) match, someone runs into me or trips into me by accident, would it be reasonable for me to go to the referee and/or my team's coach saying they wasted my time and that they owe me an apology? Exactly.

Furin vs Andrew round #592.5:

THE REVENGE OF THE LAG PUNT AND THE APOLOGIES

Have my lunch money, I want to see this match.
