Hi fellow racers, due to the fact that i am moving house and there is not yet an internet connection in the new place i have to cancel for tonights race .
I thought i would have the connection working as from today, but it wont be till the 8th .
I saw there are 2 reserves, so i guess i dont screw up for everyone .
Good racing tonight,

Mops

Bummer 👎
I guess the upside is that you will be ready for next week, see you then ;)

Work schedule all messed up. May be there for the first race... just hold me to the 30 minutes prior

thanx

No problem, we are runnng a live quali this week, so you have until about 3:15 EST to join the room. As long as you make the start you are good to race. 👍

I'm good to go for tonight. 👍 Wasn't sure I'd make it, but I am now :mischievous:

Good to hear Lucas.
Hopefully we will get a couple more last minute sign ups for the NA race to give us a field of 12 👍

I can now confirm my availablility for both I am still under my d/l limit (400mb). I will watch if there is a full field in the EU race.
Should I redo registration form?

You are already registered for both, so you are good to go 👍
You can certainly change the 'Reserve' to confirmed though.

Just noticed something for eu race. 3 d1 drivers all red, 2 d3 drivers both black, 2 d4 drivers (we can ignore dale for this observation :D, he still reserved) both blue. And now we see the 4 d2 drivers that have chosen 4 different colours, I think they're like the rebellious teens of the wrs :indiff:

Congratulation Wes, great race today 👍

Exactly! Great race Wes, and congrats to James (Twissy) and Chris for their Podium finishes.

Results for the EU race will be posted following the NA race tonight 👍

I noticed that Christophe is registered for the NA race - does anyone know if he got to bed on time and will therefore wake up in time? Would like to watch the live stream for this one

Livestream going up again at 03:00 GMT.
10 min from now.

Edit:

I'm here Jon. ;)

Well good morning to you Christophe. Got to admire your dedication 👍

EDIT: I've got coke and popcorn at the ready. Gentlemen, start your engines!

Hope you enjoy the show Jon :D
P.S Chuk is flying an currently provisional pole (still qualifying)

Enjoyed that one - good race between Christophe and Chuk for the first ten laps, but I think Christophe struggle with tyre wear.

Nice win Marc, congrats 👍

Thanks for streaming Christophe.

Yes I did have some tyre issues once Marc caught up to me I just coulmdn't keep up anymore...
Think I shot my tyres in the battle with Chuk.

Thanks for watching

Almost had enough to catch Marc for the win, but almost doesn't get it!! Great race, Marc!
And that was fun running with you, too, Cristophe! 👍

Good race today Marc, Chuk and Chris. Going to have to watch your racing a bit later :)

Thanks Guys 👍

That was great racing Chuk!
Even I had to watch the replay to see how the last 2 laps played out.
I'm pretty sure if you didn't make the pass on me so early in the straight, the win would have been yours. It gave me the chance to draft you for 2 seconds or so, and that gave me the chance to pass you back. Great Finish 👍 Go Habs Go !!!

After the EU race I changed my brakes to 2/8 and ABS to 10, but more importantly I changed the brightness on my TV so I could see the T1 chicane better and that made a world of difference.

Wicked start Gooners 👍
I just couldn't believe you went from 9th to 3rd in 1 turn, but hugging the wall and watching virtually everyone go wide certainly worked out.

See you all again in a week....in the Rain :D

Congratulations to Wes for the EU win with his no stopper strategy :scared:, and Marc for the NA win by a HUGE 0.370 seconds :boggled:.

EU race was fun, finished 4th. There was no way I was catching the front 3, but me and Chuk were no more than 2 seconds apart fighting for 4th from laps 1-35. Quality racing Chuk :).

The less I talk about the NA race the better , but definitely disappointed with my 4th again.

Haha thanks, I was doing the evil laugh in my head the whole time :mischievous:.

I should hope so
I remember watching you go by in the race and simply said 'WT:censored:'? How did he do that? How could he do that? How could everyone else let him do that? How did I let him do that? I'm gonna have to watch the replay.... I did, and it was all good 👍

Congrats Wes and Marc!

Sorry about that bump in tight traffic on lap 1 at the hairpin, Marc. You handled it well. :)

My race was basically with Al...after a couple laps I was alone in the middle, losing gobs of time to the 5 or 6 guys ahead of me, and I could see Al slowly gaining on me. Pitted after 18, and he continued on for about 5 more laps. After his pit he was down by about 10sec, but he caught me on lap 34 (I think). Nice driving, and strategy, Al! 👍

Next week should be a new and exciting experience. :)

I lost the NA race the same way I lost the WRS. A botched t3 when I needed it most!!! :irked:

Seriously, though, the late pit for fresher tires seemed to work pretty well, I just needed to drive it better. The pass you are referring to came as a complete surprise. My intention was to draft you down the straight, but suddenly I almost hit you in the tunnel! :scared:

But it was somewhere around lap 28-30 when I really lost it the second time. I was making time, and wanted to start pressuring you hard by lap 32. Instead, I hit the wall and stayed just far enough behind to cost me a chance to win. :dunce:

Great win for you!! Well done! GO HABS!!!

Thanks to Marc for doing the results tables.

OK guys with the results being out the event is over, now go sign up for GTP WRS-Online : Event 22 : Rain Dance.

We are struggling a bit with GT5's quirky weather settings so we'll be doing a bunch of testing. You can probably plan to have a little bit of every type of driving from full dry to full wet. Should be interesting.

See you in that thread.
