While I'm on reserve for the NA race, there is quite a good chance I'll be there.

If I get home in time I'll try to make the NA too. Could be very close though...

Sorry guys, can't get myself together to do this one.

Good luck in the race!

EDIT: I am streaming however! :D
It'll go up in about 6 min.

Congratulations to Litchi and Matthew on the other podium places.

Thanks to Christophe and Tim for filling in the docs.

I signed up as reserve when I was half awake this morning and forgot the underscore in my name. I'm just going to sign up again. :dunce:

So sorry guys I slept right through my alarm this afternoon :( I know "no shows" are frowned upon and I'll ensure it doesn't happen again.
Great pace Wes! Wish I coulda done a few laps in your draft! 44.7 my best so far in first 2 laps and I see you got it when it counts so hats off to you. 👍
Hopefully see you guys in an hour, I'm rushing to get to NA race.

Where is the race I can't find it :(

Never mind I'm just a bit dumb in the head.

I think the lounge will be open soon - the NA race is an hour from now, roughly (Daylight savings went away). Check the first post timer and links - posting from phone.

The race is in the 3d3 lounge, but not for an hour. I will open the lounge in a bit... Wrapping up dinner now. Anyone is free to set it up.

I'm on my way to the lounge. Since I had no time with the combo I need to get practice in if I'm going to race.

The lounge is setup now for pre-race practice. Qualifying starts in about 50 minutes.

If anyone saved the replay I left without it :dunce: First time I've done that *ever*.

I have all the data except fastest lap and I need the pole sitters formation lap time (lap 1 time) so we can figure out total time.

I'll check in the morning and update the docs Tim 👍
1:48.701 for me I Think - only 4 seconds off pace

Thanks Al. 👍

Here are the "official" results of the NA race:

Congratz Mark. You had a battle on your hands tonight.

And the "unofficial" combined results:

Litchi, good consistency between races. 👍 Within 1 second! If I'm not mistaken that's your third 3rd place in a row in our events counting the enduro. 3 for 3 in 3D3 from a D3 driver. We all know you aren't D3 though.

I had a lot more open track in front of me tonight and a much better performance although the first stint was a long drawn out battle with Pekka that left my tires in shambles. I even got to spend about 5 laps in the lead after the 1 stoppers pitted. :dopey: I was hoping JTV would make the race because I was ready for more battling with him again... only this time with different results. :sly:

lol Tim. Thanks for the compliment :)

You did great Litchi. Especially during the time trial. Your driving is more like D2 Gold, D1 bronze material. Anyway, keep up the good work. 👍

Next time I'll listen to Tim when he's talking about fuel. With 40 liters, I would have been able to do another 5-6 laps easily.

Only when I talk about fuel? :sly:

Glad your connection held up this week. I know you've had a few issues, but it's intermittent. Do you have your PC on a DMZ? You might want to consider that if your router can be configured that way. Firewalls and Wireless are probably the two biggest culprits when it comes to network issues. Obviously a spotty/bad internet connection is top on the list, but that's usually a constant whereas your issues seem to be intermittent.

Putting your PS3 on a DMZ basically means the firewall doesn't try to block anything to it. Putting a PC on the DMZ can be unsafe, but the PS3 is not very vulnerable to attack from hackers so I wouldn't think twice about it.

Not sure what was happening with Shawn's connection last night. I know he restarted his PS3, cleared the cache and even reset his modem/router and nothing helped. In that case most likely it's just his internet. I know other internet works perfectly, but pretty much nothing else you are going to run is going to need a constant feed of information to survive. When GT5 creates a tunnel (or connections between each driver) if there is any momentary/isolated cutoff of the communication you get lag, but anything bigger and it's a DC. Not sure why they didn't make a more robust system. You'd think if you are in the lounge and not even on track it would just keep trying to restore those connections... I can understand during the race itself it can't afford to just wait forever, but sitting in the lounge it just makes no sense... they seemingly cobbled the net-code together. Probably just couldn't afford any overhead at all for robust connections. On the other hand, it's pretty amazing we had 16 drivers for the enduro and not a single DC so when it does work it's pretty awesome.

My PS3 has to be DMZ'd because it's the only way I can play any multiplayer. Getting dropped from PSN was completely new for me.

You're welcome.
Sorry I didn't see your request sooner. I was doing an offline endurance race.

Some video highlights from the first half of the NA race:

I didn't cut much so decided just to go at double-time after the first lap. There was some great close racing. Funny how at the start the field split up in to smaller groups and each group had some close driving.

This event took some practice to get used to the car, but provided some fun (and at times very frustrating) close racing.

Yannik... how did you end up going into the pits first and coming out in 3rd? I think had you come out first you probably end up winning the event. T-L definitely owes his crew a few beers for that stop. :sly:

Edit, here are the livestats from the 2nd half of the race:

I've put too much fuel. Stupid error from my part. Or it could just be that I have Mclaren's pit crew.

Thanks for the videos, they are greatly appreciated. And at double speed, the lotus sounds like F1 that's cool. :sly:
