I registered as well. Looking forward to it!

Btw, the entry list is broken, doesn't show any names right now...

The entry list is showing for me right now... and I noticed it got fancier! Those colours! Tim, 👍

Speedy made the color bodies and rims. I just linked them in the form.

The doc is quirky this week... We may be pushing these google docs a bit now with all the dynamic images plus the third time zone. I would open the doc and see the practice times imported one time and a minute later they go away.

I submitted my time for EU race

Was doing some 1.42.low in practice today. As always these 4WD cars are strange to me and my ds3 ;)

Maybe it's early but it appears participation may have fallen of the cliff.
I've seen this in autocross and other racing, for years. Lots of new people show up with high hopes of top 5 finishes or whatever. They figure they're hot stuff on the street so autocross should be a breeze and they've come to show us old timers they're younger, faster and better. Of course that rarely happens but the ones that keep coming back eventually do become skilled competitors and sometimes show us how it's done.
I bring this up because I think it's likely to happen in this club and probably happened in the past.
Now that the GTP tag requirement has been dropped I believe your going to see a lot of new drivers come and go.
I am new to GTP racing but not to racing and I hope to keep doing this because it's a blast and fills my off season.
Please! If you're new to this, keep your expectations reasonable, race for fun and learn from the experienced guys.
Don't quite!
You WILL get better.

I see a few drivers that have filled out the event form, but haven't yet filled out the driver form for GT6:

@GTPGhost, @Intercpt, @EuroTuned

You will be filtered out of the registration doc for GT6 events until you fill out the following:

3D3 Racing Online - GT6 Driver Database Entry Form

You only need to do it once and it will apply for all future GT6 events

------------

@See23, a drop this week was expected/anticipated.

It's the first week we've required all drivers have run the qualifier and a few drivers who participated the past few weeks haven't. Why? I have no idea, it's not that hard really, but hopefully they'll run it and join us in future weeks.

Second, the official WRS time trials have started and people are pre-occupied with that. About 90 drivers have submitted splits already and it just started on Saturday. Next week I expect many of the drivers running the TT to come back online as the race will be based on the TT (Audi @ Apricot Hill) and they'll be up to speed already.

Finally, a few drivers have been filtered out as noted above and will show up as soon as they fill out the driver form.

True what you said, in my case i'm playing GT series since GT3 and i have played GT5 online races events for over 2 years, this events looks good but there are also many other good championships out there.

The more competition the better.
I made the comment early hoping some on the fence may stick with it.

I forget who, but someone did post that they were disappointed in their performance and wouldn't be coming back. I feel for him and I hope he reads the comments that followed.

Because there are so many in game time trials, I'll likely stick to the racing series for the head to head fun.

Looking forward to Fuji!! (I hate that track!) :)

Might also depends on players taste ;)

Didn't participate last week as I don't like to run much FF asmathic cars online
This week combo seems real fun and race should be challenging, but I really doubt to participate for the mad audi combo coming for next week, this is way too fast for me :nervous:

Too bad I got disconected and can't come back, apparently incompatibilty with the host :(

Wrong thread. I may be joining soon, or do the TT.

I got the same message.

My time also is not up here, have patience though I'm sure they know of the issue and are trying to fix the problem.

DCed but theres some quick drivers out there, and consistent too. Always spin second to last corner on the uphill brake to turn in.

Fuji is a weird track.
There is so much open space and wide sweeping and / or inconsistent corners that it leaves a lot of room for interpretation on the best line.
Not sure how they did the math on that course design.

I think my long day of beig up 16 hours already today is showing, 1.44.xxxs. Pretty poor really.

I would say everything you mention make this a good track for driving and racing. Why would a track be interesting if there was only one possible fastest line and it was obvious? I know it's just my opinion, but in my opinion this course is pure genius... evil genius.

Doing a bit of research letting my body relax a bit, found this vid.

Makes the same sorta mistakes i keep making. Even with more downforce.

For some reason I always seem to struggle at Fuji, I seem to be losing loads of speed going through T5 (at the end of the curved straight) and the final turn. Stuck lapping in 1.43s, my best all night during practice was 1.43.1

Also does anyone know how many miles the GTR can go before it needs an oil change?

And for amusement

Love smokeys attitude. Reslly thought times would be quicker than 1.48s

Ok, so we had our first couple formationlap practices.
All in all, it went quite well. Just these couple mistakes need correcting. :)

And last one but also pretty important. No overlap is allowed like shown in previous pics but in the next one, leaving a gap like that should be avoided. You're just giving yourself and the ones behind you a gap to begin with.

To give you guys an idea, the beginning of the next video shows a near perfect formation.

nice, but that last photo is open to interpretation.. in a photo you'd never think the grey and yellow gtr are backing off because the grid was slowing down fast and bunching up when approaching the start / finish line..

Only joking, great example..

formation lap, harder than the race

the grey gtr is mine, by the way...
