Sorry guys, forgot to include the event after I edited.

I was talking about the DTM race. If anybody now has any answers to my question then they would be greatly aprecciated.

Thanks.

Tranny, suspension, and drivetrain (I think that was the question?) can all be maxed and adjusted. Just don't add any turbos. The original online event post has all of your answers. Except the answer to "How do I beat WRP001 or Hydro?"

EDIT: Sorry for missing practice when I had hinted that I'd be there. :ouch: Stuff came up. And for tomorrow I'm going to make race 1, but might have to settle for spectator or just missing it for the rest. Again, stuff came up. 👎

Change of plans guys, I won't be at home today. Have to cancel my entry.

Maybe see you at the Nordshilfe.:)

Looks like a great day of racing scheduled, good turn out for registration too.👍

I'm afraid I have to drop, got too much real life happening today:tdown: Gotta go get tires on the wifes car and I have to keep her happy if I want to continue with this at all.

Next time:tup:

Happy wife = happy life. 👍

Very happy wife = triple screen? :dopey:

Still working on #2.

Race lobby is open for pre-race practice.

I just updated my registration. I can race the first, and I'm a definite maybe on the next two. No way I can race Laguna tonight.
I guess I'm fortunate in that my wife doesn't give a crap when I race. She just plays her computer games and for the most part leaves me alone! :)

Ok, I can confirm my presence in Mountaineering and KazSpa, the maybe on "Decisions, Decisions" turned out (as I feared) as a "No show" sorry about that.

Since it's my first time in these, and just to clear things up, Mountaineering is made with a car from the default (as in, not mine) garage, right? Therefore, untunable and completely stock.

About Spa I also had some doubts, but Hydro's post up there cleared them all.

I have ZERO practise so I'll probably watch the races from the back, will move aside when lapped :dopey:

Off I go to mountaineering practise now.

EDIT - What does this mean?

In Event Tuning Settings: R/A functions only

Correct for the choice of car, it is from the Recommended Garage.

R/A Functions can be mapped to your controller/wheel. It will bring up a menu on the track/in race to adjust TCS, 4WDtq/split, ASM, ABS, and Front/Rear Brake strength while driving.

In the communities tab select 3d3racing then select lounge.

It's a private lounge, not a public room. When you click Community, you should see a vertical list of your PSN friends. Find GTP_3D3Racing and click it, and then click the Lounge/coffee cup to the right of that. It will bring up a list of who's in the room already.

In the main Options menu, in the wheel setup or DS3 button setup, you can map certain buttons to change things like brake balance, traction control, etc, on the fly. It's very useful.

Sorry this is late, but i signed up for, Rock the KazSpa and EDK Goes to Laguna.

I just removed my maybe from 'Decisions' and put a maybe on 'EDK goes to Laguna'.
Tim, do you need me to be at the 'Decisions' lounge to host? If needed, I can do that through the HD PVR on my PC.

No, Hydro is going to host it so we're good.

Below are the results from Mountaineering. Congratz Wes!

Congratulations Wes, sorry to all I couldn't see. Looking at the results I understand now that at some point I was in the way of the guys that chose to pit mid-race. From them all the only one I could see was GTP_jtv90069.

Nice battle in the last few laps with MadMax86, we were both with shot tyres and it showed

Grat race guys, and another Win for Wes 👍
Keeping up with you is no easy task, and someday I really, really hope I can :D

Here's some food for thought:
All pics are from lap 30:

1. GTP_w-g-e: No Pit stop

2. GTP_Hydro: No pit stop
Hydro.jpg

3. GTP_Gravitron: 1 pit stop

The most interesting thing I noticed was not that Wes had better tire wear (seen that before - a lot ;)), but that he had more fuel left as well.
So, on top of driving faster than everyone, his (virtual) carbon footprint is the lowest.
Man do I need to learn to drive smoother....

Marc, I can see your reflection in the pictures... nice picture taking form with the pinky sticking up... you do that smooth enough.

My tire management was a lot worse than yours. I think I was out of tires after 13 laps. 👎 At least I nabbed fast lap. Congratz to Gravitron on a 2nd podium in a row... he may start making a habit of that which spells trouble for the rest of us that enjoy a little bubbly after the race.

Probably due to short shifting on the exit of corners and taking the corners in a higher gear than needed to conserve tyre wear, helps with fuel too. How I survived Monza anyway

Not to mention Wes is very smooth with steering input

I didn't notice at first. How's that for an easter egg?

Lucas is seriously starting to encroach on the podiums, starting to make me a little uncomfortable.... ;)

I shifted beyond the redline but some corners were doubtful whether to take it in 2nd or 3rd and I took those corners in 3rd. Used 2nd when the tyres got worse. Interesting nonetheless and good to see I'm nice for the environment as well.:dopey:

Congrats Wes and Marc for a great battle and the top spots! Thanks for the kudos guys, that gave me some warm fuzzies. :D I should admit that I probably wouldn't have caught you, Tim, if we hadn't had the invisibility issues. That really took some effort to get past, and it appears we were running the same speeds when alone (ie, without draft).

Sadly, I'll be surprised if I make any of the remaining races today, but we'll see.

Thanks Marc and Tim and EDK for making this ALL possible!

I sure got put in my place that race (and will most likley in the others):)

Didnt have enough practice and plus got punted off the track on the second lap. Just smoked the tires too much, need to work on my line and throttle control through those sweeping bends.

Over all great race even though I was destoryed. GTP_jtv90069 you are quick for someone in D3. Hope to be more of a threat in the next race (Decisons) or at least race with someone.

Gratz Wes on the win!

Nice win Wes, very impressive tyre usage and speed on the worn tyres (think you were still low 1'47's at the end).
Thanks Jsoccer it was a good combination for me (been a few lately) but the next three I'm thinking I will struggle with the extra power(and I'm just slow at Spa).

Race lobby is open for Decisions, Decisions practice.

Overslept - sorry, guys! That 10 minutes of practice was sadly wasted :dunce:

Hope to make at least one of the other two today.

Congratz to Hydro for the win! Here are there results, minus the fast laps which will be put in later. fast laps included 👍

By the way, at the end of quali for Decisions, Decisions, I was in the live timing monitor and it seemed to agree with everyone's times. So maybe that bug is now fixed.

I hoped that nothing would change my plans for the night, but I won't be able to race unfortunately - some RL stuff requires me to wake up early tommorow (dang, I'm so out of luck recently :/). Have fun!
