We have our 2nd result in:

GTP uk86ze v GTP MARSHALL

GTP uk86ze wins 2-0

Congratulations to GTP uk86ze. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Good effort GTP MARSHALL. ๐Ÿ‘ Another hard opponent for sure. ๐Ÿ‘

Had a great race even though beat both times.

Very close racing the type ive been waiting and wishing for online for ages.

Not to take anything away from GTP_uk86ze but sitting in pole for both races certainly has its advantages. We disscussed between us that maybe one pole start each would of even things out a little bit. And if it came down to a third race start level.

Im a Div 2 driver and he a Div 3 and there was nothing between us.

Looking forward to future events and its certainly been a great way of meeting fellow drivers and i hope we will meet on the track again.

I have to say that an event like this has lots of benefits, many of which have already been mentioned.
It also makes everyone concentrate on a single car - one which most people avoided. I think a lot of people shied away from the F40 because it wasn't apparently very quick. Personally I thought it went and handled like a shopping cart. Truth is though, the F40 does have some speed, and now there are lots of guys going quick in it.
It still doesn't quite have the pace of a well driven Calibarbie, but it holds it's own against the other Ferraris.

On the same subject - anyone else surprised how fast the AM Vette went in stage 1? ๐Ÿ‘

Another result just in:

GTP_ZippyUK v GTP_Racer_LP

GTP_Racer_LP wins 2-0

Congratulations to GTP_Racer_LP. ๐Ÿ‘

Great effort GTP_ZippyUK in getting this far. ๐Ÿ‘

I wouldn't bother to be honest. It's all in the first post anyway. ๐Ÿ‘
So true. I'll dump it from Luxy right away

EDIT just wanted to say to Sphinx that it's sweet you put a link to the new leaderboard in your sig ๐Ÿ‘

Two more results just in. ๐Ÿ‘

GTP_Wayne v GTP_TL

GTP_Wayne wins 2-0

Congratulations to GTP_Wayne. ๐Ÿ‘

\--------------------------------------------------------------/

GTP_Vaxen v GTP_Theewar

GTP_Theewar wins 2-1

Congratulations to GTP_Theewar. ๐Ÿ‘

Commiserations to GTP_Vaxen & GTP_TL. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

All 3 races decided by less than one second.

Final race was won by theewar by 0.012 sec

Another result coming in:

GTP_Nuclearfire v GTP_LinPark

GTP_LinPark wins 2-0

Congratulations to GTP_LinPark. ๐Ÿ‘

Commiserations GTP_Nuclearfire. ๐Ÿ‘

All 3 races decided by less than one second.

Final race was won by theewar by 0.012 sec

That must've been some real tense racing. ๐Ÿ‘

1st head to head gone to 3 races, must have been close racing.

The pairings were random, but both Vaxen and Theewar happen to be D2 Gold, so they were very closely matched.

I had the daunting task of trying to keep up as a D2 Bronze, and even in my Ferrari California, I could only do it occasionally. But I did take a few for the team by absorbing a few punts that might otherwise have been awarded to the participants.. :ouch:

Hi all, just arrived here after receiving Sphinx's PM. It was an interesting read, congratulations to all.

Reading EDK's last post made me think that, no matter how many seconds you delay the start, there will always be some frustrated backmarkers in your way. In the Evora Cup the 20 secs initial delay soon grew to 30 and it seems not even 40 would solve that.

I see that only the racers and stewards know in advance when the races are going to happen, but if ever (in future events or future races of this event) "spectators" are allowed, I don't mind (provided I can attend at the arranged time) to fill a grid spot and then head for the pits or to another predetermined safe place. Each "GTP spectator" that gets in means one possible punter that doesn't.

Really not a bad idea, but very difficult to manage. I suppose if we publicly post the race times in this section of the forums, it might help. We (The Admins) will discuss.

Have fun oh mighty qualifiers.๐Ÿ‘ Looks like there's already been some intense racing.๐Ÿ‘

Good Morning :)

Hopefully this video footage will show how close these two really were ๐Ÿ‘.

GTP_Vaxen V GTP_Theewar

ps Sorry for the small video screen size.....I think I used the wrong setting when editing the footage in WMM :dunce: . Double click this Video to watch it on You Tube in higher quality.

WOW and WOW. I'm so impressed. ๐Ÿ‘ Congratulations to both participants:tup:๐Ÿ‘ and organisers:tup:๐Ÿ‘. This is just verry cool. Really nice to see drivers, stewardes and a movie crew making this happening. Thanks DONK.

I now regret that I didnt participat in this one.:ouch: Happy to se Warren from T&L making it into next round. Congrats mate!

EDIT: Concerning my mate Hun200kmhs idea to fill the grid with GTP drivers. It's a great thought but drivers not participating in the race cant go to the pit. It would make a terrible RBE for the drivers. We all know how the cars grip change totaly if you're in 1st position with some seconds lead. This effect gets worse if the last cars are going slow or parks.

3 of the best races i have had on gt5p.There was not a second in any of them when either myself or vaxen could just relax, and as you can see by the last race finish time it could have gone either way:crazy:Also a big thanks to EDK and donk:tup:

Certainly something worth thinking about for future races. ๐Ÿ‘

GTP_Vaxen V GTP_Theewar

Excellent work, and nicely put together. ๐Ÿ‘

Thank you for all the time you put into this. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I got my PM last night and just signed in here today. Congratulations to all the guys in Stage 2, winners and losers.

Quick question if I may Sphinx:
Regarding this line in the PM:
Do not allow someone to enter the private forum via your account (account sharing). the random IP checks we do will pick this up.
I tend to log in from work mainly, but also log in from home on occasion, so two IPs would not be an uncommon thing for me. I also doubt that I am the only person who logs in from more than one place. Is this being taken into consideration in the random IP checks? Or are these random checks something common to GTP and if it hasn't raised a concern there it won't here?

Thanks

I've logged on to my account at least from 5 places.. :scared:

4, actually. :sly:

It's not a problem, guys. Just do what you normally do, and let us do all the worrying. ๐Ÿ‘

That's what I figured. I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks.

Well done 2Fast4Stig (Chrasher)
A well deserved win, and a couple of enjoyable races.

Good luck in the next stage ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I've completed the random draw for the second round. Those who are paired with a driver who has completed their first race may make plans for the next race accordingly. I've posted this in the main race thread, but here are the matchups -

Good Luck. ๐Ÿ‘
