Quick question to admin, what if your fastest time for one of the sectors is one that you previously accomplished while doing the license? Obviously that time was not saved, does that mean that I should then submit the slower time thats more of a realistic version of my current performance on the track? Just wondering :)

There isn't a requirement that the time be run after the event was posted, but you must save a replay of your run for possible review, so in your case you must rerun the sector.

But don't sweat over it too much, every time that has happened to me (and it's been more than I care to admit ) I've always come back with the same time (ish) or better, usually better 👍

I love this track & know the layout like the back of my hand & judging by my times, I hope I dont get placed into a division where I just cant compete.:scared::nervous:

Also, to the guys whom I raced with the other night. A very enjoyable time was had by all. Thanks for the races & it looks like I need to improve quite a bit to match some of these guys, although I was leading at one stage in Monza till I got the PIT maneuver put on me:ouch: Not sure if it was my fault or not, will need to ask Paulie:sly:

Just ran both sectors a bunch of times and I have to say I did much better than I anticipated. I guess all of the laps I've been driving around the ring lately, for the sole purpose of enjoying the day/night transitions, has started to pay off!

Regarding the sub-forum in the GT5P section for the Registry, are there any plans to relocate it as a sub-forum in GT5?

Probably Paulie, he's a cheeky bugger!

People have asked before (well actually once) to be downgraded to be in the right division. The moderators will look into your results of the last WRSs.
So even if you go too fast and get in a division that does not suit you, after a few runs you could ask to get downgraded to the right division.

For me it seems quite possible to know these 2 sections in about 4 days from almost scratch.
In the next 3 days you just need to strike lucky to hit that exceptional passage through them, so many that are not experienced will get very good times in a weeks effort (normal WRS). If they spend 2 weeks you will see incredible things.

==============================

Day 4, first day of Sector 2.

1) I seem to know the car by now, that seems progression a lot easier.:dunce:
2) Somehow I found this sector 2 easier to get a hang of the breaking points.
Special thanks to Small_Fryz 👍 for his advice for the entry into the carousel , really great help for noobs to the Nuerburgring like me.
3) I got on my first day 1 sec less then my original target for Sector 2. This makes my current total result 3 sec faster then my total orginal target.:scared:
4) I adapted my targets :dopey: and I would need to gain 3 sec to reach current more ambitious target, I'll probably even have to correct this and gain 4 sec , since for sector 2 the part after the carousel has still got a lot of potential.

Yes setting the targets is in thin air for everyone, since you do not have an official online ranking or ghost available. But then that is what real racers have in the beginning of the season.
So thanks for this ultra realistic qualifier 👍, finally we learn the frustration of not easily knowing what made the golden lap so good.

Other than knowing the layout from the AMG academy I've pretty much maxed sector 2 in 3 days. There's 0.25 left for a very good run and 0.5 for a spectacular run, but I doubt I'll put either together.

I expect sector 3 will take a little longer to hone to a best time, as the bulk of the lap is continuous inter-linking corners where a good run through one corner will gain you even more time through the next.

Nice effort 👍, Its always nice to reach your goal and max yourself out.

Best of luck with Sector 3 , Personally I find it to be quite tricky with those blind linking corners with big kerbs..

Just a curious question...all of you guys finished GT Life already? I don't know if it's just me, but for my own "peace of mind" I feel that I should finish GT Life before engaging full time with WRS qualifier

It's preference. I'm going to be participating from the start and I've been doing 2 accounts, and GT Academy on my non-GTP_ PSN. That was a bit of nonthinking on my part of signing up with my normal account. I don't think I've actually made much progress on my GTP_ PSN since GT academy started, but I am at level 21. Once round 1 of GT Academy is over, I will turn my attention to qualifying for the WRS and then, by luck, if I make it to round 2 I will put my attention back to that.

That is something I'm struggling with now myself. I still have to do the Le Mans 24 like 4 more times before I can get to level 40 (I can do the B-Spec 24 hours whenever). But really, thats all that is left for me in the game and let's face it, the prize cars aren't spectacular. So I may never finish the game?? I do know that I love the WRS so I think on weeks I don't like the combo, I'll do a 24 race 👍

I doubt that I'll do all the endurance races, certainly not the very long ones. But I will do them if (when) we get the option to save during the race. Meanwhile, I'll participate in the WRS, do the new online events and play with my Bobs. I also want to improve my drifting skills and have some online fun. So, for me there will be enough to do without finishing A-spec itself.

I'll be more inclined to do the longer ones once its a bit cooler over here. Right now in the middle of summer its just to hot to bother sitting in the rig for 9hrs straight etc lol.

so the WRS will tide me over until it gets cooler :)

This Qualifier is an exellent choice.👍 Getting some laps in right away. Hoping to stay in the same division.Good luck to all entering!;)

Lopped another 1.2secs of my base time for the 3rd sector. I could probably submit now and be alright but I'll have a bit more off it in the next few days with a good run. Not too keen on the long build-up at the start of the lap but once you get into the "real" corners it's good fun.

Sector 2 is pretty good. I probably should have shaved another tenth or two off it today but I chucked it twice in the final corner. Annoying to know I actually can do better but just didn't get the result today. I'll probably leave that one alone and come back to it if I feel the need to reduce my times anymore.

Okay so what is the easiest of the seasonal event bonus races for me to level up to level 12 now for a new GTP account?

Running either the Citroen C4 WRC event or the Nascar @ The Ring will get you well past 12. The Nascar event gets you to 19 IIRC by itself.

I am new to the GTP qualifier and just created a new GTP_PSN account so that I can participate. The problem is that I don't have enough XP to run AMG Academy with this account. I really don't feel like having to go through everything again. Is there a quick easy way to gain enough XP so I can unlock it? It's not going to be very fun doing everything again. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Vaxen,
Thanks, but where do I find those two events? I don't even recall doing those events with my main account yet and I am at level 15.

GT Life > Seasonal Events.

Please read this thread through as you will find a great deal of useful, relevant (and repeated) information.

All the best

A 23 page (and counting) discussion on the registry for an event. Is all this really necessary ? I've lost interest in this now, imagine if another contentious issue arrises ? There will be more energy directed to that than the actual driving me thinks. Meanwhile in other news Michael Schumacher has changed his name to MGP_Schumacher for the coming season.

If you're not interested, move on. Simple.

Regarding the tag:

Next BC, coming soon, we have a full grid of drivers: Bob1, Bib2, Bab3, etc, etc. A protest is called on Bub7 and the stewards have to deal with it. Can you tell me what team Bub7 is in so that we can deal with it please?

If only they had a tag, it would save us so much time and effort...

Honestly Sphinx, when was the last time we had a BC and someone called a protest on a driver? :sly:

I wasn't aware you were even around when we had BC's?

I can recall multiple replays that needed review since I have been competing, Add in the extra 5 years that Jerry has done and I'm sure he could dig up many to satisfy you.

I fail to see why you need to question the mans experience and judgement when it comes to online competition. He has been on both sides of the fence (competing and organizing) for many years.
