can we do a thread for those who have sent in qualifiers and are in the limbo period or something?

ps: yes, I'm really that impatient...... lol I'm ready to tear some rubber up!!!!

Look for the next set of applications to be processed tomorrow sometime.

You can just run the challenge and compare your times to the leaderboard, it just won't count towards division promotions or anything. You'll still get an idea of what pace you're running relative to the registered members. :)

Once week 4 is official (should happen tomorrow), I can compile a list of proposed promotions.

After Week 1 I was looking forward to promotions, thinking I had a chance. Now we are in week 6 and I think I am right where I should be. My biggest problem is being able to consistantly devote time to each week. One week I put in around 20 hours and then the next is 2 hours. And obviously the more time I put in the better I place.

It's been a lot of fun getting familiar with names on the board, and seeing each week where I am compared to them. Some people are so dang fast that it's not fair:crazy:

I know, I am just excited to see who will be put on the list.

Yeah, let's get Shigegaki up out of Div 4. He keeps making me one position lower than I *should* be. :sly:

Just jokin', Shigegaki, you truly compete with D2, from what I've seen.

That's the life of a racer! Keep on racing, and soon they will be talking about you being so fast!! 👍

Seat time makes the racer, and some are only hot-lappers, others are pure racers. Your speed will be relative to your skill, and this series is a great tool to measure your skill, and your dedication. The speed you seek now may take you hours to achieve in a week, but soon you will find it. And then an alien comes in and puts you to shame again! No worries.
The aliens amongst us are the first to help you get real fast, real quick. Rudi-racer was quick to post his set-up on this last combo, as did vagabond.
This is as good a learning ground for how to go fast as you will find. You will have ample opportunity to prove yourself, and these racers who seem so now fast will come in to focus, just believe in yourself, and your willingness to pursue. The time will come.
Race On!!

Well put Chuk:cheers:

I hear you Chuk, and thank you to you, as your setup was the only one that was driveable for me last week. I don't worry about other peoples times to much, just my own. I've read people say hey met their goal time for the week so they are done. I've never met mine and never will, it's always a tenth faster than what I currently have posted. Time to hit the track again.

I qualified into D3 Silver, exactly what I was aiming for.

I think Jeremy Clarkson said it best in his latest DVD, The Italian Job.
"This makes me the best driver in the field because I achieved my target exactly. Anyone can be on top, you just drive faster than everybody else. And anyone can be last, you just drive slower than everybody else. But to achieve exactly what you set out to do, that takes skill."
(It's a great video by the way, I highly recommend watching it).

Too bad my spring break just ended and won't get a chance to post a lap time on the WRS until I go back home.

Looking forward to competing against the GTP community. 👍 to clean hot lapping.

so, a few weeks ago i submitted my qualifier, and a week later i saw on the leaderboard what division i was in (div 4, gold).
so i was going to submit my final time for this weeks combo and now it says: 'div ?'
is it going to return or should i just wait and see?

Oh My God, I'm excited to see what my division is, but i can participate in the time trials before i know my division? Like i just sent my qualifier and i have time to race now, can I?

you can race and post your sector 1 and 2 times in the thread, but you can't send the full time until you know what division your in

at least i think so, i'm new here too :D

For the leaderboards, you need to put it in your signature! 👍

All you have to do is click the link to fetchbot and enter your time like below.
The rest of the details are taken care of once your registered.
You can find these details about submitting in the post #1.

You could put your format (PAL, NTSC) and whether you use a wheel or controller in your signature along with the division your in, as millross suggested.
Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 6 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
Time: X'XX.XXX
(Example-) Time: 1'10.100

i sent a PM, but it was rejected because the deadline was expired, this was already discussed in the other thread so it will probably get fixed

i think you aren't allowed to.. according to the OLR rules i remember.. I'll just say I was happy when i saw my times for both sectors.
