im a fast clean inter driver, gt5p is the 1st gt game iv played an got hooked straight away, want 2 move on2 pro but jus cant get the hang of it any tips so i can get gd b4 i register a gtp_ name, boogaloo08

Please, do yourself and everyone a favor, and post in proper English with capitals, punctuation, and no txtspk shortcuts like "b4".

I've finally got a new PS3 today since my last one broke about 4 weeks ago, I’m just downloading the updates now so I hope to see some of you racing online, but I'm going to be very rusty so please be gentle.
 
Wow i wondered what people were saying with divisions and gold/silver/bronze. I had no idea what they were talking about :P

I might have a go at this when i find the time to practice (The qualifier i mean). It would help if i owned my own PS3 rather than asking permission to use my brother's.

So how would you go up and down the divisions?

As far as I know, you won't ever go down unless you can demonstrate that you have been placed in the wrong division and are performing well below that level in races and time trials.

As for going up, when you have your GTP tag you can take part in the Race Events and if you win your division or perform very well against others in your division you might get promoted. But the best way to improve, be recognised for that improvement and get promoted is the Weekly Race Series (WRS) HERE

I earned promotion from D2 Bronze up to D2 Gold by doing relatively well in Race Event 02 and 03, and up to D1 bronze on the back of those Race Event performances, cemented by some good showings in WRS.

the replay had 5 parts to it so i just uploaded them all...

i think i only need the replay.dat file?

If you send in your time to Jack he will let you know if you need to verify your time. If so, he will give you the information on submitting your replay to him. It is not the normal way the WRS does it each week. For the qualifier it is not posted in the forums (like the WRS).

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, we will contact you via PM and supply you with all the relevant information you need in order to carry out the request.

Whats the plan for when GT5 comes out? Will you guys stop the RX-7 at Fuji qualifier? Will the people that have already qualified have to re-qualify since GT5 will have different physics?
 
There will almost certainly be a new qualifier for GT5. The new physics will will obviously change gameplay, so new divisions will have to be worked.

Do you think there will be a multiple lap qualifier so that mechanical damage and tire wear will play a factor into your divisional ranking? (what a great idea if nobody else had mentioned it yet :sly:)
