Manual choke? The last car I remember having a manual choke is the 1980 VW Dasher (Passat in European/South American trim) diesel my dad had. I will admit to putting a manual choke on my 1977 Buick Skyhawk instead of properly rebuilding the carbuerator (of course, I was in high school at the time).

As for being slow, I am Captain Slow's American cousin, plus I'm about as "comfortable" at Silverstone as one Richard Hammond in his first time there. :yuck:

My two first cars had manual choke and what a blessing it was to get a auto choke :).

Lounge is open in the WRS Club we will scroll through the 3 tracks till about 20 mins before the first race.

You did great job as a host Steve
Glad you could make at least two races Lucas.
Good racing everyone.

Great racing tonight, thoroughly enjoyed most of it.

I surprised myself at Silverstone, running competitively (for me, anyway), for most of the race, bar the last lap where I ran a little too fast, but all in all, a good race.

Eiger was a complete disaster, and I think I should explain. Firstly, I figured out how to take the corner after the tunnel quickly a little too late, and ended up qualifying far too fast.
The disaster struck, however, on the uphill section. I'd let a few drivers past just before, but ended up bumping someone, @Gravitron I think, which caused someone to bump into me, which seemed to start a chain reaction down the field, all I saw in my rear view mirror was carnage and mayhem. I pulled over to let a few people pass, not realising, in hindsight, how close to the racing line I actually was, and as a result @hasslemoff got stuck behind me. I let him pass and not knowing how much my error of judgement had affected the other racers behind me still, I decided to let them all pass, just to be safe.

Motegi, however, started off brilliantly. Qualified with a .004, spent a good chunk of the race in first, gathering a two second lead. I'm not going to lie, when @Gravitron spun out I was a little relieved, he'd been on my bumper pretty much since the race started. My lead, though, was not meant to be. I was checking my rear view to see how far behind the others were, completely missed my braking point so I slammed them on, my wheels locked up and I took a trip to the beach. A similar event occured not two corners later, and once again I ended up knee deep in sand, and ultimately finished 10th, where I chased @GTPCrispyOne to the finish line.

To finish on a positive note, having this in your mirrors for ~3 laps is quite daunting:

That is one mean looking car, @jtv90069.

Great Racing today. Watching four cars side by side at Silverstone without crashes was great. Could never have won at Eiger if Mike wasn't such a gentleman, making room for both of us whenever possible 👍. Motegi was a bit of a mess with lots of lagging but had a fun battle with Paul the last few laps.

I checked all 3 race replays on board some were lifting off before start finish straight and braking too waow!!
I remember being penalised for this and thereafter I have been using less power and not lifting off before start finish straight ,unless and until my previous lap was under cap and letting others pass

You should report it to race stewards in private message. I had to slow down couple of times but only when I ran in someone's draft.

Done
Edit:- but I guess all others were racing in draft as well

I slowed down at the line at eiger, but made sure there were no cars around me. It didn't slow anyone else down. I know I should of just compensated on the next lap but I guess I just panicked.

I guess the easing on some laps is not a problem guys in my opinion, if it's done without messing with anyone's race and it's not a strategy to run an overpowered car. Went below capped time at Silverstone and slowed down the next lap letting Patrick go through. Had to brake a bit after drafting Paul's Civic at Motegi, but off the driving line, and eased on the throttle at the last lap at eiger, but the lap time was above 1'22.100, and my fastest lap was 1'22.059. I just got scared of loosing the race in the last lap, and I had some distance with Mike so it was safe for everyone.
Drafting and the adrenaline of the race will always make us find an extra tenth or so (Even fuel consumption), and it's pretty hard for me at least to be so consistent as to run close to the capped time for eleven laps without having to adjust a bit.
I understand that this cannot be done as a strategy on every single lap, but I'm sure that's not the case with anyone here.

I totally agree!!I eased as well a couple of times but we are talking about couple tenths of a second.(I guess early shifting sometimes it's not bad)I am sure noone blocked by me and I was 100% clean all the time.By the way someone with a Silvia ruined mine and others people race by turning on me at Eiger. That caused massacre on first lap and we couldn't go anywhere.I would report this but I don't think he did it on purpose.

Am I the only one having trouble keeping the time under the cap at Deep F.? I haven't tested in AR yet but I spent the entire afternoon testing a couple of cars DF, and even when I cut the power significantly I still go over. I'm afraid to cut the power more because then the gearbox will turn to mush. The PP cap is 445. On SH tires I'm needing to drop to 380/390pp.

I tested Autumn Ring in my RX-7 and had to reduce PP to 410 ( and I may have to go lower) on CS tires. I will not use the SH tires as I would have to lower my PP even more and sacrifice more straight line speed. If you can handle the car on CS tires, that would be the way to go.

Totally forgot we could use the CS tires. I'll give it a shot, If I see that it's still too fast I'll just try a slower car that is cheaper than the options i'm trying right now.

SH tires are worth about 3 seconds. Plus, Deep Forest is the easiest track of the 4.

Wow, if it's 3 seconds just on tires then I guess i'm good then. I'll have to see how the cars handle tomorrow and run the other tracks. Anyone down for practice tomorrow?

Propably I will join you.Post here when you create a lobby

I watched the replays again last night. Great stuff. The highlight is probably Javier passing me on the OUTSIDE of the final turn at Eiger :D
Couple of small mistakes cost you a lot of positions Phoenix. The qualification at Motegi was crazy. I had 47.097 and started 5th (without anybody breaking the lap limit). I think 10th place was a 47.2xx

Running late, won't be able to start practice at 14:00. Gonna try to start at 16:00 (GMT).

So, who still needs to buy a car?
I suggest to do your testing at Autumn Ring. The Deep Forrest target is very easy to reach. I found a car that was perfect there at 445PP only to be 1.5s too slow at Autumn Ring :(
The 350Z or 370Z should be pretty good for this.
