GTP_WRS (GT5) Week 1 : Old School Tsukuba - See Important Update to First Post

Quick question for everyone - when you post your split times - are you posting the very best times you got for those sectors, even if the overall lap wasn't your fastest? Or do you post the split times from your best overall lap?

I post the splits from my best overall lap, and I'm pretty sure others do that too. After all, it's the lap time that matters, not the splits.

Me too, although with the higher difficulty of S1 and S2, I find them to coincide pretty regularly. 👍

You MUST race this online as the event is part of seasonal events 7 - time trial. To race in this, you must be online.

You have to be signed into PSN, and go to Seasonal Events, time trial no.7 at Tsukuba. If you not on PSN you can't do the Tsukuba Time Trial.

Same here.. annoyingly I have a lap which was .1xx slower at T2 but only .040 slower at the line.

You should be fine with any connection for this time trial, you just need to be signed into PSN as far as i'm aware, the speed of your connection won't affect the time trial itself.

Thanks alot mate - I did the best I could on the qualifier but much as I love Nordschleife I've never been particularly fast there. Having said that, I've never really liked Tsukuba but it's great fun in this car, which I'm loving for some reason - only the smell of ozone and hot metal from my wheel is encouraging me to take a break (The missus is remarkably supportive - what a star she is 👍)

My 3rd sector may be crap though - it's that final surprise I really love about WRS's format.

Yeah I don't think mine is too brilliant either.... but I've submitted my time now, and have just got my G25 back off a mate.... so i'll spend the rest of this week getting re-acquainted after 2 years away!!!

Yeah I don't think mine is too brilliant either.... but I've submitted my time now, and have just got my G25 back off a mate.... so i'll spend the rest of this week getting re-acquainted after 2 years away!!!

With the new format for submissions you can send in multiple times and it'll just register the last one you sent... so don't write it off yet Can't believe you let someone borrow your G25, though... for 2 years!

I'm losing the plot now and getting a twitchy right foot again. This evening I've seen a T1 of 15.358 and a Sector 2 of 19.295 (!! ) but on wildy varying laps where the other sectors are concerned. All I can hear in my head is the V8 rumble and transmission whine so I think its time to call it a day for today.

Even though it's only Week 1 of WRS, I have to admit that this combo is a love/hate relationship . I love the car & track 👍, but hate the tires . As an earlier post mentioned, it feels as if I'm participating in the Disney on Ice Tour. I'm a little worried that I might come out of the final bend & straight into Goofy

Anyway, new splits again & I finally cracked the 34' in T2

Did anyone try out my new (adjusted) setup? Feels alot better on turn in for me and I seem to be able to get the power down earlier too (no TC just ABS 1)
