Weird thing happened today after I set a new lap time. Just as I crossed the line, the screen hung for a good 10sec, I mean it just froze. I thought 🤬, there goes a good time.

Anyway, when the game kicked back in, I exited to have a look at the replay. You wouldn't believe what happened next. In the replay, as I crossed the line it freezers :ouch: so I had to reset the PS3. Checked again, same thing happened :grumpy:. Third time, again. :banghead:

I just hope I can better it, just in case I have to submit a replay

Same thing happened to me when I was watching my saved replay in the replay theater. GT5 was completely unresponsive, while with the PS button I could still access the PS3, very weird.

I'm a bit worried now as on my transmission 210 wasn't an option, but 211 was. Originally I assumed that it was a typo when the tune was written down, but now I'm worried that my car set-up is wrong.

Any idea why I may have different top speed numbers to everyone else? :boggled:

We are using 210kph, maybe you have it set to 211mph?

I'm becoming more and more annoyed with this combo now. On Sunday I bought the car, upgraded it and went to the track and set 34.7XX T2s within 15 laps. Yesterday I was struggling to get below 35.0 but my final sector was so good that I improved a lot at the line anyway. Today I'm back to setting good first splits only to end the lap with a rubbish final sector. How hard can it be to nail the final two corners? :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Got some code work to finish this arvo before I can get going, car is all good to go though.

My t3 was not the best, but the splits will look good at the leaderboard. :dopey:

T1: 15.338
T2: 34.654

Having a blast! Can anyone tell me if the "save best lap/ghost replay icon" updates itself, or do I need to be using it each time I run a quicker lap. I've been using it each time and am getting quite the collection of replays that I have to keep deleting. Also, do I have to back out to my home each time to see my replay or am I missing something? Thanks.

You have to manually save each fastest lap you do. You can overwrite one of your previous saves to cut down on the number of replays you have saved.

Doh!

Yep, forgot that we are bilingual on this site... :dunce:

I did think that having such a high top speed was an odd choice, so just ignored that bit and had it set to around 130mph, so managed to get the right result but in an arse about face way.

I´m strugling to get good times, but most of the time it seems that all i do is drift outside the track.
Got some 35.3xx but the last curve just kills every effort :ouch:

T1: 15.625
T2: 35.461

This car is a pig! I just could put 20 mins yesterday with obviously very poor results...still have a lot of time to find.
Something else, I followed all the specs on Page 1, but when I am tuning the car on the pre-race screen the car appears with 299 HP on the side of the graphic at the top right. (Bought it brand new, just oil change)...any ideas why is this happening? (I haven't take it to a practice session or anything alike)

Submitted my time. I shaved a tenth and a half off my first sector time but can't come within four tenths of the lap time. I don't think I'll ever get such traction out of the hairpin again.

If I have time later in the week, I'll probably give it another go, but I don't have the time now.

Ok, I had another go today but I just can't reach my potential, hopefully I'll be able to before the deadline. I do have some better splits though.

T1:- 15.522
T2:- 35.139

I had another poor T3, so I am not happy with my time yet. I definitely have a better lap in me.

I also just had the same thing happening to me :grumpy:
Never happened before with any replay

15.421
34.988

You do know you can only submit once, don't you?

Edit:
Nope - I'm wrong, as pointed out by Hugo in the next post. My apologies.

I know you already got one repsonse, saying you need to save each time you improve. That's correct. Having lots of extra replay files is part of running WRS. :dopey:

As far as watching your replay without backing out, if you run a multilap session, and want to watch to see where you might be losing time, you can watch the entire replay from the race screen. To watch only your best lap, you have to back out.

Oh, and I would be careful about saving over your prior best lap, unless you’re absolutely sure the new lap is clean. It’s always a good idea to have a few replays to choose from, so that you don’t have to turn in a close call.

The car is most certainly not a pig, but I suppose you are entitled to your opinion.

The difference in HP is because you have your default game setting as something other than BHP (Brake Horsepower). If you had more than 295 BHP, you would not be able to enter the event. (Yes, I have checked that).

Thanks EDK. Think I have it sorted out now.
Run a faster lap. Use the save ghost replay icon. After the save is loaded I can then view the replay with the replay icon. I found that if I press my triangle button after replay is started I can see the live timing monitor. Which enables me to see my splits. This is what I was after. Saves so much time. Thanks again.

I like the lazy and slow motion responsiveness of the Camaro. Getting the thing wow’d up to set the corner is a true challenge and the tork of the V8 is a nice change from all the high winding race motors. I just think that driving the car from the interior view is the total immersion event and recommend it highly.

Thanks EDK, that would make perfect sense then...
Regarding the car, I think that dudeondacouch definition fits way better what I feel...the problem are the tires :sly: (I was not even close intending to complain...really hate that attitude)
Still lots of fun...waiting this working day to be over to go and take some laps at Tsukuba.
