It's like Disney on Ice, this one!

Very fun though, and feels good when you get a good flow. Unfortunately i had a rear wing on, so my first 50 laps or so was in void... :P

Haven't got the hp up to full power yet.

What do you exactly mean by that ?

Normally supposed to buy the car, make oil change and that's it, you have the full 295hp !!!

Has anybody done testing around using the Chassis Rigidity upgrade?

I currently have it installed, but will build a car tonight without it and drive it back to back, will post my findings.

Anybody done similar tests?

Who has it installed and who doesn't?

Dion, I was running the car without (as I don't like to put un-removable parts on them) like all the cars I have so far as I read somewhere it can drastically change car behaviour.

Yesterday I put the chassis upgrade and didn't really noticed a significative change and get better split.
Not sure at all this has change anything ?
👍

I have tried both with and without (built a 2nd car) and I haven't been able to notice any difference.

Seems strange that a 20,000 part has no effect. But then after spending hours tunning the car and using opposite setups with almost no difference I'm not actually surprised

Oops look what has happened; as my internet was down for maintenance this morning, I went into practice mode to adjust camber / toe / lsd and do some hot laps as I was offline.

10.40am gmt internet now back up, so off to seasonal I go, could not enter seasonal due to Max power above 295bhp. Off to the garage I went to find that the BHP has changed from 294 / 295 now showing 296 / 297 with 245.1 miles (Distance) weight 1173kg.

I also found out yesterday on my dranddad account, I bought the same car did the oil change, went to my garage only to see that the car was showing 297bhp with no miles on the clock.

Phillip.

Got my first splits, I feel there's much more to come in both driving and setup. How much more is much more though I don't know. Maybe much more is only a little more.:odd::lol:

T1- 15.358
T2- 34.858

Has everyone else just been using the Live Timing screen in replay and adding their first and second sector times together to get their second sector split?

Great times from the top guys, my second sector is certainly letting me down, amazing I can lose so much in just 2 corners.

Weird thing happened today after I set a new lap time. Just as I crossed the line, the screen hung for a good 10sec, I mean it just froze. I thought 🤬, there goes a good time.

Anyway, when the game kicked back in, I exited to have a look at the replay. You wouldn't believe what happened next. In the replay, as I crossed the line it freezers :ouch: so I had to reset the PS3. Checked again, same thing happened :grumpy:. Third time, again. :banghead:

I just hope I can better it, just in case I have to submit a replay

First splits,

T1: 15.907
T2: 36.228

On some corners, particularly the first left after Dunlap, I have to remember to drive the car and not let the car drive me. Still some time to be found, if I can find the time to make more runs. I'm running 12 lap 'sessions' and finding my best times in the 6-10 lap area.

Same here, 6-10 seems to be a sweet spot - the tires take a while to warm properly, so first couple of rounds is just a little drift here and hard brake on the straight, and unnecessary flinging the car around to stress the tires to get them warm faster. :)

I'm struggling to decide if 210 or 220 on the transmission is the way to go. both seem to get me to ~180 on the final straight but the gear changes in corners are different.

Wow The Leaderboard actually took time to load :D .108 Participants and still it will increase .

Will try Ramon's tune and see how it works out .👍

New splits very small improvement but alot better at the line.

T1: 15.652
T2: 35.391

Still trying to find the setup that suits me. More time there just can't seem to put three good sectors together. :dopey:

Cheers Shaun.

Had another quick 30 minutes this morning to try out a different tune, but was way off my previous times and so am going to go back to the original tune.

Although I'm loving the challenge this week, I can't help but remember that while running the qualifier with the Merc at The Ring I loved every second of every lap, even when I made a frustrating error. This time I've lost number of the times when I've had to remind myself that I paid a lot of money for my G27 and breaking it would be a bad idea...

I find 210 works the best due to the 3rd gear drive out of the Hairpins.

Splits are almost the same as before except on this run I improved a tenth and a half at the line! :sly:. This is not one of my better tracks however I'm enjoying learning it properly. Hopefully I can find a tenth or two more before the end of the week and grab a top 5, but I certainly have no chance to challenge the likes of Ramon

T1: 15.377
T2: 34.735

I'm a bit worried now as on my transmission 210 wasn't an option, but 211 was. Originally I assumed that it was a typo when the tune was written down, but now I'm worried that my car set-up is wrong.

Any idea why I may have different top speed numbers to everyone else? :boggled:

No idea, in my game (eu) - transmission increments are in 10 km/h, so 210,220,230 and so forth. I don't know what the US equivalents are.

Yeah, but with 220 there's a few extra km/h to be had in 2nd gear, and you can leave it on the throttle a bit longer before going full throttle and 3rd gear, for me it seems to be a little faster, but i could be wrong :)
