I've got them both on share, pre-tuned and full power. Send me a friend request on PSN now if you like... I'll be online for the next half-hour. :)

Thanks Chris, I'm at work for a few more hours yet, but i will do it when i get home.
No big deal if it doesnt get done straight away.
I may just drive the track in another car until i get the ones listed to learn the lines anyway.

Thanks again.

OK mate 👍 - here's a plan... I'll send you a request now, so it'll be waiting for you later. :) I'm off to bed since its 2.14am :ouch:

I have one spare of both vehicles. If someone would like one please let me know. ASAP too because as you know, I can only gift once a day.

Thanks for the sharing offers and stuff all but i will leave the cars there for the people who will have time to use them to their full advantage. Plus i have never done the whole shareing car thing so all sounds too hard. I may have a go at this win a ticket thing and re save till you get the car. Sounds a bity tricky but hopefully I can work it out.

If not I will just run in my other calsonic and just not post. Still a bit of fun.

Cheers

Hard?

1. Find the profile of the person whose car you want to use in your friend list in GT5. Click on it.

2. Find the required car in their shared cars. Click on it.

3. Go and drive it. :)

Everyone can use a shared car at the same time... You will not be depriving anyone else of an opportunity to use it.

Easy. 👍

From your GT5 Home Screen
Click (X button on controller) the profile tab, below the GT Life tab
This will open up a list of your friends
Scroll thru the list of friends until you see the one you want
Click (X button) on their name
This will now bring up their profile and list of cars they have on share
Go to the car that you want to borrow and click (X button) it
This will then take you to the rotating car scene with a borrow button on the bottom
Click (X button) the borrow button and a dialog box will pop up asking, "Do you want to borrow "users" car". Click yes, and thats it, you are now driving their car.

This is all done of course if they are your friend. If not, just send them a friend request and when they accept, you will then be able to borrow any cars they have on share. Also, any number of people can borrow the car at a time, there is no limit so don't feel like you're taking a car from someone else if you are borrowing it. To add, you can make whatever tuning changes you want to the car and it will not have any effect on other users or even the owner of the car. Hope this helps you out.

EDIT: Damn I type slow.

To me Motegi makes any and every car feel terrible at handling for some reason? :(
and its no different today or over the weekend doing the seasonal tt! But besides that .. thanks Chris for the Calsonic :) adjusted the settings a bit but cant get into the swing of it at the moment:grumpy:

but never the less some splits

26.734

Might be the last from me .. had enough of Motegi

Nice week, already three Division 5 Drivers :-)

Is there a big difference in the cars ? Or is it nearly same car ?

Something I figured out when tuning for the last WRS and the Enduro we did as well.

The car is highly sensitive to the rumbles, and you need to use the rumbles to be fast. Very low damper settings (1 or 2) make it so that the rumbles don't upset the car nearly as much.

Give it a try and see if it helps. :)

I also think diff settings have become dramatically more important with the latest physics, moreso than ride height in particular. That's the next thing I would mess with if you are struggling with the car, most corners are high speed entry with the need to be smooth coming out, the right diff settings can help manage that:

Glad to see that I'm not the only one that feels this way as I thought it was just me. Slowly getting the car dialed in tho and lap times are picking up.

Thanks Kevin:) I had messed around with the diff alot earlier on today, maybe just needs tweaking! Will definitely have a look at the dampers tomorrow though mate.
Thanks Mitch you have made me feel a bit better about it :)

I just noticed that after the update, these cars will no longer go to the 600pp as allowed. That update seemed to change the PP and HP of these cars. I am using Vagabonds cars. His cars are now registering 492 HP at 542 PP.

Here is the complete list of documented changes as reported by Polyphony Digital:

Adjusted performance point calculations to correct an issue where the speed of cars in races with PP (Performance Point) restrictions would be matched unfairly.
Adjusted the engine sound of the Honda Weider HSV-010(Super GT) ’11.
Improved the force feedback control of the Thrustmaster TS500RS Steering wheel controller to improve steering feel. This improvement will allow more precise countersteer on dirt and while drifting.
Copied and pasted frpm GTPlanet News.

So I borrowed Chris's Loctite, removed the weight, added a stage 3 turbo... and beat Chris's time by 0.13s :dopey: (but I guess he still had the weight and no turbo :grumpy:).

I'm not posting splits yet, of course, since turbo is not allowed... unless the rules change because of the update? 💡

New splits just as the car was yesterday, no turbo and weight still added

Another go, I have gone faster in all sectors, now it is time to put that together. I am driving the Loctite!

I'm discussing in the background with the other admins and getting specifics on specs.

But at this point, I am suggesting we run with these specs -

  • Min Weight Allowed
  • Max Aero Allowed
  • Engine and Turbo STOCK. No Upgrades.
I'm not sure what that is from a PP perspective, but it is still verifiable, since the turbo meter varies with the upgraded turbos.

A fully upgraded car is not what I tested, and not something I would want to entertain at this point.

We'll get you more updates later today.

Full aero, min. weight, and stock engine puts it at 546pp. That's what I was at when I did my 12 lap run. I have both cars set like that

Okay Guys.
I checked my Honda Weider which was at 600PP last time I played, which was the seasonal race #53,( last friday :( ).
It's now at 594 (oil fresh enough that I can't change it). I went in to my settings screen and I have 2 identical setups. 1 with stock gears and 1 with my gears. Stocks gears 625 PP and my gears 644 PP. And I know my PP was 654 before.
Going to check if a gears swap is now changing PP, will report.

Used a dealer bought Tacoma X-Runner. Bought transmission upgrade only. 364PP. Copied setting and changed gears. No difference in PP.

Edit: My bad, had stage 2 turbo on one and 3 on the other. Apparently the turbo you have installed does not show in the "Intalled parts" list in the setting screen. Learn something new everyday :).
But the overall PP has changed on this car from 654 to 644. (downforce not maxed). Not sure what the max was on this car before but max DF is 649 now.
Wow, this is really gonna put a kink into alot of hard work people have put into a list that shows PP for all cars.

Thanks.

Specific to THIS week, and THIS event, please proceed as I stated above until/unless otherwise directed.

I've set the OP to show these specs. 546 PP, with min weight and max aero.

Again, Turbo is verifiable by checking on HUD, so we ARE NOT allowing the turbo. The only difference between this and the original specs is that you do not have to change weight, power or Aero to make it to a PP that will allow you to enter the event.
