Yeah that is what was happening, I will try that when I get home, if it works then expect some new splits this evening :)

If it's still under warranty don't clean it (Logitech has a 2 year warranty in Europe), opening it will (possibly) void the warranty. However if your warranty has expired then by all means clean it as that's commonly the issue. 👍

My DFGT had a sticky brake and spiking gas pedal and I got a new one from Logitech within 2/3 weeks.

Does this mean that I have to send it back to them?

Check whether the problem is persisting first.

But it's up to you. If it's within warranty you're better off contacting Logitech and they'll talk you through the process for sending it back and getting a replacement. So yes, you'd have to send it back.

Of course you can just just open it up anyway, but it will (maybe) void your warranty and if dirty pots aren't the problem or if you have another issue further down the line, you won't be covered.

I think I may just take it apart and fix it, I have a feeling that I took it apart to have a look inside when I first got it although I don't know how they would tell if I did or not. But I can't be bothered waiting 2-3 weeks for them although it would be nice to have a brand new G27 :)

Marks in the screws and threads most likely. But as I say, it's your choice. Re-reading the warranty it seems that they can refuse to cover you if damage is resultant from dis-assembly not necessarily just from dis-assembly, but I wouldn't want to take the chance. :indiff:

Maybe contact Logitech and ask if opening the case will affect any warranty claims? Some companies are more lenient, but some will point blank not allow you to open the product up at all.

I've contacted them on their website and they said the will take up to 48 hours to reply :( I may have to whack out my DFGT if the problem persists!

Messy through the chicane so still a bit to be had overall. I reckon I'm pretty close to my limit though now but I must admit I'm enjoying this motor alot more than I expected.

Nice splits by the way Baron and Manu. 👍

Your making me nervous Chris :scared: Effectively our laps are separated by one chicane in which once in a blue moon I actually get it right.

Haha, snap... that chicane has killed many a good lap and my run through there on this one was pretty scruffy. I've had a lap about 0.15 down on these splits but only down 0.001 at the line so I'm hoping I can pick up a tenth somewhere... somehow. Making you nervous is a victory in itself though mate so, you know, score! :P

I've found a good setup for me now and was a tenth ahead of my ghost going into the last sector despite my G27's brake pedal glitching all the way from the 3rd corner onwards, does anyone know if you can fix this or does it need to be sent back to logitech?

hi

I had the same problem. I just was cleaning the shaft off the brakes with cleanerspray. now i'm driving allready 3 weeks without problems.:)

Just threw away a .2 through first 2 sectors. Oh 🤬 ! Too tired now, I can't see where I'm going because my eyelids are trying to close themselves

EDIT: Also my G27 is fine now, I took the spring mechanism apart from the brake and cleaned the ends where the spring sits, then applied some vaseline to it and now it is functioning normally :)

It's been a while. Feeling a bit rusty, and still getting used to my new wheel (maybe I should have used only one excuse and saved the other one for later...)

Thanks Chris for the tune. I'll try Kevin's later, also.

Still needs break in but down a quarter second so far. Been using Chris' tune but gonna give Kevin's a try on the next run.

Good day Gentlemen. :) How are we all? Nice to see a few new members and that the times at the top are as crazy as usual. I just spent an hour or so with this one - Chris' tune and my own gears. Its pretty easy to drive but squeezing time out of it is alot harder than I thought it would be. Nice work so far Baron. 👍

Neither are my best sector times but I had a magic run through T3 that may be hard to repeat. At least, it felt good for me but may be tenths off the pace. :nervous:

Well, after a days rest, I had another go at this. Really starting to feel better and slowly getting my groove back. Operating at about 80% physically and pretty happy with my progress. Another month or so and I should be back to normal. Anyways, here are my updated splits.

Good to hear from you Christina. I'm sure if you find time for another run you'll find enough time on the track to be near the top.

I can't catch my ghost anymore. Might try again this weekend. Any tune updates?

Al

There's some mighty fast alien blood around here. Respect to the top guys 👍
I'm in desperate need of some practice  haven't run a WRS since week 1. Gave the combo a few laps with the DS, fun little combo. Need to dust off the wheel and get back into the swing of things :sly:

Nice improvement in sector 3. These cars on this track will make for a good race next Wednesday.
