For once I got 2 'good' laps in! Gonna keep trying but happy with this. Seen a .194 in T1 though and .7xx in T2 a few times - this is by far the best T3 though. Maybe a 1:40.5xx if I absolutely nail one, but it's highly likely that panic will set in if I get near to that :)

An interesting thing came to mind while running this two lap style combo. It hit me that my ability to run consistent laps like a printing press could be something that plays to my strengths. I may be an asphalt turtle but at least I’m a consistent one.

Another second off my lap time and I could be the fastest American turtle :)

New splits,

T1 27.165
T2 32.805
T3 40.792

I'm slowly coming after you Captain, hehe :sly:

Second session:

27.247
33.078
40.791

Unfortunately I only improved on the fast lap.

I cant believe they've held up for so long to be honest! Was nice coming home to find I'm still on the podium 👍 Wont get chance to improve until saturday now though :( Work on setting me a challenge for when I come back :D lol.

Its a great little combo, worthy of a concours event one week ;)

The first sector haunts me.
I managed a 27.3xx last night, only to get caught out by whiteline fever.
Ran a very skiddish T2 only to tag the wall on the exit of the chicane in T3!
Cheers All !!!

Some Better Splits.:)

27.134
32.782
40.619

I am not done yet, still some more in it for me. My best lap so far has been a 1'40.404 and even that wasn't a perfect lap.

Boy am I glad you're in D2 now :sly:

Great splits Millross on the back of your stock car win, but I'm coming after you this time :mischievous: Other than making a hash of the chicane, we're pretty close I'd say. I'm within a tenth of you at T2. Having a night off tonight (probably :sly:) but I'll be back in Spain on Thursday evening for another bash. Seen a low .2 in T1 and a .80 in T2 so I'm on the pace, just need to not panic when I get to the chicane :scared:

Did some more laps , here are my current splits:

T1 26.966
T2 32.759
T3 40.700

MadMax

Back after two weeks off. I have too many games to play now!

This combo's fun. I've seen 27.07 at T1 and 59.92 at T2, but I like to crash into corners on laps that good.

First and probably last splits, if PSN is back up soon:

27.304
33.068
41.011

Glad I'm not competing against most of you guys...I can't seem to find the speed you guys have! Gonna try Zoky's BB of 8/9 next time..this one's 3/8. Seen a couple 27.9s through T1, but can't seem to get the hang of accelerating out of the u-turn to maximize the speed down the stretch to the down-hill section..

T1: 28.258
T2: 33.293
T3: 42.104

(1'43.655)

27.522 33.034 41.639 (1'42.195) Can I run faster? Yes. Will I? Doubt it. I hate this track with all my heart and a stock GTi with too much grip means no throttle finesse required. To simple for me. might submit after my 15 laps in. @Pyxen - just yank the wheel and punch the throttle at the right time, all this combo is.

Glad you're enjoying yourself. :dopey:

I had some time to get a few laps in tonight. Got lucky and beat my hotlap that happened on lap 10 of my warmup by 0.001.

27.623
32.997
41.138

Hi all,
Had about 10 runs (20 laps) so far and was suprised to find... I'm WAY off Div1 pace... :(
Will keep chipping away though! ;)

T1: 27.269
T2: 33.181
T3: 40.959

(1:41.409)

26.986
32.748
40.499

Consistency is going to be the winner this week. As much as CSL thinks, mashing the throttle this week is not all this week is about, mash the throttle and you'll run wide and probably end up kissing the barriers half a dozen times a lap!

Another improvement.:)

26.952
32.741
40.620

I am using ABS 1 and a BB of 2/8. I have seen a lap of 1'40.236 so my target is to run two laps at that pace, it's going to be tough to do that though.:scared:

Getting there, still alot of cleaning up to do.

T1: 27.626
T2: 33.672
T3: 42.022

Cheers All !!!

Need some clarification please.
The green painted section between ripple strip and wall: track or off track?
I just watched my replay and im curious now.

NEVERMIND:
I went with the theory it was probably dirty, and deleted the laps.
Justice to me, 2 laps later and a .2 over all improvement.
Definately clean 2!

Cheers All !!!

Everything is track, just stay off the walls.

And please use edit, rather than double posting.

No submission for me this week, once again I remembered myself why I don't like city tracks, walls are pissing me off....to blody iritating for me and it was only my 2nd session....:mischievous:

And I could use a litlle break from gt anyway, see you!

@ EDK - lol, not to worry I enjoyed the 2 previous weeks pretty thoroughly, last week I had enough fun for this week too. :)

That's a shame Zoky. I would have looked forward to battle with you again this week. Now where are all the other D1'ers???

In my opinion the main key this week is to make the gear shifting properly...I found that interesting yesterday, I almost improved 1.7 seconds just by shifting just at the beginning of the red line:
Here are the speeds I am changing gears in case someone wants to give it a try:

2nd: 92 km/h
3rd: 130 km/h
4th: 170 km/h

Going to the limiter will will speed big time...for sure!
