I'm having trouble getting the car to turn in and carry the speed required through the first section on the DS3, will give the latest tunes a go but what would you guys recommend tweaking to get that high speed turn in?

Disclaimer: I'm no tuner. I take no responsibility whatsoever if information below causes serious injury or death.

I've read having a higher positive front toe helps turn in, though it compromises mid corner and exit front end grip (which I find more valuable).

Biggest change comes from the LSD. Try running low Initial Torque settings (I always run between 5-7) to loosen up the car. Also run similar numbers on LSD decal to help rotation under braking and off throttle. Increase LSD accel too, though I don't think it'll play a big difference.

Spot on Mohit. My setups do indeed reflect those details. 👍

I can't get a good t1 from the ds3 either. Running v1 of Praiano's tune the lowest I've seen is a .463 but with Chris' tune, I couldn't manage below a 17.044 no matter how good I did. I can't take the first 3 corners flat out, I have to let off just a little before entry or I run wide on the exit no matter how well I do the corner entry.

To be honest, Sector 1 is a crap-shoot with my setup and even I'm not consistent with it either to be honest... but its optimised for the rest of the track and I think its worth the compromise for the laps where I do hit a good 1st sector. It will not make a good race setup though, for anyone who's racing next week.

I haven't run this myself since my last splits but hopefully getting a go tonight at some point.

16.455

22.693

the first sector so I can improve a lot, but surprisingly with that sector I miss five tenths faster than my previous lap

16.245
27.033
22.688

Lost maybe 4 tenths in sector 2, and a tenth in one. Man I hate that corner after T1 (start of T2) I can't seem to be consistent around there :banghead:

Nice job, Manu! 👍

Earlier I was going to post "Look at the top 5 D2'ers, all separated by less than a tenth", but you've busted out quite a lead on those 2 laps you posted.

Haha, I was going to do the same yesterday. Thanks, I got an "okay" spot with my tune but still don't like it entering the first corner of T2, I've thrown a lot of laps hitting the wall on entry or on under steering and hitting on exit. I don't know how to fix it, maybe ill try higher decel value on the LSD

Updated splits.

Your turn Mr. "Wins". :sly:

Haha okay okay. I'll have to stop at a truck stop to buy a power inverter and run by the house to grab my ps3 / monitor. Luckily I'll be stopping by home in about a hour and a half, but won't be able to run any until later tonight.

Edit: got my ps3 and bought a 400 watt continuous 800 peak inverter. Hope that's enough.

We had the "all 4 tires" typo in this OP too. :ouch: I fixed it to say "at least two tires in-line"; otherwise I have a feeling we'd all be illegal at turn 2. :P

Nice splits Chris, and I have to say, its been too long since the phrase "thrash it mercilessly" has left your keyboard, makes me feel like all is right with the world. :)
 Thanks Baron  Its a righteous thrashing to be sure. 👍

Another go but consistency is still, well, not consistent... :P

16.217

Up a tenth at the line but lost a tenth in sector 1 and another in sector 3, so there's that damned 2 tenths I'm always looking for. :sly:

Great splits from Praiano and Manu, plus the expected step up from Spud. 👍 Escama I expect to pull out something amazing pretty soon... ;) Not seen any 16.0s in sector 1 but I can do regular .1s... followed by blowing either the first corner in sector 2 or the left hander after the back straight in sector 3. many more laps to do this week. Cancel all my appointments dear. :scared:

Power went out last night do to a nasty storm and word on the street is that it might take til Sunday to get it back. Lame.

At least we still have hot and cold water though.

Sorry to hear that Baron, hope they get you powered up sooner than that.

Here are my next splits Using Praiano's tune this time. Thank you.👍

Threw away a few 16.4's in the first sector due to being too cautious on the remainder of the lap. Will just have to give it hell again tomorrow now that I know I can do it.

Your serve Mitch ;)

16.627
26.787
23.041

3 tenths better at the line :D

I hit a couple of .3's in t1 and a mid .2 but never could finish the lap out.

so, finally starting my 1st wrs-tt :) first laps already felt great :)
one question - what i've to do, to get the max. bhp? oil change - drive 300km - oil change? or how does it work?
tommi

2nd question: got the grip-reduction-option any effect concerning the speed? usally i drive on real.

Yea. Basically. What I do is oil change; run some laps to get a feel for it then let b spec run laps on the car until 300 km then oil change.

75 laps of the Indy enduro race, then just exit. I don't notice much difference with the grip reduction, maybe on wet tracks it makes a difference

thanks guys - and also thanks to vagabond & praiano for the setups and videos. it's a great help. thanks !!!

Slight improvement... if I can just figure out how to shave a few tenths off my sector 1 time consistently (and bottle up T3) I'll be happy :)

You sure about that sector 3 time there fella? I haven't even done any that fast... If it is right, check to make sure you're running correct specs. No SRF etc.
