Other than the first corner where I lost a tenth, I'm really pleased with this lap:

27.696
26.129
21.733

Gained 0.25 in T4.

27.900
26.091
21.782

.250 lost in sector 1 alone, have been in the 6s many times. If I don't get a split in the low 6s by the time this is over ill be pissed! Still using 5/6 bb and ABS 1. 100 miles done.

Finally had a chance to run some laps after my first go on Monday.
27.878
26.381
22.294

.15 better at line with better T3 and T4.
28.098
26.573
21.925

Hey, consistency can win races, Jon. 👍 OK, maybe not time trial races...:sly:

Nice work, mj & Matt in D2, making it quite a tight neighborhood. 👍

EDIT: Forgot to say welcome back to Matthew, congrats on your recent adventure!

Well, nothing new to report from todays activities. Still stuggling with consistency throughout the lap and still having problems with T2. Sooner or later I may figure it out. Nice splits so far guys. 👍

Great news! Since it's gonna rain on Sunday, we're coming home then! :D That gives me more time to fix sector 4 and make sector 3 a bit more clean. :D

Wow, I know I said bring on the aliens, but that is just ridiculous. He is all the way up there with the Division 1 times. Not sure why or how he got put into Division 3, but it seems a bit unfair to the rest of us. No real point in trying to win the division when you're trying to chase down someone who should be in D1. I mean, I like the competition and all, but this is just unreasonable. We don't even have a chance in hell against him.

Nothing personal Holty, but your skill level is just way above ours in D3.

Come on! You said you didn't give a rats ass ;)

I think he did the qualifier then never competed. Then got better over time and now he wants to play :P he also said he wanted to redo his qualifier but it wouldn't let him, so we are stuck with him until he goes to D2. Then they get to have fun with him :D

With his first splits, I was going to work to pass him. With his updated splits, if I pass him I believe Mitch would have an aneurysm. Lol

First 5 laps at this combo, and getting a time on the board to see where I'm going wrong:

27.888
26.292

I have a few time to play today.... going to race this ghost hard.
I think i can find time only in T2 and just a few in the last turn. going to be fun, i can't believe how i enjoy this stock 63 Vette so much . :)

Let's drive.

Yea Brandon, I know what I said. At the time though, I was honestly thinking that he had maybe improved to D2 status, and that I think I can have half a chance to compete with. But honestly, with his last posted splits, he should easily be in D1 and I just think its a bit unfair for the rest of us to have to compete with someone of that skill level. Now, I know that this posting is not going to make me anymore popular with the Admins/Staff than I already am, but come on now, lets be fair about this. Why should we suffer just because, for whatever the reason is, he was not allowed to re-submit a qualifier time. That is where this system is flawed, in my opinion and lies in the hands of the Admins to change.

If someone has went and did the qualifier and then became inactive in these events over a period of time, I think they should have to re-take the qualifier. And this was exactly my case when I first started competing. I did the qualifier then did not participate until many months later. And we all now what happened from there. I myself thought it was unfair to the others because I too had improved over time and offered to redo the qualifier so I would be placed in the proper division after my time of improvement on my own before competing. Maybe I'm missing something here, but why can't a member be allowed to redo the qualifier after a long period of inactivity? You know that the odds are that he has probably improved his skill level on his own time.

Like I said, I don't mind the competition and even welcome it, but lets be reasonable here. This is like me, or any of the rest of us in D3, getting in the ring with Mike Tyson in his prime. We are just going to get our asses handed to us each week with no chance of winning the division. Kinda demoralizing and takes away the spirit of fair competition.

I'm sorry, but I know this is not going to sit well with the Admins, and its nothing personal towards them, its just something I felt that needed to be said and addressed in the future. In order to keep the competition fair within each division, I really think that if a large enough of time has elapsed between the members registry submission and the time he starts actually competing, he should be made to re-submit a qualifier time. Even if he/she hasn't improved, nothing lost...right? Anyways, this is just my opinion on the matter. Nothing personal against anyone, and I truly mean that, I just think the system is flawed and needs to be fixed as far as these types of situations go, just to keep things fair. I'm sure I'll get ripped for this, but so be it. I'm not here to be popular, I'm just here to compete. Peace.

To be honest with you, I think you are looking around too much, loosing focus on your own goal. In competition swimming I learned that you mustn't look around in a race, it will slow you down. The only thing you can focus on is your own time. Set a goal and try to achieve it. If that wins you your division you'll be extra happy. That way you know you'll have given it your all.

This is an environment to learn, to challenge each other and to have joy in racing. I can't help but feel you aren't enjoying this as much as you could. And to be frank, you're taking a tiny bit of joy out for others too, at least for me reading your posts.

Alright then, point taken. From now on I'll keep my opinions to myself and only post my splits with no additional comments. My apologies to you and everyone else here, I didn't know I was taking the joy out of it for others. That certainly wasn't my intent. I was just merely expressing my thoughts and opinions, which I have seen others do in the past, and thought it was fine to do so. At any rate, you'll just get my splits from now on with no additional comments. Again, my apologies to you and the rest of the WRS. :guilty:

27.622
26.183
21.805

There's about .18 still left in the first three sectors, but chances are slim of putting it together. Having a lot of fun tossing this thing around, really fun to drive.

Im sure the admins will do what they have to do, it happened in the past and those people got promoted quickly, it can happen you have to deal with it for some events but they will take care of it if needed just give them the time :)

Not running this one Mike? ;)

I would have loved to, but i had some trouble doing the brake job on my car, bent the pins for the brembos in front, and had to find a tool for the rear brake piston that need to screw in, but i got it out trying to turn counter-clockwise and air got in the system... :ouch:

ended bringing it to the dealer to make sure i didnt messed anything else

and from then i wouldnt have enought time to really get the feel of the combo :(

Ill try to run next week :dopey:

27.733
26.238
21.706

I still believe there's decent gains out there.....

27.685
26.151
21.818

First two sectors almost my theoretical max give or take a tiny amount, then it all started to go ragged. Two wheels touched the sand up the hill and I got greedy in the corkscrew and ended up too far left which compromised the t4 first turn ever so slightly. I then went for it and cut it pretty close on the final turn, but it looks ok on review! Only 1/100th at the line so didn't really nail the last 50% of the lap....

There's two tenths left in theory but unfortunately I'm not theoretical.

Might be it for me, perhaps a quick 30 min blast on Sunday and/or Monday if I can squeeze it in!

I think your comment is valid , it's showing something that can be corrected and you have the right to express objectively your opinion the way you did.
Sure that the staff know about this kind of situation and will give a solution in the future like Mike says, to keep the GTPlayers motivation at the good level.
Even knowing the exclusive "ludic" side of this competition, the fun of all this is to be in front of the friend that always run at the same path as you every week 👍:sly:.....
Always in the fun fair way.

Have a good night and a good drive everybody.

I feel awkward about this as well Cargo..I submitted the qualifier time last summer and only took part in the WRS Races, no TT's. I never got into TT's because I prefer racing, but unfortunately this doesn't get your division changed. I tried submitting again this year as I wanted to see what division I was in after improving. I'm hoping the admins won't take 6 entries for my division to change.

With my handicap being taken into account I could possibly win the entire TT, not just division, unjustly. I understand your frustration, but I look a bit of a d*** as well.
