i fight pretty much with this car/track combo - already drove crappy 500km
actually i drive the car not so bad - but too gently. must push this chick, which is not sooooo easy at all

Thanks Tommi - had another 5 after this but always managed to find the metalwork. Saw a 39.7 in T1 and a 36.1 in T2 so still loads of room to improve.

I was using the 3D3 loaner. If someone knows about that car I think it's legal except for the tires.

I would have thought that they were the same, but the car that you gave me felt a little different. The tires were R1z but everything else looked fine as far as the specz go, so maybe it was just my imagination

Yah, I fixed that car on loan from the 3D3 account. The active sheet "B" had the comfort tires, but for some reason when it was shared it reverted to sheet "A" which had S1 tires. Everything else was according to specs.

quick question before I post updated splits.

When I checked my replay, there was a close spot at the 1st chicane. When I pause the replay at the spot, I see daylight between the car and the barrier, I took a picture (was going to post it and say this is how close you need to be) but the 'developed' picture showed me touching the wall.

I'm going to guess that it's dirty and carry on, can someone either confirm this or give me some good news that I can post my splits

I proved a point to myself in this run... its definitely possible to do 39.1xx in T1

just took a picture from the opposite angle and it's not touching the wall.... make your mind up PD

wasn't the mirror, was the wheel on the red + white bollards at the 1st chicane. But having said that, further investigation lead to me clipping a mirror later in the lap anyway...

OK, check the tires and set the tranny back to stock and it should be good to go.

Well, tonight's session has been up and down. Set some great lap times, all of which are clean in the replay but dirty in pictures.

I achieved my goal of setting a 39.1xx in T1, managed it several times, only to mess up T2. I even surpassed that and saw a 39.09x.. but I think that was more braking a bit too late rather than speed because I missed the apex for the first corner in T2, losing .2.

My target lap time felt within my grasp, but then tiredness kicked in, and I just couldn't manage it tonight. Got quite a busy weekend ahead so seat-time is limited, but hopefully I can have another decent go at this, because I feel there is another .25 out there, .3 for that perfect lap.

The other thing I noticed, is that this is my 250th post, kind of wanted to post that perfect lap with it, but hey, when do things ever go to plan!

Anyway, ending tonight on these ever so slightly improved splits:
