...and a good t3. Still losing time in t2 but progress nonetheless.

Edit: now seeing 35.9's in t2, but not on this lap. Looking for 0.3 on the lap as I dropped a tenth coming out the hairpin

That is an awsome first sector 👍 , I am still having a hard time in that one....

Thanks. I was braking a little after the 100 meter sign and I tried it at the sign. Thinking it was to soon I got on the gas earlier and sky rocketed past my .8 ghost. I saw the split and all I could think of was don't mess this up lol

Caine gets a .5 in t1 and resets the lap because its to slow. I get a .5 and my heart starts beating, hands get sweaty and I get excited. Ohhh the twisted lives of a TTer :)

Found some improvement in sector 1, but still not fast enough....

Couple of tv programs with the wife and the ten laps before bed...lovely! And it worked...

And a tenth faster in T3 as well. Lost a little going through the big left at the end of T1 with a slide, and also a bit tentative getting on the gas out of the last hairpin as I was worried about wheelspin, but otherwise really happy with the lap. Not going to get anywhere near Caine but its nice to get the chance to run for a good hour and be competitive

Well, well, well. Looky what we have here. I've been busy making next week's combo,
since our fearless leader is away in the sticks of Washington, racing for real. 👍

I hope I can get a lap or two in before the deadline to catch up to you. :sly:

make that .3 and reset 👍

you can carry more speed through the 1st chicane than you think, don't go too far to the left on the approach to it either as when you swing in, it unsettles the car. I found being more towards the middle of the track was better. You also need to be on the limit of touching the bollards there, both sides.

I double apex the loop, but for the first apex, don't touch the rumbles, it throws the car sideways. I also let off the brakes just before the apex, at about 45 mph, and immediately give it about 1/4 - 1/2 throttle depending on slip angle, the turn in will slow you down a bit more, but you should go no slower than 38mph through the loop, after the second apex you should be at 90% throttle until you're brave enough to go for it, but don't let the car drift to much to the left, or you will ruin the line through the left kink after the loop.

For the fast left, take an ever so slightly later (wider) turn in (still on full throttle) about 1/3 of the way through the bend, let off throttle to about 60-70% hold this until about 2/3 of the bend then back on the power, shifting to 4th if you feel a little unstable.

Finally don't brake too late for the start of T2. You can gain .15 on your T1 time by braking late, but unless you are insane at drifting it will loose you time for T2.

If someone wants I can make a replay of a 39.2 T1, but will be in replay not YouTube format.

Thanks for the tips. I never thought to hit the chicane from the middle. I always got as close to the left as I could. I'll definitely be trying some of this when I get off work. T2 is what gives me the most trouble. I've had a 35.9 only a handful of times. Weird how I can bust a good t1 but fail miserably at t2 lol its hard to give proper 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 accelerator/brake inputs with the ds3. If this was a 360 controller. oh well, I've already shattered the time I was aiming for. Anything now is just a positive. Again, thanks for the tips!

Will hopefully get some more seat time on Sunday and Monday as I know I can get another tenth or two out the first two sectors, my T3 however is pretty good I think (famous last words). 👍

I have reached my goal, and to be honest I do not think I am able to improve on my current laptime..... Submitted my time and I hope it is enough for a negative handicap. Good luck to everyone who is still chasing .....

I assume you're referring to me young man! In which case, have at it!!!! :sly:

Surprised myself a little but I guess it's amazing what you can achieve when you're not tired... Will submit this lap as I'm not sure when I'll be running again. Even if I do, I'd be surprised if there's more than a tenth left

Race on

This happens more to me (and I am not mad about it :) ) : From the moment I am satisfied with my time and submitted it.. somehow if I than go back to the track it just all falls togheter, earlier on I had been tryin to beat my ghost for several hours. A cup of coffe and a sigaret gave me this :D

39.672
35.704

And thanks Caine for the tip on the first chicane, like you said takin the chicane in the middle gave me another .150

Was .35x quicker at the line with these splits.... This should do it :)

Edit : Wow, when I look at the ranking it looks like I overclassed myself this week, this one should give me a decent negative handicap....dont think it makes sense to chase this ghost :)

some nice looking times up there 👍 I tried this one but can't get on pace and gave up way too quickly, I think fatigue is kicking in ;) however I can't figure out sector 1 and I cant get the car through the quick corners in sector 2 without loosing the rear, but my S2 is ok S1 is where I was struggling. Maybe I can give it another go to figure that out, I hate leaving mysteries out there, Cain I here your the go to guy for S1 would you give some advice :)

Nice Job Jon, Anastatis and Cain 👍

download my replay which I posted earlier, unfortunately I don't have a video capture device so can't upload it to YouTube. I also gave a written description of what I do. The replay wasn't my best, but would still be .110 faster than the next best T1 time 👍

no problem, glad it helped! Nice splits btw 👍

Awesome going Frank 👍

Thank you Caine for the walkthrough of T1. Seems like I can improve in the chicane and the long left at the end. I was taking that in 4th so far.

Can I have some of your witch craft coffee and cigarettes? Very nice. Don't think I can catch that.

Caine gave an explanation on the previous page I think Manu
Edit: but late there wasn't I

Thanks everyone for the nice words... guess it was one of those perfect laps, wich i do not see often.

been getting frustrated going slower through T1, and kept restarting. One lap I decided to carry on and glad I did:

39.429
35.470

new PB for T2, now just to combine an average T1 to that T2 and I'm submitting

Good day Gentlemen, its been a while (again). Working stupid hours most of the time and just have not been able to bring myself to spend free time gaming. My wheel has been in the cupboard for months but I dug it out this weekend after missing out on a cheap ticket for Leeds Festival :indiff: I'm a bit rusty but an hour spent hitting the barrier every lap made me concentrate. I've got a headache now but here's some very angry splits -

39.751
35.649

Yeah nice job Frank...you'll need to change your signature now hey :sly:

Another great lap Caine 👍

Looking at all my splits, I've got 0.11 to find for that 'perfect' lap. Of course I could use another tenth or two in T2 as well but will just enjoy running this one now if I get a chance.

A little help for the new guy...

Just got back and not sure if I'm going to have enough time this weekend to get a respectable lap out of this, but I'd like to give it a shot.

It turns out I did have one of these sitting in my garage. Not sure when I got it but I'm sure I've never driven it. I gave it an oil change and it's coming up with

143 hp / 850 kg / 402 pp

in the tuning screen.

I'm not an expert with the nuances here but the OP says it should have 151 hp

Is there something else I need to do to get this car up to up to 151 hp? The car says it has 22,000+ miles on it, so I don't think it's an engine break-in issue, but not sure what else, since my understanding is we're supposed to drive it stock.

I certainly don't want to start out with a disadvantage :)

Thanks in advance for any advice

With that many miles you can't get to full power without a restore ticket and then you have to break it in again. Send a FR to GTP_3D3_C and I will send you a fresh one. Post here when you have sent the FR and I will send immediately... if you do so in the next 30 mins.
