Alright, cool. Easily obtainable but at least I can get started on breaking it in. Maybe you guys could make this a common practice for the reasons I stated before. Even if its a Premium car, at least we can get it broken in ahead of time. 👍 Thanks again for the heads up.

Epic 40 lap no-restart session this morning. Not restarting can be both good and bad.

I beat my current-posted time to T3 about 7 times, only by a couple-three hundredths.

I beat my overall time about 7 times as well, but as mentioned before, my bus stop on the current posted lap is not good at all.

So I kept pushing on, as the tenths kept showing themselves, I wasn't satisfied to just stop and save the faster laps.

Lap 40 (which I later found out was down by 5hp) had a nice 27.711, 23.721, 13.578, which pretty much matches my current spits,
and then a trip through the bus stop that was like a time warp. I knew it was right on the edge, but wasn't
red-lapped...and I had the whole final bank to think about whether to lift...but I just went for it and beat my current time
by a good 4 tenths!

Upon checking the replay, which took quite a bit of effort, since I couldn't get it paused in the spot I wanted, I found:









After thinking about it, I was actually kind of relieved it was dirty because all 4 corners of the bus stop would have been a pain for someone to check,
assuming I'd podium'd with it.

I am determined to submit something faster (overall) than my current splits.

I tell you what, this combo is very humbling. I feel like a complete noob here and that bus stop is just killing me. Several close calls with big split improvements but just decided to call them all dirty as opposed to making it a pain for someone else to check. My current splits are also real close on the bus stop, so seriously thinking about yanking that one too. This might be the first week that I don't submit. Even I am about to give up. Really, really frustrated right now.

I think my final laptime is quite solid ATM.

The rest of the lap was honestly rubbishish, but, I freakin' nailed the bus stop.

Pro-Tip: if you hit the grass just right on one of the bus stop rumble strips, it'll spin your car to the right a bit for a better shot at the exit. Risk vs Reward.

Thanks but I know you and the staff are busy so I'll save you the time. I'll just keep trying to improve with a cleaner, faster lap. If it doesn't happen, I'll just yank the splits from the board or simply won't submit. Thanks again for your offer to help, but I'm sure you got more important things to do than to be checking my crap. 👍

I don't think I can take another lap of this combo. Everytime I do good on one sector, I go wide and crash in the next. The bus stop is just a pain to deal with, and I can't find any of the braking points. If I added my best splits together, I'd be 6 tenths quicker at the line, but it's difficult enough just to try to find one of them. I will not submit.

Are you missing your braking points or just can't find one for the bus stop? Positive handicap doesn't hurt you so why lose the time you put in Andrew

Hey Andrew, sounds like you and me both are getting very frustrated here. I would not be a very good ambassador of my NGU campaign if I gave up now and not submit, so I have commited myself to an all day session to try to crack this one. So come on with me and lets do this together. Don't give up and lets see what we can do and submit our hard work regardless of the outcome. Its 10:22am here right now.....don't plan on quitting till later tonight, an epic session for sure. My inner self just would allow me to give in to this. I'll see ya on the other side. Peace.

The main problem I'm having is that the banking accelerates my wheel heating up, so by the time I've warmed up, my wheel is already losing some FFB.

Have now been .3 faster in T4+5 than my current but just can't get close to my T1.

Just had my "magic" lap, .22 faster than my current with 27.8xx, 23.705, 13.476 splits...
...except it was red flagged through the bus-stop, despite still having 2 wheels on.
Also managed my first .7 S1 today, but botched S2. Will give it final shot tomorrow but I'm submitting now just in case I can't get another run. 👍


One last thing: does the full tyre have to be in contact to be considered clean? OR can it only be half say?

Could not find the zen like magic that I had yesterday. I lost about 2 tenths in turn 1 on this lap, but the rest of it is nearly perfect (for me).

Wow Chris, you absolutely know how to ruin the mood here, don't you. Even though I'm not as masterfully skilled as you are, I was just trying to help people through inspiration and just hoping to have a fun day in here with everyone then you come in here with that crap. I gotta say, I'm pretty appalled. I try to do something positive here and you just totally killed the mood (for me anyway) I was trying to set for the ones still trying. I'm glad your satisfied with your time and you can stop running early, doesn't mean everyone else is. Some of us are still struggling and trying to better their times. I'd like to think we have a high quality subset of the broader community here.

You only have to watch the interaction of our members/participants, and then compare them to the GT5 or Drift forums, for example, to understand what I mean.


I expect to see interactions like this one when I go into the aforementioned forums.

Its just a name I don't like being called, that's all. No problems.

Over 90 posts in two days, you're on a roll. Can't help but notice that blue ass avatar everywhere. Anyway, no need to respond, I don't need you upping your post count in my thread.
