New Splits:

T1: 45.067
T2: 34.479
T3: 29.043
T4: 51.027
T5: 39.284
T6: 28.184
T7: 51.277
T8: 35.138
T9: 30.726

A lot faster overall, but had a bad t8 and 9, where I lost around nine tenths in those to sectors. I tend to push really hard until I get to the carusell and then I get a little conservative, costing me a lot of time. I need to figure out how to push it to my limit for an entire lap.

Edit: New Splits
T1: 45.086
T2: 34.275
T3: 29.108
T4: 50.393
T5: 40.049
T6: 28.192
T7: 50.712
T8: 34.990
T9: 30.157

I have been seven tenths faster through the second sector but always make a stupid mistake.:ouch: I was up on the previous best by a second after T4 and then lost the whole second in T5 by completely missing a breaking point and locking the brakes:ouch:, but was able to put together my best second half of the lap by far. Really enjoying this and challenge of focusing for such a long period of time. Thanks to the admins for this combo.👍

Splits from my first session. Managed 3 full laps, but this was the only one that I didn't crash coming off the main straight. :ouch:

At least it was my fastest to that point. ;)

Right, with that abject failure out the way I think I'll go to sleep.

Right there with you. Spent an hour on it this afternoon and got as far as the Foxhole one time, and promptly stuffed my nose in the barrier.

The car feels OK so I must be attacking too hard. I did decently well here in the AMG special events so no reason I can't get at least one clean lap this week. Just one. Please?

 *prays to GT gods* :odd:

Nice to have you on board this week Steven!

I'll have to find some time this week as well, I just can't resist the Nordschleife.... my time probably won't be very fast as well as I only have some time on friday, but hey, it's for fun :)

Fairly new to the WRS as this is only my 3rd week. Just wondering if you guys had done many weekly combos on the Nordschleife before. GT4 and GT5P included.

Added another 2 laps

44.548
34.321
28.872
49.982
38.389
27.836
48.673
33.599
28.953

Ran this one for a couple of hours managing these split times:

43.710
33.433
28.453
49.425
38.263
27.842
48.533
32.913
28.772

No active steering, abs 1 bb 7/7. PB T1 43.608
You don't loose much time at all starting out on cold tires. Shift point red light. For the corner after T1 you should see minimum 217km/h If you time it right, I veer onto the grass to increase entry angle. Great combo!

Finding the first corner the hardest!

I'm new to the WRS and I got one question guys, two wheels on the grass are ok?
Or no wheels on the grass no matter what?

New splits:

43.796
33.552
28.405
49.530
38.163
27.700
48.118
32.891
28.700
-------

ABS 1
BB 8/9

Off to work now, laters!

You must keep 2 wheels on a part of the track (or vertically in line with) at all times. Most kerbs are a part of the track, so yes, 2 on the grass is fine. It is important to read what is track in the opening post though, as some parts of kerbs (the green bits at Suzuka for instance) are not track.

Fairly new to the WRS as this is only my 3rd week. Just wondering if you guys had done many weekly combos on the Nordschleife before. GT4 and GT5P included.

We didn't have Norschleife on GT5P. GT5P only had 6 tracks and their variations, and we still managed to run 107 WRS events with it.

GT4 had 184 WRS events, and this track would have been host to at least 10 of those. I found 10 doing a quick search of Nordschleife in the archive.

Found my PS3 :D.

Ran about an hour, awesome Kev!! Comfortable with the combo, from here on it's improving bit by bit. I find the cars suspension doesnt like the high g forces in the high speed corners, but that only makes it more fun. Dan and Zoky.... Just too fast . Looks like its going to be a great battle Ron!!

I can only see up to T4 on the board :nervous: so is there any way to make the text smaller so that all the colums are visable?

Ofcourse our dear internet explorer didn't render it properly like all other browsers do .... i've added a hack for IE, the page it now scrollable, although it's not very pretty...

I recommend using any other browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) if you want a perfect layout. Although I'll probably fix the layout issue in IE, it's not very high on the priority list.

Why?

Actually, I'm afraid I know why you posted that.... just hoping I'm wrong.

IE has been behind the game for a long time, I've been hearing good things about IE9 (and I will try it out), but it's still behind FF and Chrome in many depts. But feel free to throw around fanboy tags ;)

Right, some new splits, felt good, until I looked at my best combo splits and I'm down .6 on those at T9.

Using BB of 8/9. Has anyone faffed with torque distro? I've not even looked to see if we can fiddle with it.

Some parts of the lap are really fun in this car, the back section (I think sector 8/9) is brilliant.

Only managed 2 laps this evening so far...this was the 2nd one and first clean lap for about 2 hours 30 mins :yuck: - Pretty dreadful T1, I can pop under 45 seconds usually. Rest of the lap was ok - got more to gain, still don't know whether to be in 3rd or 4th a lot of the time in the 3rd quarter of the lap, so many 80-100mph turns, some tighter than others....very hard to remember which is which - will get there eventually....

I can't help but start using the photo mode round here - lots of good viewpoints - I'm no photographer....but I thought I'd share a few.

Click for big version!

Right, enough of all that, time for a bit more lapping!

I sure hope a lot of members show up for this one and don't shy away from the challenge. It's a difficult track to memorize but after you get the hang of it "WOW". There's nothing like knocking down you time by seconds rather then tenths.

Improved splits using 6/7 bb

43.830
33.413
28.442
49.107
38.226
27.661
48.440
32.799
28.495

Little bits here and there can be slashed off, but I had a solid run home after T9.
