Glad I am not the only one struggling with the double right, I actually find it faster to keep a tight line around it. The next corner after that is also causing me problems, just ran a time 2 tenths faster at the line but lost 2 tenths in T2. Anybody else managing to get through second to last corner flat out?

It all stems from the corner just after T2, you need to power on a bit later or apex a bit later so you can start turning right quickly (without cutting the concrete of course) and be done turning so you can then start turning left (2nd last corner) without being too far over on the left side of the track. I find short shifting to 5th can help with that too, but to answer your question, Yes. I do take it flat but its all linked 2 corners back on weather or not your successful. By getting on the power a bit later after T2, it may seem like your loosing time but because of the nicer and smoother lines you can take you will be able to get a higher top speed and make up for the tenth you "think" you lost.

Hopefully all that makes sense

Thanks for the quick response Kev. Its all tarmac there. I was just a little concerned that the white line might have been classed as the edge of the track, thats all

To give an example, Phil posted this:

Sorry if this confused you, it was ment as a funny hence the quip (re-Leaf) the picture was part colour part black and white so that the Sun-Beams would pick up the leaf's and highlight them.

These two are taken from my fastest lap to date, almost the same shot plus the concrete section later in the lap.-------------The paint work is Black Cherry with white wheels.

As you can see back to my normal standard what you would expect from the :grumpy: old git two wheel on the black stuff.

Phillip.

My right rear wheel never came this close to the grass. I was just concerned that my wheel went over the white line in the 1st place.

Yeah, that's clean.

Nothing to worry about on the white boundary lines this week.

The main reasons I made sure there were only the 2 track surfaces are the concrete sections I showed in the pic of the first post, and then in order to avoid the whole "Grasscrete" debate. If you don't know what that is, don't ask. :sly:

And there was me trying this whole time to stay inside those white lines when will I ever learn

Hopefully now I should be able to go faster

Im finding it really tough to do the double right hander... That corner just eats tenths... can do 22.7 - 8's till the cows come home but very rarely can I do that corner properly, its got some mid corner speed thats just very hard to maintain with the power understeer you get with this car. Sadly oversteer doesnt fix the understeer as the front wheels just understeer and slide off the track with the rear as soon as you power on anyway , loosing you all your momentum and thus time with it.

I find I have to lift to about 95% throttle as I hit the apex of that double right and then the same again as I approach the rumbles up the hill on the right. Once I hit the white line next to those rumbles I quickly center the wheel and floor it at the same time and I generally hit that line pretty well.

It's been raining here in the Northeast for two weeks with another week of rain in the forecast. That slows down my work schedule, :grumpy: which increases my WRS time! :sly:

Playing around with tunes from Plato and RKM and Kevin gives me these splits:
T1: 23.018
T2: 29.360

Posting from my phone hope it works, first splits:

T1: 22.685
T2: 29.053

Good T1 not perfect, rest needs some work :).

Should the Civic have 277hp after RM/ Parts installed and a Oil change? Mines at 274 I think. And some of you are talking about 280+ :nervous:

I think we need to introduce a new rule for you stupidly fast guys.
EDK if you are reading this how about forcing these guys to run stock tunes or a lesser tire

Fantastic splits as usual Zoky, great job 👍

That's me done for this week. There was a glimmer of hope there for a second but it seems the secret of how to go fast in a FWD continues to elude me...

Have fun chaps and good luck

I'm putting much more mileage in this week WRS... and experimenting a bit with tuning for the first time is a surprise discover how much labor limae could be done with a little of patience.

very good combo ;)

I just recall my PP is 494. Top notch Zoky!

Less than .1 between 6th and 10th place, it's sure getting stuffy in here

I am not the best in FWD cars either, but I don't seem to be doing to badly at this combo. I'm sure judging by your recent performances you have to give this another crack, the week has just begun and I am pretty sure by the end of it you will be there or there abouts by the end of the week. Chin up and good luck 👍

No Chris don't leave. I like your tune, but usually you make changes to your tune as the week progresses. You can't be that bad either. The splits will improve over the week.;)

Don't give up so quickly.

Ran a few miles after work...............

T1: 25.165
T2: 30.366

ABS - 5
B. BIAS - 6/7
FFB: 1
TRANS: 149

277HP/PP 490

That's me done for this week.

Every "tune" week i use your´s because it´s the one that fits best my (poor) driving style so don´t you dare leave us.

Aside that, you always start slow but end up there with the best (remember rally week) so don´t give up just yet :sly:

Dang, Chris, your settings were my base, and then I pick here and there.

You can't leave! It's unanimous!!!👍
