Just put in a nice 2 hours and only improved my time at the line by .05
I can see another .1 in T1 and another .1 in T3 - Finish. Technically another half a tenth from T2 - T3 but the perfect lap is near on impossible. Really hope i can find another .15 or so by the end of the week. Will go watch some Smallville and try again later tonight .

Good news is I can hit these good sectors more consistently and often, its just a matter of time before I string them together in a lap.. A top 5 maybe just in reach here if I can pull off a miracle, but no amount of prayer will allow me to catch the top 3  Those guys really have the dilithium crystals finely tuned!!

Haven't been driving this since thursday due to work and some other things...:grumpy:....so I'll probably run this intense before the deadline!👍

You know, after looking at the splits for this week and the results for last week, I wonder if some people even spent 1 hour on the qualifier....

I hate the ring! I spent about 3 hours on each part of the qualifier. Hate the car and hate the ring. I just can't string together a clean lap at that place! :(

Had another run tonight. Managed to get some 15.8's in T1 but just can't hold the rest of the lap together. :grumpy:

If I could string all my best splits together I would improve my lap by 0.5, but I think 0.2 is a more realistic target for me. One more quick go tomorrow before submitting.

Cheers Shaun.

Day 2

T1: 16.776
T2: 25.890
T3: 21.192

I wish I could tune the suspension a bit...
How are you able to get below 16sec in the first sector???
Hope you don't grass hop earlier...

Instantly running better laps!!

Finally got these splits, was going really good till I choked a bit at the end of the back straight!! damn!, my previous best T2 - T3 was 20.688. So lost .15 or so which was a shame, If i didnt do that It would probably be my submission lap! Oh well, keep at it :dopey:

T1 - T2 still remains somewhat of a mystery.. No idea how Rudi did that 24.7 :boggled:

Great starting session Chris! 👍

Any tips on how to run the first section people? Specifically the entry into the tunnel just before T1. Gears, braking, speeds?

Also, what sort of apex speed do you have in the very first turn of the lap? It's a fifth gear turn I gather? Do you brake or just shift down and engine brake into it?

No idea of apex speed without looking at my replay (can't right now) but I'm blipping the brake pedal, as I turn in from the far right of the home straight, changing down from 6->5, early apex taking alot of curb, slightly trailing throttle then smoothly steer right and straighten up for the next apex on the right, full throttle from there through turn 3 and up the hill.

Before the T1 tunnel, I'm braking quite early while starting to turn in, probably 90% braking force, keeping tight to the curb on the left, changing down to 3rd for the apex... quickly back on the power, pretty much full throttle from the apex down to the rumble strip for the sharp right hander.

No idea if that's helpful or not... 💡

Last update before bed.

Last sector was not bad, but not my best either.. Hopefully another .1 in it yet, will chase that tomorrow 👍

Some early splits, only had half hour on this and don't no how long I'll get this week so it doesn't look good for me!

Well an hour later and some new splits, shame I did this with the cat sat on me whilst I drove!

T1 16.092
T2 25.596
T3 21.329

Update:

T1: 16.385
T2: 26.520
T3: 21.914

Think I might be able to squeeze some more............

T1 15.836
T2 25.162
T3 21.184

There is another 1/2 second in there I have seen it just to lose it before the finish line. Just need to put all the good sectors together.

Fair game. All hard surfaces are track, including red and white rumbles. Just avoid the walls. :mischievous:

Does this mean the hard surface inside the rumble strip on second to last turn is ok? Just ran a great lap, thought I screwed it up on the second to last turn, but maybe I'm ok?

Well, I got this completely clean:
T1: 16.315
T2: 26.300
T3: 22.173

There's lots more time in there, mostly in section 2 and 3.

Managed a couple of hours today and it was a mix of fun and frustration.

I saw some really low sector times, but consistently mucked things up in the long sweeping downhill right hander. Eventually had to settle for these, but am sure that I lost at least half a second in the last couple of sectors. Oh well.

I also got painfully close to the wall in the final straight, but photomode seemed to show a tiny bit of daylight, but it really was tiny...

T1: 15.600
T2: 25.477
T3: 21.306

Update...this one's not my cup of tea, but I do think I can find more time.

T1: 16.402
T2: 26.064
T3: 21.706
