I'm still going to be stuck with my DS3 for a bit longer.
I called my buddy to see if he shipped out the G27 and he told me that he decided to not get rid of it.
Now I'm waiting to get my money back and when that happens I will be ordering a wheel.

What I like about this WRS:
*If you mess up early or fell behind your ghost, there was so little in it that you often had a chance to still post a best lap
*If you invalidated, it was only a minute to get back onto the next lap

Really enjoyed this combo. Maybe that's due to not having to deal with any tuning. Will most likely submit this lap tomorrow.

Sorry Gravitron but I'm not deserving of that mention . I got fed up with my DS3 and plugged in my DFGT Friday (for the first time in about a year) to see the difference and it's night and day for me.

IMO the wheel has an unfair advantage over DS3 this week. My first splits with the DS3 were 27.290, 19.716 and what I thought was a good T3 initially. I've managed faster T1 and T2 that rival the DFGT, but in the last sector I found a line that I can only do with the wheel that easily took off .25 off my best DS3 T3. Even though I only improved about .4 in T1 and T2 combined with the DFGT, my final time with the wheel compared to my previous best run is .85 seconds faster.

The other advantage I noticed was consistency. After a few laps I was able to run nearly identical times, lap after lap, and all of them were easily faster than my best DS3 lap.

It might be worth noting I use the D-Pad to steer and X,Square for gas and brake. Because of this I have a hard time setting up the RA menu also . Maybe others using the analog sticks have a better chance of competing with the wheel users.

Ah, gotcha! Yes I noticed that as well. Maybe even a few more as the new drivers realise that their qualifying submissions have been processed and that they are clear to compete and post splits.

Gonna hit this some more tonight, as I hate having a T1 in the 27's. Figured out how to go faster through T2 and T2 last night though, so it's a matter of TIME!

I was trying that too but it wasn't working for me so well. It did turn the car a bit better but when I floored the throttle again it had immediate understeer 👎

Ditto - would like a tenth in T3 to complement my current split to T2. I've been faster to T2 five or six times but always clattered the barriers in the final corner or been too cautious. I think my current lap will give me a top 6 in D2, so looking for a shade more for solid podium contention.

pretty easy really, right before you get to the corner..... close your eyes, brake heavily for just a second while cutting the wheel hard to the left, then stomp the accelerator making sure you stay about a foot away from the wall.... if your not scared your going to hit the wall you aren't pushing the car hard enough..... thats the way I take the corner.... well, except I do keep my eyes open even though it really doesn't matter...

New wheel splits. The fastest and best I have ever taken T1 or T2 with my wheel. 1 tenth lower at the line.

BTW I have taken T2 .002 faster with my DS3. hahahaha

Not sure why the bowdown since i'm not in the .5xx's but i'll take it Grav

I was trying that in turn 2 as well, but just getting the same results as without it, so more work for the same result. But in T2 I was stuck in the 19.8xx/19.9xx region. Used the HB and instantly dropped to the .6xx/.7xx. Not the fastest T2 but looks nice

Glad I took the effort to wire up the middle two buttons on the G27 now

Morning after edit: Looking for a top 5 finish and I'm not sure I've done enough with this one. It's my fastest T2 (give or take 4 thousandths) and my fastest T3, but the leaderboard is so tight around here that I'm not sure I can afford to give away the 6 hundredths in T1. Seems I have been moving a similar gap around the sectors all week Good luck to those still runnning!!

Found some time for a second session and improved a little in T1 but no gain so far in T2 (well, 5 thousands).
