Cool challenge! Those downhill right handers are killing me. Apex? What's that? :dopey: Seem to need a mind-set that I am turning in super early as if I was going to drift before the corner, but then kinda straight line through them. Feels really weird ..... That's probably the slow way to do it lol :D

Haven't settled on best brake balance for me yet. Above was run on 7/4, but it may be too much...

Still on BB 5/5 - can't decide what's best so sticking with this for now. Also switched off Active Steering...

59.182

This is what days off are for... but unfortunately, now I have to go and paint our bedroom. :P

Struggling to get a good T1 , can't figure where I'm loosing the time yet. Using ABS 9 BB 8/4. Don't forget to watch you're replays at least once in the cockpit view. Looks cool with the wooden wheel and rain pelting down on the windscreen 👍

59.594

First hour...

59.558

Tricky little monkey this week, and I suspect that the order at T1 will not bear much resemblance to the results. Plenty of time to be won and lost in the last two turns...

Hmm, after a few tries :sly:

After a few more tries:

59.255

ABS 10, BB 9-10

This is actually my second attempt at this doll of a combo, but first post. Some amazing efforts by most. Wow.

T1: 1'00.001

I broke that one minute barrier only once, with a miss-shift and all. So more to come the next few days. 👍

Had a 59.3xx but blew the flugplatz bit, which is kinda crucial for the time :)

Still, getting the hang of things

59.491

... with a pretty sweet run to the line and nice gain of nearly 6 tenths! :dopey:

Wow, Slammed it into the pitwall on the first try. I hope to find the time to get some runs in.

Welcome to GTPlanet. First off, please have another look at the AUP you agreed to follow when signing up for an account. Be sure to use appropriate punctuation and grammar, such as a capital for the pronoun I and a period (or in the case of your question above, a question mark) at the end of sentences.

The qualifier can be found here -

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153734

That's where you need to start. Please review the instructions, and be sure to give it an appropriate effort.

T1; 1.01.693

I had a quick few laps there. I made a few mistakes in the 1st sector including a huge slide out of the third corner which I just about held onto.

I had a good second sector so I'm happy with my time overall. I'll have to try again tomorrow!

After a few more tries:

59.255

ABS 10, BB 9-10

You made my day, I wasn't the only one bouncing off the rails. :scared:

Now if I could only be as fast as you when staying on the road.:)

New splits after another hour of running...

59.484

ABS at 1, BB at 2/0 and a PB in the second sector. There may be another 2 or 3 tenths in it for me, but not much more

PS. Wet or dry, I hate turn 1. It was the bane of my life in week 14, and is keeping my reset button occupied this week as well :ill:

Edit: another 30 minute run and BANG. Very happy with this run, so happy in fact that I might be submitting!

59.113

Hey Dearborn, welcome to GTPlanet. I'm rather new here also, but know the Dearborn area well.

Send me a PM, maybe see you in the area sometime.

Had another session, managed to knock a bit of time off on both sectors.

T1: 58.594

Starting to get to my limit now, a few more tenths in it for me overall I think. 👍

Running Active Steering on Strong now, which I still think might be slower overall but it helps me a lot through Turn 3 (where I restart 80% of my laps....)

Brake balance at 5/5 still.

For what it's worth I ran ABS 10 and BB 0/0, first tried AS strong, then improved with AS off, just like always.
I'll have to test and see what stops the quickest here, very new to wet tracks myself, only ran these twice each before.

First split for this week.

59.868

I like this place, no matter what the conditions may be.

I had a go at this yesterday and I'm way off the pace at the moment, I'm just not used to driving in the rain.:scared: I think the following was the split time on my best lap to date.:)

59.862

Finally found my comfortable pace in T1. Think there's another 0.2 in T1 and lost 0.2 in T2 nearly running off the track but jumped on the HB to save the lap, but was waaayy out wide on the last turn :ouch: Need to clean that up.

58.863

T1: 58.202
Lost a tenth in T1.

T1: 58.037

Until the aliens try this combo.:scared:

My settings:
AS: off
TCS: 0
ABS: 1
BB: 5/5

Nothing unusual with the settings. I use 2nd gear for 1 corner, 4th gear for 2 corners and 3rd gear for the rest. You figure out which corners.;)

Small improvement at T1 and even smaller at the finish line after another hour, but getting the hang of it though. :)

0'59.750

I'm using all aids off, except ABS at 10. (BB at default)

New split:
T1: 58.061
Lost a tiny bit in T1, but made up for it in the last sector.
