Anybody got an opinion on tarmac in t4? the OP does say that tarmac is track and its next to the track rather than over the rumble. i am somewhat certain that the response will be that its dirty if you put 3 wheels on there but id still like a ruling or some comments before I bin the lap

The chicane is eating my brain one neuron at a time....

This ^^

A fair bit of luck is needed to get a good T1 and maintain good pace for the rest of the lap, I have an old ghost that is not even a tenth slower than my fastest lap that I can get 2-3 car lengths ahead of, but can never complete the lap. It always passes me in T3 :banghead:

Can I borrow some luck off someone please :sly:

Is the grey stuff at the end of the lap coming out of the tunnel track? its arguably rumble strip....or tarmac? OP says tarmac and rumble is track!? am confused cos that means it could be track on the chicane too. Ill be gutted and i think im going to be gutted cos im clutching at straws after demolishing my best and ran about an inch wide in t4....

I think that is concrete and as the concrete in the first chicane doesn't count I asume the concrete you mention isn't clean either.

Happier with this lap :)

T1 23.333
T2 28.780

There is still a little bit of time I can take off, but getting it is going to be difficult. Been faster in all these sectors, but putting it together in the same lap is near impossible :D

23.650
28.964

Shocking. I give up! This lap had an awesome t3 but im throwing away so much in sector one..... The lap that never was has been confined to the recycle bin. :-/

I read your question millross about grey part and it made me realize I had three wheels on that surface, exactly at the same spot as you... I will have to work hard to beat the lap or to cancel my submission 👎

Just threw away the magic lap - beat my previous best by 0.3 and then discovered 3 wheels off at the damned chicane. That chicane is the work of the devil.... and I've just about had it with wall banging too, chaps.

With that concrete your on about at the exit of the last tunnel, are you allowed 2 tires over the white line seeing as though there is a little bit of track surface there? :scared:

I think if it's tarmac there's no problem.
But then I am not an admin...

/\ same goes for my answer on millross' question

Tarmac and Red and White Rumble Strips are Track. This includes the yellow painted tarmac in the right hand turns leading to and out of the back straight.

No Other Surfaces are Track.

This week it's just impossible for me to string sectors together that I'm reasonably happy with. There's just too much room for error. You're up by a couple of tenths half way through and still have ample chance of throwing it away...and I am!

T1: 23.784
T2: 29.130

The car is deceptively narrow, and when you hop over the chicane you feel like you've cut it fine but should be ok, so you go ahead and complete the lap, using up adrenaline and energy and also, having to restart due to straightening at the finish line, happened to me twice. Might have another crack tonight or tomorrow, but I've submitted a weakish banker lap regardless.

Well I've submitted with the splits on the board. I should have been able to beat my time but couldn't, I was even .2 up on one lap but lost it all in the last sector.:ouch:

Time submitted

Not sure if I will get time for another run before the deadline, I have left a bit of time out there but it's a difficult week especially with the chicane to run a faster lap.

Good luck everybody 👍

@ Millross

Regarding T4, would this rule apply?

2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times

I am sure the concrete is in line with the following rumble strip, I could be wrong, but would this rule apply?

Don't worry though, T3 is a bunch of ar$e :irked:

 👍 Nice T1 though Jon :)

but I've submitted a weakish banker lap regardless.

Yeah but Dan... what you call weak is probably still better than my "magic lap". :sly: This is a strange combo though - never been ahead of my ghost by so much and still thrown it away.... and never had so many dirty laps. Much worse in reverse than the normal Trial Mountain.

And both your laps are still way ahead of any of mine, so it's all just relative.

I've had a very lucky T1 on one of my first laps, but plenty to improve on T3 and especially T4. Still, for the past four days this was still my best lap and therefore my ghost, so I played catch-up lap by lap... got really annoyed seeing all these big errors later in the lap right in front of me but still not able to catch up to it.

Took me 63 laps yesterday to actually get a better lap (which turned out to be dirty in replay).

Yeah, I'm annoyed now...

Sorry for the delay in getting week 28 posted, guys. Had guests for the weekend and did not end up with any spare time. I do have a nice combo picked out, and I'll be putting it up tonight, by around 8 pm my local time (GMT -8).

How DARE you have a real life!!!

How's this for close?

Would this be a scenario that's considered too close for comfort, submission wise? It's definitely the closest I've ever been.
I've looked at several shots, and this is the closest shot (in terms of being dirty).

While that appears to be clean by a whisker, I would not submit that. Too close for comfort, and can ultimately create a reputation you don't want.

Splits from earlier

T1 23.394
T2 28.801

So frustrating, a slower T1 and T2 but a little quicker at the line. Why is it so hard to put it all together :banghead:

May have to try once more tonight, and see if my lucks in to string it all together.

Na mate, my run home wasn't crisp and it was from a rather weak, probably 10th best effort at T2, we'll see:tup:

Thanks Kevin,
I don't think I'll actually won't submit that lap. It is my best, but only by .100 or so.
Plus, I had to watch the replay about 10 times, and take several pics, so I suppose that's not a task I would want to pass on to someone reviewing my lap should it require a replay.

Gonna give it one more shot today. Good luck everyone 👍

Didn't have much time this week and only did 2 very quick sessions yesterday. My time it not near my limit, but considering the (lack of) time I put in i'm still quite happy and decided to submit:

23.784
28.995

Good luck everybody 👍

crap splits but some how faster overall.. thought I was getting somewhere with T1 seems like i`m now going backwards.. I cant work T1 out, I cant take the pain anymore
23.961
29.117

Submitted my time with the splits on the board.

It will be interesting to see how we all did later today. Hope I did good and hope I didnt do to bad. lol

Ran some final laps, and tied my best lap exactly :yuck:.
Time to submit I suppose...

T1: 23.411
T2: 28.962

Best T1 for me all week, but lost ~.100 in T2.
Think I have a good 3,4, but we'll see :nervous:
