If you use the green part of the last curve, going very close to the wall on the left, you'll gain exit speed there and as result when you start a lap your starting speed will be faster.
Now I really don't understand it anymore. Can we use the green run-off area or not?Well, regardless, this is going to be a very difficult week to stay of the walls, so I'm trying to keep the regulations as simple and straightforward as possible.
Unfortunately, even if that is the case, unless we used full replays in lieu of or in addition to best lap replays, we would not have a means of identifying whether participants exploited this.

All hard surfaces are track. Plus, you only have to have 2 wheels on track, so the track surface part of the photo would be fine.
Thanks Vaxen, his post confused me.Kevin's ruling on this has already been posted:
It's legal. Even if it wasn't legal, the use of the green area in the picture shown would be ok, since only two wheels are on the green.
The only restriction this week is against a wall touch.
Avoid touching walls, and you'll be clean.

The first post is a bit confusing though since it clearly says:
"Runoff areas are not part of the track"
Maybe it should be updated?
OK, I took that out of the "Standard, Clean OLR Rules" in the first thread this week. In reality, those are the general rules that apply to any event, but as stewards, we have the right to over ride them with event specific rules.

My tyres kept locking up, I found ABS=2 was a bit better. But I'm not sure if that improved my time or I just got a bit better.
Ok, my second 10 lap run. Looking at the leaderboard the DS3 isn't doing too bad.
