Uping the ABS actually makes that big of a difference? I have always been running with ABS 1 since GT5P :(

I only did it because my tyres keep locking up which is a pain for some corners.

But then using a wheel means you can use 95% braking which cures it. Not so easy on a DS3.

Really too bad we still don't have what we need to avoid playing those combos in Arcade mode :grumpy:

Might give it a try but as last week, I highly doubt I'll find it fun enough to really compete.

 to race admins for their great job.

I think I may have peaked too soon!
I now just watch my ghost drive off....

T1: 24.085
T2: 21.661

A whole load of green laning in T3.... :)

Slightly better:
T1: 23.874
T2: 21.406

First splits
T1: 23.999
T2: 21.567

I dont know how many good laps I lost to a touch on the magnet-o-walls :ouch:

Here are my 1st lot of splits.

T1: 23.930
T2: 21.588

Everytime I set myself a goal time, I always seem to beat it :) Looks like I need to aim higher

Splits continue to improve as well as my final lap time. There is at least another .3 - .5 I can shave off, I hope :sly:

T1: 23.887
T2: 21.554

Not going massively faster but enjoying it a lot more on my second attempt. 👍
The wall magnets don't seem to be nearly as strong today. This has nothing to do with my attempts to control an impatient right foot...

T1: 23.946
T2: 21.586

If you use the green part of the last curve, going very close to the wall on the left, you'll gain exit speed there and as result when you start a lap your starting speed will be faster.

Unfortunately, even if that is the case, unless we used full replays in lieu of or in addition to best lap replays, we would not have a means of identifying whether participants exploited this.

Sorry Kev, but does this mean that the above tactic is forbidden. I get the car up between 217-220km hitting the start/finish line without this exploit.
Just some confirmation on this would be great.

It's allowed.

I was pointing out that if I was to outlaw the use of this tactic, we would not have a way of verifying whether or not is was used.

By simply allowing people to use this area of the track, I'm taking one more complication out of the equation.

New splits

T1: 24.543
T2: 22.384

0.126 slower than my previous, but my lap time has gone down by 1.538. Technically i should be able to shave off an another 0.430. We'll see how that goes for me.

These tactics are frowned upon in the WRS and using these exploits is not within the spirit of the WRS. It is not forbidden since it's close to impossible to detect on replays, but you'll earn more respect if you simply refrain from using these exploits. I don't use it, along with the majority of the drivers here 👍

My first splits:
T1: 23.957
T2: 21.269

Sweet combo you're offering us, Kev!

After quite a few better but dirty laps ive settled with this for the day.

T1: 24.511
T2: 21.737

This combo is going to tip me over the edge.
If I run a perfect 1st sector, i clip the wall in the last 2.
TYPICALLY if i stuff up the 1st sector but continue on even with a dirty lap, my second sector time comes out faster . . . . . AH THE PAIN!!!
Good combo none the less, enjoying it!!!
- still no wheel!

Cheers All !!!

For some reason i'm having success with ABS 10 and brake bias 10/10 lol.

I tried it with like that but with brake bias 7/10. Ended up shaving a quite some time off my splits. Thanks.
