Haven't touched GT in about 3 weeks, see what i can pull out of the bag this evening... just been hooked to Cod big time.
T1: 24.181
T2: 22.005
As much of a shocking improvement at the line..
T1: 24.138
T2: 21.966
Submitting this for now.
Am i being thick or something but is it your own car? because i see people are changing the diff etc. or is it just pick the car from arcade mode and you can change diff and that somewere?
Thanks, but no:Did you edit your post in the hope that some of us wouldn't see your improvement
Nice splits Wes:tup:
Thanks, but no:
T1: 24.148
T2: 21.916
Yes, I'm using SEN: 450 now.You still using a low SENS setting like me?
Now your just showing off Be on shortly so will have to see what I can do
Submitted with my DS3 best splits (on the board). Up to you now, Wilco. I'll admit my T3 is about a tenth slower than my fastest.
Great combo, Kevin. 👍
Submitted provisionally with current splits. Had a quick half hour on this yesterday but failed to improve on the lap, although I did some pretty decent sectors. Skyrim taking up too much time now.... I would like to have another hour tonight before the deadline but dragging myself away from TES V is hard (been an Elderscrolls fan for many years)...
Plato - re Fanatec wheel and pedals. My settings for the wheel are:
Sensitivity 810
FFB 90 (GT5 in-game FFB setting 4)
Shock 100
Drift 5
ABS 70
Linearity 0
Dead-zone 0
Spring -3
Damper -3
I like a high sensitivity setting for maximum smoothness. More steering angle is required obviously but its a good trade off against stability in the high speed stuff and with the less grippy compunds. I like high FFB but the in game settings don't need to be high with the strength of that Mabuchi FFB motor.
The drift, spring and damper settings allow quick wheel corrections without losing sensitivity and feel. I have never had a problem with wheel wobble but I have heard people mention it with some Fanatec wheels. Maybe I'm just lucky but its super smooth for me with these settings.
I have the load cell on the brake set to maximum pressure, and ABS set to 70 (% of braking force required to activate the brake pedal vibration to simulate ABS kicking in). I presume the CSR pedals are qute similar to the Clubsports in feel - the brake pedal is progressive in response and resistance. I have my load cell set to maximum so I know when I'm really stomping on it.
With ABS vibration at 70, avoiding lock up is easy with anything above comfort tyres and trail braking becomes much more controllable as you can feel the resistance in the pedal decrease as the ABS vibration stops. Don't worry about damaging the pedals, just get stuck in. If the CSRs are anything like the Clubports, they are a serious piece of hardware.
If I could change anything I would maybe have a stronger brake pedal spring but that would reduce the sensitivity during trail braking so I'm pretty happy with the stock setup. Best pedals I've ever used by far.
Tips? Well you could try driving slower - the wheel is much easier to handle if you go slower and you're less likely to crash.
Nice splits everyone, particularly jack who seems to be right on my bumper leading D2. Slow down mate, its dangerous. 👍 (Great T2 Simon lad 👍) You too Wes 👍 - calm down
Anyway, here's hoping for a faster lap this evening if I manage to stop hacking and slashing and setting people on fire.
Thanks for all the great info Chris:tup:
I may try a higher SENS setting and see how I get on, your ABS setting looks worth a shot also so will give that a go. As for getting stuck in with the brake pedal that's what has been worrying me, I apply a fair bit of pressure and have noticed my brake is not as stiff as it was when I first started using them, is this just down to braking them in and therefore nothing to worry about?
Sorry to be off topic but if one day I decided I wanted the CSP's can you basically send them back and pay the extra for the upgrade?
On my way back on now, I seem to be slipping down the leaderboards so could do with an improvement, not holding my breath though (damn kink)
The drop in resistance is natural, you're just working the pedals in.
You should've gotten the CSP in the first place.
ABS function is great, basically you always have the idea of how much pressure you're applying, makes a huge difference - I don't think I'd use load cell without it.
As for the upgrade - you should ask Thomas who's on .
It seems Fetchy is taking nap, not responding to my submission.
Yeah, I had to kick it manually this morning and will again now. I posted the issue in the LB thread for Marjin to review.....
Great fight this week 👍
Even if i didn´t run this week (cause of my callus ) been checking the splits and expecting a great "finale".
Jack, dominating D2 are we ??
To all
