Have done some more (many) laps in this combo... The track doesn't seem to like me going in this car...

New times:
T1: 24.562
T2: 22.604

Am anxious about my OT compared to others, as I'm not satisfied with my own line thru T3.. :nervous:

Anyone that has Fanatec elite or CSP pedals able to give me any help?

Having trouble adapting to the pedals as I feel I am having to apply a lot of pressure to get the brakes to respond. On the wheel I am running 90 for ABS and have the dial on the pedals set to 9. To get better braking response whats the best way to set up? Seems weird saying I am having troubles adapting to new pedals, were any of you guys the same?

I'm throwing in the towel on this one :(
Kissed the 'wall of average' too many times...

Just changed the torque and finally got a 23.9 in the first sector but a bad sector 2 lost me the lap so will keep at it :) hopefully nail the perfect lap soon :)!

I don't know Plato, I basically used ABS 0 the day I got the pedals. I changed to ABS 1 for the previous combo (and this one) and I obviously had to use more pressure. But I adapted pretty quickly to that and I only got to nail trail braking now. I set the ABS setting on the wheel to off whenever I use ABS in-game; when I don't use ABS in-game I use something like ABS 70 on the wheel.

I don't really know what you mean with the dial on the pedals. I guess I use stock settings. I would just stick to it and see if you improve your times and consistency.

Yes, me.
Worst thing I've done was forgetting that I have a load cell so I applied about 20% of braking (instead of 100%) in the hairpin on Eiger - in an endurance race.
Load cell takes some serious time to get used to, but when you do get used to it it's gonna save you loads of time.
I have my ABS on 85 and dial set to my personal preference.
You just got to get used to just stomp it.

Thanks Wes:tup:

I have been playing with the set up since I have had it to find what best works for me, I have not quite settled with wheel settings either but nearly there. As for the pedals they are certainly harder to adapt to and find the right set up. Turning ABS off like you have when using ABS 1 in game might be the way to go, will give it a go tonight and see how I get on.

As for the dial I was on about, it's the load cell brake dial you can adjust on the brake pedal. I take it you have the CSP's which would have the dial but the difference being you're dial is not numbered from 1-10 (correct me if i'm wrong). In other words my setting of 9 would be the same as you turning your dial 3 quarters to the right:tup:

@ Energizerrr

Yeah I noticed you have to apply a lot of pressure, just worried about wearing out the pedal I suppose and being to soft with them

Did someone submit their time already? Didn't get a PM yet and it's been a while since I've sent it.

Setup change did all for me.... I think I'm done... too

T1: 24.185
T2: 22.071

Torque: 50/50
BB:7/4
ABS 1

Yes, I submitted my time yesterday and got a response soon after.

Weird, it's been 2 hours, don't know if I have to PM again.

Edit: nevermind, got the PM minutes after posting this :D

Edit 2: thanks Joost, saw your reply 2 seconds after my edit

Yes, the splits (and pm's) are not fetched automatically, so I have to run them manually throughout the day. Everything is processed as normal, but just later.

I've asked Jordan to take a look at the server (as I can't do this myself) so it should be fixed soon.

Nice opener there too Wes 👍 Oh and nice win in 3D3 on Wednesday - you'd have well kicked my butt :P
Thanks and thanks Chris.👍

I didn't get any seat time this weekend apart from 1 hour this evening:
T1: 24.177
T2: 22.007

Slow chicane...
Thanks Wes:tup:

I'm not settled with mine either. Your super low steering sensivity gave me the idea to turn it lower as well and I think I'm slightly quicker now.
I'm about 3 tenths slower a lap with ABS off. Probably because I haven't used it much before I got my CSP's though. You could give it a try, I use ABS in the WRS for now; online I turn it off.

Thanks for the explanation, I know what you're talking about now. I'm not sure what it does when I adjust it though.:dopey:
Probably don't need to anyway.

24.555
22.226

Seems T1 is now my downfall, but really not sure where I'm losing it there. Will have one more try later tonight before submitting.

24.282
21.876

I keep doing 24.1 T1's. Except when I am doing good T2's :banghead:

This T2 even had too much smoke in the sharp left 💡

I had thought that a higher rear torque split would help turn the car faster, but it certainly doesn't feel like it's working.

Completely agree, and finding it rather odd.

Anyone noticing amazing D1 turnout?
EDK - you need to make more events which require no tuning, since obviously tuning scares people off (especially D1ers). haha :)

Did some searching - this week has the highest D1 turnout in the past 7 weeks (since the week 32 which again used an Arcade Mode car).

T1: 24.156
T2: 21.964

How I wish I could get my 23.9 T1 time in there.... Had it twice now other than that constant 24.0's and .1's... This chicane is rather annoying but addictive lol. I know I can go a tenth faster in T2.. added with my T1 Fastest I'll be happy then...

Also had a go on pad and matched it lol. 24.0's on the pad with 22'0s T2.

Might be done here, although I know there's another tenth.

24.254
22.234

OK, for sure stopping here, 0.03 better at the line.

24.225

Arcade mode always brings better turnout.

The biggest problem is that the number of "Arcade Only" cars is limited, and I've already cycled a very high percentage of them.

Here are my last splits.

24.461
22.299

Submitting now, good luck to all in the results.

I feel I could easily explain the amount of D1 particapation each week but its to much work and I dont want to try for that reason.:)

Submitted, I would not have for a qualifier, since I was still improving (did 1.0xx faster after T2 and best T1 till now while hitting a wall that slowed me down) but have to stop somewhere.

Seems reasonable result in the end, but a bit unreasonable effort.

This is all very frustrating. I can do 24.1 T1s whenever I want and with several different lines but I can go though T2 in exactly the same fashion and with identical speeds through the kink and it can differ with 3-4 tenths. Evens so I have no clue whatsoever how you are doing 21.8-21.9 T2s. It just seems to defy physics.

I had another go at this last night and failed miserably :ouch: I managed a couple of 21.8s in T2 sometimes with a very good T1 but would bottle it in the last turn :grumpy:

I did notice for a good T2 you need to be holding over 100mph through the kink, (not as easy as it sounds) with this sort of speed through there which seems to be 1 in a million attempts I was hitting mid to low .8s. Good luck nailing that lap, you need luck as well as skill to get through the kink cleanly at high speeds:tup:

Edit: A very tight week, be interesting to see the results

No time for this event really. Only managed 50 or 60 laps, but am submitting with the following...

24.277
22.228

OK-ish T3, but probably left .25 to .3 on the track. Who knows how long it would have taken to string it all together though  Managed a high .1 in T1 once, and I think this is my best T2. Have been a tenth faster through T3 as well. At least I'm now almost competitive!

Good luck everyone still running into the wall at the kink!

Well after work I'm going to put in another couple of hours I know I can get that perfect lap with a bit of luck!

Just to let you know the speed im doing through the kink, on the second part where it dints in the maximum speed I've hit there is 104mph, and I know 105 is possible and across the line im hitting 133 (134 on prep laps). Although I have to say this TT has made me learn more about gearing and not always having to run to the limiter :)!

Just to add to the Div1 attendance I only like doing TT's where the cars dont require setup so thats why I kind of only do these sorts of ones :P.

I checked my replay and became afraid that I might be hitting some invisible walls, outset from the visible barriers.

So I went and hugged all the barriers in search of invisible walls. And yes, they are there, but it is not too bad.

They are usually at a few fingers' width from the visible wall.

These cars are all hugging the walls:

T1: 24.177
T2: 22.007
T1: 24.181
T2: 22.005

As much of a shocking improvement at the line..

T1: 24.138
T2: 21.966
Submitting this for now.

I haven't been able to improve my time since I set it during the first hour of my first attempt. I have had chances (not many because of the kink) but blown all of them:ouch:

I don't really think the time I have is going to be competitive enough for a podium as I have come close to beating my time when down at T2.

May have one final attempt before the dead line but can't see an improvement coming, this track doesn't seem to like me:sly:
