Sweet 2nd sector mate - brilliant 👍 I'm using BB 4/7 which feels good to me while trail braking.... strange how different setting suit different driving styles.

My splits suffered under the sightseeing, and haven't driven Rome reverse before, so I did see quite some walls.

Well it does say 'holiday' in the event title. I haven't driven Rome reverse before either and I have to say its a blast when you nail the difficult corners.... but when you don't.... and I absolutely detest that barrier collision sound. It haunts me during city course weeks. Good luck anyway Joost - put some blinkers on mate.

Felt like almost the perfect lap for me so I'd say I'm about at my limit. I've done a couple of low 24.1 1st sectors but then failed to capitalise in sector 2.... and this lap has my best 2nd and 3rd sectors so far I think. In theory maybe looking for a tenth or less, so this could be it for me. Pretty happy with it I think. Just as well since Skyrim comes out tomorrow and it may take up quite a bit of my free time...

I know I have more time to find, i've managed on seperate occasions a 21.9xx T2 (Complete fluke, absolutely nailed the kink) and a 24.1xx T1, aswell as cutting my final sector by a tenth.

I know what laptime I can possibly do, but I think i'll have to submit my current time because... i'll be busy this weekend Providing my Skyrim Pre-order comes ontime... i'm already going to be 9+ hours behind everyone else when it's delivered.

For your information guys, I think there is still a .2 left somewhere in the first two sectors. I was running the combo earloer today and with an unknown magical trick, I managed to do a 24.05x in T1 (I have a blackout of approx. 2 minutes after that haha), then combine this with a low 21.8 in T2 and you have the perfect recipe to crash a wall on T3!!

I was able to clean up my line and thus bring my times down by doing that very thing!
Tends to help alot if you seem to be a fair way off and cant work out why.

Anyway, I can consistently beat my T1 by about 0.3s now, but I can't get through that kink as well as I used to just before!

Perfect T1. The first corner of T2 was quite slow, lost about 3 tenths there, but at least I didn't crash into the wall.

I'm a sucker for good physics and close competition I like both but I would say the other game is broken at the moment as muscle cars are dominating the leaderboards even though they are topping out at low speeds. Also needs a patch for 900 degree wheel issues.

This game is a lot better on the wheel and I think I have actually turned into a GT fanboy So I will be sticking around that's for sure. Not only that but I prefer the GTP community, to many idiots on the other game:tup:

Hope nobody minds me sticking around in the WRS

Just a shame there are no leaderboards in this game, if it did have them then there would be no competition out there for this game, even with the other game having better features.

Thanks, I was going to be back sooner but let a friend borrow the ps3.

As for the kink, I was wondering if people are using 4th through there or staying in 5th. I am staying in 5th but it is tough to get through there fast. The corner at the end of the straight in T2 I am taking in 3rd, maybe others are using 2nd and that's where I may be loosing a bit of time. Most of my time lost though is the dreaded kink

In game FF is on 5. I take it your in game FF is set high seeing as though you are running it very low on the wheel. As for dead zone i'm surprised you have it on 000. Reason being you will suffer from the wheel wobble, especially in the faster cars.

Great T1 and T2. After seeing my T2 split time I was a bit too cautious and lost a tenth on my PB in T3.

Dangerously close to the kink walls on both sides - using 4. gear btw.

Just tried to do T2's sharp left hander in 2. gear, and 0.2 vanished

And I think I found my line through T3, coasting a while close to the outer walls to get balanced before mashing the throttle.

torque 40/60, brake 4/6/1

Just a shame there are no leaderboards in this game, if it did have them then there would be no competition out there for this game, even with the other game having better features.

Could not agree more on that wish. I have been living in GT5-only world for so long I forgot about that feature, how I miss it now.

I do have the in game FF at max. The wheel wobble can be an issue on certain cars. Mostly with faster cars as you mentioned. Not a problem with this combo. I usually increase the linearity slightly to correct this, rather than the dead zone. Just a matter of preference I guess.
