*cough*douplepost*cough* I will devote my self into the qualifier now. A suggestion for DS3 users. Try not using full controller sensitivity, it makes you turn better with karts

Man this is like waiting for a sneeze, you know it's about to happen, and you wait and wait and when you finally get to the turn, it's just the best feeling after your done with it just to feel that twitch again and that waiting for that next big sneeze

T1: 35.061
T2: 21.679

Starting to get a grip on the course

T1: 34.389
T2: 21.389

Yeah, I noticed that when testing this, but I thought the difficult corners were difficult enough to still make it a challenge. And I personally found it to be less frustrating than a track with elevation change and/or curbs. I like your description, for sure. You have a way with words and phrases.

I'm wondering how that "all the corners flat out" thing is going for you. While my test laps were already faster than my SIARPC lap, I still found the need to do some braking. :scared:

The Clutch on Fire had already paid it forward on the $500, but I opened a nice bottle of beer when everyone was back at the house to add to the celebration. :)

Kevin, you've made my day (or rather, week). I have very little carting experience and have hardly ever raced at the TGTT. This combo will teach me both. 👍

First clean splits (and that is without all wheels flying at Gambon)

34.195
20.885

I must say driving a kart is very fun, altho the lack of suspension and front brakes makes this baby very unstable and easy to lose in corners.

T1: 34.389
T2: 21.389

The flat out thing is still a quest as it always is w/ me and go karts but I'm going to have to deal w/ the reality of dabing a little bit in some turns. I usally mesure a go kart track by how much I use the brakes not how long I'm on the gas since I'm usally WFO most of the time and G-locking the turns in a way that once I set the kart, that arc should get me through the turn wo/ having to adjust the wheel at all as it's flat out and just locked in for the ride.

(off topic) Man Kevin I don't know how you could have even gone to sleep that night, I would have had to call in sick the next day cuz I would have been partying all night long 👍 )

T1: 34.146
T2: 21.370

Hmm, didn't realize the lack of front brakes, thanks for that. I'll keep it in mind. Nice first-place splits, by the way. 👍

I'm using 3rd person view for this one, for the extra height/visibility. I'm horrible in other cars in 3rd person view, though. Throttle modulation and early back on the power help a lot here. 👍

Let's see if Fetchbot still remembers me :) (He seems to think we're driving Mustangs this week :P)

T1: 34.599
T2: 21.357

34.902
21.246

A small improvment. I have seen better I just need to string the good runs together. Hopefully will be able to by the end of the week.

Hi everyone
Unofficial competitor for now. Am going better at this combination than i expected but still spinning more laps than clean :)

I think I found out the racing line... So hard to be smooth and brake accurate on the DS3
I hope Santa will bring me a FFB Racing Wheel. Come on Santa I'm on the clean racers list.

34.407
21.107

(my splits look like ugly Peugeot cars :) )

Welcome back, man, I remember some battles we had back in early 2011 in WRS, when you made a big jump/promotion into Div4. My splits are with my DFGT, but I tried with the DS3 last night, and I feel your pain...:ill:

Hi,
It seems that I was wrong...
33.484
20.596

I gave my wheel a french kiss afterwards.

Amazing splits, E. I was amazed at all the little places to drop time on this combo, and you've proved I still have a lot more to find! 👍

Thanks, congratulations on your Div 3 Gold promotion, I hope I'll reach that soon!
And since we are already in the same division, let the new battles begin!
I'm glad I'm back.

Oops, I assumed you were still in D4, by your signature. You should update that. :D

LOL, I just may dust off my old WRS gloves for this one (will have to blow hard, there's a LOT of dust on 'em :) )

Welcome back hope you dont kick my butt like you do in thoose shuffle races :)

The track looks so wide and timing for the turns a real challenge w/ the kart at such a low visual angle. The turns are so much fun when you can get locked in you just don't want them to end

T1: 34.086
T2: 21.037

I finally joind the 1 second club :)

T1: 34.081
T2: 20.926

WOW I'm getting in the zone now, what a great call Kevin 👍 these karts just hang in there for the turns, what a crack :)

Struggling to find that edge to break into the 33's!
Everytime I find speed into, through and out of the first corner, I end up backing it into the cones at Chicago . . .
If not that then I get a HOT LAP and end up taking the last corner slow due to fear of screwing up :nervous:
I didnt think this one would sustain my attention all week but i must say it's like a car wrek, i just can't look away!!

Again, Nice selection Kev!!👍

Cheers All !!!
