I've never had to deliberate so long about who I'm going to quote, but I'll go for my bro, Jon (close 2nd was Kevin's writeup:tup: and Matt's bacon buttie post:tup:). Crazy nice splits! :cheers: I hope you can fix up the POO, as that was probably my biggest revelation last night...T3's here can all FEEL similar, but can easily be 0.3+ apart in time difference.

Thanks Lucas, I can only hope. Sadly it's the worst T3 on my spreadsheet, so I should be able to at least improve on the lap time even if I can't keep the T1 and t2 times. I've struggled in the week just to keep up with this thread, nevermind the other drivers. Outstanding competition this week 👍
 
Had another crack at this, quite a long session of 1 hour produced these splits:

T1: 24.605
T2: 20.639

Not bad but still looking for around 2 tenths.

Unfortunately I'm out of this one, I have to go away for a week.
Had one final stint which was very bad...best split at T2 was .553 (hehe), best T1 was .706 and best T2 was .697.
If I didn't have to go I'd be able to string these in a .250 faster lap but I have to go so I'm submitting.

I don't think I'll hit the podium so I'm very dissapointed about that, oh well... Good luck everyone, I'm submitting.

I know what you mean and how you feel. Did several stint without any progression in laptime. Most of the time i do a stint, i have 1 very good sector. The other time i mess that good sector up and do good at an other sector. Well that's more or less the story of my life when it comes to time trails. Hope that this one comes together before the dealine. Really really want a podium (i'm probably not the only one :lol: Spend so much time on this weeks WRS, i never did before. Maybe abit to much, it dominated my days off :lol: But i'm not the only one, i supose.
 
Well, I'm going to give it one more shot and see if I can duplicate my best t2 from yesterday WITHOUT stopping for lunch in the final turn!! I was up by a tenth and a half, and then lost it S L O W L Y over the final sector, ending up behind my ghost by .004! :ouch:
I've also noticed this ghost will seem to be right behind you, and yet still have a faster split. You need to really get ahead of him to get a better time.
If there was ever a time for "chukability" to kick in, it's now. My fastest sectors say I can go two tenths at t2, but it's a crapshoot, really. The entry to the tunnel is so important, and that's where I'm losing time in t1, never to get it back. :ill:

I think I'll submit with my current splits, I know I can go .2xx faster in T1 but putting all together in 1 lap just isn't happening for me.

Had fun on this combo, one of my favourites I think.
 
New splits for me.

T1: 25.276
T2: 21.228

I know for a fact that I can get lower than 25 in the T1, the entrance to the tunnel is just tricky. I think I can get 20.7xx in T2 if i can just figure out the 2 turns after the tunnel exit. I've got all day, so I think I can accomplish this. 👍

Well the first righthander after the tunnel. Apply throtthle as soon as possible. If i take it good i go back on the throttle just before the apex but be very gentle, as soon you got the wheel straighen out go full throttle. From there on it's full throttle till the last turn. That second turn after the tunnel, the lefthander. Gear up the moment you turn in on that moment i carry about 106/108km.

It's tricky but you really have to try to gear up after the apex just before the limiter at ~115 km/h..

That will be ideal indeed. But you have to be spot on and i think it's an minor advantage. I did .6 with it. I my toughts, good enough.

That's thru. But i'm still stuggeling big time with that first sector. When i have a good one i'm not gonna throw away a couple of thent for a couple of thousands in T2 ;) :lol:
 
After a little online practice with WRP and Gooners I re-attacked the offline event with a much improved T2 and T3 but .2 down on my T1
T1:25.206
T2:20.773

If I could re gain the loss in T1 and possibly pick up a tenth in T3 I'll be more than happy, and any extra time knocked off in T2 thrown in for free will be much appreciated.

Usual knocked it right on the head, so don't get yourself down in the pits. It took me nearly 4 days to break into the sub 24's this week after being away for so long, the amount of laps that I did between start & finish is unimaginable :( So stick to it, keep practicing & that magic lap will arrive sooner than your think.👍

D2 pushed so close to D1 with this combo, but white paint is lighter than red :D
Cheers, I do what I can to help out :). And you are right, the white paint is lighter, I just improved using the white car.
Cut it damn close going into the tunnel, but as far as I can see, there is always a bit of tyre hanging over the white line :scared:
I'm done chasing thousandths, submitting with these splits.

I don't know how those pedals are but with my DFGT I had to stick something under the brake padel spring to give it more tension upwards.

I used the bungee cord method with my old DFGT. I don't think you can do such ghetto rigging with the G27, except maybe find another spring to go in the cylinder... I think his problem is with the potentiometer itself...
 
Faster by 0.087 at the line, slower splits though. That T1 continues to kill me :grumpy:

As I'm looking at the leaderboard it seems like I'm really missing something about T2. :confused:
I'm about to give up and submit with current splits...

More like the holiday season bought me some spare time. My T3 is shocking though so I don't expect to stay in the top ten come results day - unless I can hook it all up tonight. Had a run through last night and all of a sudden I can't do the second sector :indiff:

I've been struggling, but I've figured out a few things and it's just starting to come together. I know there is two tenths to find just in T1, but I'm finally starting to figure out T2 and the final turn so I'm shooting for 2 more tenths.

Slower T1 with the drift, but faster lap.

T1: 25.103
T2: 20.795


Slower T3 but faster lap by 0.05... getting there.

T1: 25.004
T2: 20.802
