Welcome back Chris, and nice T2 from both you and Joao!

Yeah the track penalties are killing everyone - I think the frustration comes from the inconsistency in application from one corner to the next, and that you can't see them. Running to WRS rules, you can of course quite clearly see when you woulbe be out of bounds before it happens!

EDIT: Just looked at the leaderboard - SURELY a post wk48 promotion for you Joao, please!!! :sly:

Well today I finally got the chance to turn on the PS3. I had to make time for this week. Such a great car. With the limited time that I have these are my splits

24.842
36.774

Hopefully I get some more time later in the week. But pretty happy with this after 30 Lapps.

Cheers.

New Splits:

T1: 24.134
T2: 35.955

I ran a 59.932 the lap after this but went off on the righthander after end of T2. Back to the track.

I would have posted new splits but I took a curb to the tires.

Edit:

Realized it also needed an oil change as it lost 1hp. Returned to track and put up a time that was similar to what I had done with a "right side tires on the curb coming out of turn 1 so we can't allow this lap" time.

T1: 24.187
T2: 36.152

I probably can get a few more tenths out of it but not today. I've had enough frustration for now.

First splits, car still breaking in.

24.066
36.037

Best T1 I've seen, I know I have around .2 in T2 to put together and .4 in T3:nervous:.

Great setup Kevin , I immediately went almost a second faster compared to my own crappy tune.

New Splits:

T1: 24.041
T2: 35.592

I have no clue where that came from! I was running 59.9xx maybe touching 59.8 once and then I turn that? I'm literally shaking right now. T3 wasn't great, infact poor, but still up four tenths at the line. I think I can recreate this later and get a better T3. Wow, I'm excited right now.

I was curious because that was all I could get out of the car, but as the OP stated:

It sounded like Bob had more work to do. Thankzz.... so now it's up to me.... bummer :)

I leave that there by default, as I've occasionally had the engine fully broken in but lost a little power due to no oil change after breakin, or maybe not had quite enough miles. A lot of times I'm posting the power of a brand new or nearly new car. But not this time.

I just try to avoid the inevitable question of -

"I need help, I'm confused!! The OP says 178 HP, but I have 179!! Will I be DQ'd ?!?!?!"

Nice splits mcfizzle! :)

I think i have a factory freak! :D mine is showing 180hp, i tested the car monday and ran enought to break it in, oil changed again, i just noticed mine didnt had 178, i made sure theres nothing on the car.

Atrocious T3, as usual - still at 175bhp, I think it's given up increasing

Another half second in there somewhere, pulling the whole thing together is so tough. Fastest splits so far by a tenth, though

Awesome splits Matt, especially at 175 bhp.👍

Thanks Mike, I'm happy with them but I also learned a lot from that session and think there is more time to be found by me. I've never been good on this track but I feel like I'm figuring lines out and turning off the gear indicator seems to have helped.

Yes we do! :D hehe, its a great TV! Still good picture quality vs what is out now. :)

Yes, can't understand how it can be worse in pic quality if it's compared to other identical spec TV's :nervous:

On-topic, tomorrow is actually going to be my last day on the combo, I'm going on a 3-day trip 200 miles away from home and I'll probably be back monday night. Need to get bunch of time on track :nervous:

Unfortunately, I ran my last session for this event last night. Only managed to get another 40 minutes but it proved fruitful. I'm disappointed that I won't get another run before the deadline as I reckon I have a good chance at a decent position, although the splits below don't necessarily reflect the pace I can achieve. Like others, I've seen 59.6's disappear through red clocking somwhere. I'm consistent in T1 and am getting the hang of T2. I'm also pretty happy where T3 is as well. My current splits put me just a shade worse than before

24.073
35.835

but I had an improvement of a third of a second at the line

Here's my current set-up. It's based on Kevin's (thanks mate) but with an extra serve of yee-haa! I'm changing right on the limiter in all gears and using 2nd gear for the first turn and the three haipins in T3, and 3rd for Dunlop. Seeing 212km/h (132mph) at the line. Follow Kev's guidelines for setting the gearbox, and then adjust final drive to 4.045 and then any changes to individual gears last.

Good luck everyone

EDIT: Nice splits there from Scott and Matt 👍

Going to give your tune a try this night Jon, as i have Matt on my back :dopey:

But moments ago i blew a 59.303 :ouch: so i think i can improve in all sectors, as long as i don´t choke as usual.

A pity that you can´t get some more seat time :guilty:

Thanks for the kind thoughts Joao, but I'm not in the 59.3 range so (again) you would have me well beaten :sly:

Hopefully by the next event you'll be D1 and it will give the rest of us a chance  In all seriousness, you've definately had a step up in pace in the last few weeks - well done 👍

23.910
35.612

Had 59.45x in the middle of quite a long session, took ages to get up to full power but now she is it's starting to come together. Lost about a tenth in 100R lighting up the tyres and getting inside too early and losing some speed (down to 95mph)

Good lap though.

Just watched a nice replay from WRS wk22, I've now got a better idea of the lines I should be taking. ;)

Yes, can't understand how it can be worse in pic quality if it's compared to other identical spec TV's :nervous:
I've a Samsung SyncMaster2333HD (TV/monitor) and I was a bit disappointed by its pic quality because it was a bit blured if compared to a monitor, I edited the source name as "PC" and all became sharp and crystal clear as any other monitor, maybe that's what you are looking for.

Thanks for the settings Jon. It felt really nice and even though I didn't get any splits in the time I used it, I could tell it will make me faster though. Turn 2 is my achilles heel right now, blowing a lot of good laps there and the double right right after it.

Sorry Scott, would love to help, but I haven't done a T2 as fast as you yet so I'm not sure what I could offer  I did find though that there is a little marker flag on the inside of turn 3 and I'm using that as my reference to ease off the throttle.

Glad you like the set-up 👍
