Just had 20 minutes for one last ditch attempt to get a faster lap but failed - came close in places but it's so easy just to spin up the wheels out of the hairpin or Casio and lose the advantage and more in the subsequent long drags to the next braking point.

A nervous eleven and a half hours to go

Trying and failing to find grip out of the hairpin cost me more than anywhere else.

Cleaner lap that I'm happy with, hope to find one that isn't dropping .4 in T1 and some in the others, but I really doubt it.

T1: 1'01.103
T2: 49.969

New splits:

T1 1'00.623
T2 49.837

Few hundredths at the line, but they all count I suppose.

Think I'll stop now. Made an improvement tonight. Not really enjoying it though. On to the Maserati. Good luck if you're still going.

1'01.688
50.778

Finally got the lap I knew I could get. I think I'll stop with that lap as I don't want to continue pushing it and not get anything else out of it.

1'00.874
50.457

Going to submit with that lap.

Final splits:

T1 1'00.863
T2 49.689

Messy first sector, couldn't get the car where I wanted it. Was going to throw away the lap but managed a pb in sector 2, and a pretty good sector 3 compared to my times this week.
Even if I improve t1, I doubt I will do any better over the whole lap.

Good luck to everyone still running.

Cheers

Couldn't improve my splits today and I was away in the weekend so I have to submit my time from wednesday.:indiff:
Splits are ok but that last sector isn't good enough. But then I think I was lucky last week so...

Good luck to all.

I didn't post my tune as I messed with it so much that eventually I lost it completely and have never been happy with it.

Submitting with current splits; little fella had a fever last night, and I thought I might snag an extra session at home, but he pulled up OK in the morning, so I'm at work instead 👍:indiff:

Pleased with the lap for the sessions I had, I think, since I ran no laps until Friday and then tried to wedge too much in late. Good for the wheel technique, and I'm actual starting to get better at corrections/saves a bit.

T1 1'01.925
T2 51.250

OMG enough of this challenge!!!

I had way better T1/T2 splits but never a clean full lap :( i'm sure many of you suffered through this as well. Kudos to EDK on a super difficult challenge. I still need TONS of practice w/the DFGT to get near my times with the DS3, but this challenge clearly highlighted the benefits of precise throttle/brake/steering inputs.

I have never hated a ghost more than in this challenge! So many times I was putting together 2/3 great corners only to lose focus when my ghost crept up on me!

On the WRS website, how do I reflect that I used a DS3?

G/L All! Not that you D4'ers will need it w/my crappy times.

Edit:
Nevermind! Figured it out!

1'00.694

47 min before deadline...still hunting!!! ;)

Edit:

The hunt is over without avail... :(

Shocked that I held off Jon's charge (and Speedy scared me at the end)... see you guys in the results thread. My first gold in D2... not that many submissions, but I'll take it anyway. 👍
