This looks fun, can't wait to run this tomorrow.

Vagabond
Now I can sit for the rest of the week and watch my time be caught, overtaken and drop steadily down the leaderboard :P

I remember you being very fast in the online tt at this track a while back in the r390 road car. Think you were around top 10, (I remember it being around the time I ran the wrs qualifier), think i managed 124th, only time I've got onto the leaderboard. Hopefully all the laps I put in will help.
Good luck all.

Louis

Gutted I dropped a .285 in T1 on the lap previous. It's certainly a car you've got to keep on the boil...
Ouch! :yuck: Yeah you do have to keep the hammer down with this kart - one of those that rewards bravery on the throttle. You'll find another .2xx pretty quickly Jon. :)

First session :)
Nice start 👍 How broken is broken DFGT?....

Nice step mate. 👍

I got another chance to run :) - I am always amazed at the patience and even encouragement my missus has toward my WRS habit. Got set up on the dining table tonight, with a straight backed chair instead of the sofa.... much better - more stable and better driving position to boot. Its a bit of a pain getting setup and then having to move everything again but I've been spoiled having my own den to play in and I'd rather get a half hour in that way than not run at all. Improved every sector pretty quickly and ended the session with:

24.211
29.997

I should change my Sector 1 video to the one from this lap - it was much smoother through turn 1 and didn't use so much grass on the exit. Pretty pleased with this lap at this point but we'll see how it holds up over the week as everyone speeds up and the aliens arrive. :)

Hey Louis  Yeah this car is fantastic fun on this track. I ended up 13th with the R390 round here in the Seasonal TT... so close to a top 10 but I just couldn't nail my best sectors together, as is so often the story. I was well pleased with 13th though - my best finish so far in a Seasonal. 👍 Good luck to you - what you learned that week will pay off now I guarantee it.

Want to borrow my old used TableMate? On second thought, you look like you are doing just fine with your setup! 👍

👍 My wife is terribly patient with all of this. Don't get me wrong, I definitely hear about it when the kids are acting up, but when the PS3 broke, she gave very little grief about me selling other toys to replace it. Now I just have to keep dropping hints about the wheel for my birthday.

Very fun combo, once again, Kevin! I'm trying Chris' version of your tune right now, but I'll be giving the original a try soon. Thanks to both of you and to whoever will share their own tune this week.

I, too, really like that New Sherwood Toning scheme, but it was the other MR2 that had it in my OCD. The one to use was Super White II, but I fixed that with a nice green.

Hey guys. I'm new to this and this week will be my first WRS entry, once i get a good session in. I qualified division2 silver, which i am surprised and super stoked about. Although very nervous as i am not great at setting up a car (not a requirement of the qualifier). I am looking forward to learning how to tune my rides in order to compete in my division. Thanks to anyone posting a tune to help out the less talented ;)

Broke my wrist over the weekend, so i'll be sitting the WRS for a minute. Hopefully ill be well enough to use a controller soon enough.

Welcome......you will get a lot of beneficial tuning help where applicable as the vets are most helpful.

Damn, man, sorry to hear that. I guess you can't use your toes like the WRS aliens, huh? J/K

Get well quick!!!

Welcome to WRS, go to this thread it will give you good pointers on where to start

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=242590

Keep in mind that tuning is very personnal as it relate to the way you like to drive and what type of controller or wheel you are using.

Have fun see you on the track

👍 Now I just have to keep dropping hints about the wheel for my birthday.

I have a different wheel now, but I drove for years, since Gt4 with a Logitech Driving Force Pro and I know you can find a used one for about 50 $. That wheel is great and very solid.

On one comparison on Inside Sim Racing, it was the wheel that the tester was going faster with.

I like my new wheel because it has a H shifter and a bigger rim, but I am not faster than with the Driving Force Pro.

Definitely beats the controler.
I still have mine, I use it when I travel with my PS3, since the other whell is hard monted on my made myself rig. my 2 cc. :)

After a week off figure I better come back and try my luck.

Hope this can get lower over the next few days.
Justin.

Used Vagabond Tune, ABS set at 10 left me dropping RPM's too low so went with ABS 8.
Tranny setup is Kev's......Thanks Guy's!!

Here's what I've got tune-wise so far. I started with Vagabond's tune and went from there. It's fairly different at this point.

24.344
30.094

Not the greatest 3rd sector, and I've had better 1st sectors too, just a matter of putting it all together. I'm still messing with the tune quite a bit too.

It's usable just rattles a lot when idle due to a snapped frame inside that holds the wheel in place! I glued it months back and the glue has separated since then methinks :sly: It's my old DFGT and I bought a new one last week and Kel is making use of the last bit of life the old wheel has :scared:

Will replace it for her someday :dopey: done all my previous recent WRS's with that broken wheel so it obviously works when treated nice and gentle

Can´t get first sector right, best till now is a high .4x :ill:

First splits

T1: 24.524
T2: 30.245

Using Chris tune 👍

Slow down Jon :sly:

No, please catch up, I feel a little strange being up there in 9th OA even if it is just a couple of days in...Best part is, it was just one of those magical laps, I can get close, but I cant seem to beat it!

I will try to catch up, I need to figure my T1 first. LOL

Full throttle, very little touch of brake just to start the car rotating. Then full mash and hope the tires hold. Then for turn two, 5th gear just a lift an no brakes then back flat up te hill and around the corner.

Still getting used to it but having fun with this little car :D
