Was going to post previous splits and submit lap but I decided to have just one more go at getting at 26.x T1. Didn't get it:grumpy: but did improve OT by 0.4 so not all bad :dopey:

Submitting. Good Luck to any still running.

From my fastest lap :D

I'm using AS on Mild and frankly I don't see any difference. As for the brakes I use ABS 10 with 9/10 bb and I'm thinking of moving to something more rear biased.

I've always wondered what is the advantage to running ABS at 10? May give it a go. 👍

I'm finally happy with my splits and overall time, I'm done with this week. 👍

Final splits:
26.547
20.515

Spud, ABS 10 gives you no lock at all, so you can trail brake much easier.

I'm going to write a little guide for this event.

I cross the line at 260, in some cases 261 km/h, I hold the inner side for the next corner, hit up to 290291 km/h on the straight, turn in on the inside, exit on the outside, hitting up to about 291293 km/h before braking hard while going on the outside for the 2nd corner beeing very close to the barrier, the closer you get to the barrier the faster your T1 time will be, try to turn in after braking to maximise your exit speed (I take this corner in 4th gear). Exit speed from corner 2 should be aboutover 200 km/h. I move to the left, brake just as the road widens after the bridge, brake hard while downshifting to 3rd, then I start turning in at the 3/4 of the kerb on the right and downshift to 2nd for easier turn in. After I've cleared first of the S bend I then move to the left, apply about 2% of brakes and downshift to 2nd and start aiming for the apex near the kerb on the left. When I hit the apex I then start accelerating and exit the corner near the right side of the tunnel wallI take the S curve just so I can get on the throttle as early as possible, even if it meant not hitting the apex and taking the middle route, speed is key - the earlier you can get on the throttle the faster your time will be, for the exit just do the same. From there on I cut the concrete after T2 (this is track as stated) and before the final corner I brake just a little bit so I can downshift to 4th, I enter the corner while trying to not go under 200207 km/h. I hold the outside line in the last corner in order to maximise my speed and if I did everything right my speed at the line should be 260 or 261 km/h. I shift at the redline.
I hope this helps.

Updated guide.

I'd be happy now if the attached T3 wasn't sucktacular. Ah, well, a little time left.

26.895
20.748

EDIT:
Typhon, you have to go into the options menu and map the RA menu buttons for the DS3 (5, total - I went with square and the D-pad, at the time, since I didn't need 'em , since I used the sticks for steering and gear change, L2 and R2 brake/accel). After that, the BB can be changed on-track anywhere.

Shall I worry that my submission has not been confirmed?

I always submit my best lap after each session and yes, deadline is tomorrow at midnight.

I too submit my time everytime I post new splits. Keeps it neat and tidey for me and then no worries when it comes to the deadline.

Al

ok thanks guys, I'll submit later then. Maybe have another wee go after work tomorrow and see if my lucks in :P.

26.647
20.652

Getting pretty close to my limit, may submit with these splits. I'm feeling Week 61's WRS, back to taking normal lines and not getting really close to walls!

No submission.........CPU quirk and lost my graphics card....excuse for an upgrade. [grin]

EDIT: Go Kentucky and SEC!

Submitted with present splits.

strong, abs1 3/7 and I have jack to thank for the bb it works BRILLIANTLY!

Youre welcome Matt glad to have helped some in some small way.:)

I suppose I should try one more time but honestly im into the next week now so I will try some but not as much as normally because next weeks an uber challenge for me.

I could get real lucky run a lower lap after only trying for a short while at HSR. I sure hope so. lol

26.711
20.740

Going to now beat it because I did a very poor for me T3 this lap. only 7 thousandths lower.

26.748
20.686

even worse T3. hahaha

26.706
20.814

Can hold my head high with this T3 but now must hang my head in shame with my T2. hahaha

26.706
20.729

Grand total for today half a tenth lower at the line. I want more man!

26.671
20.842

Nice T2 man! haha

Im going to put it all together, I hope.

26.710
20.643

Getting close but left a tenth in T3. Was relativly easy this last time to beat my last lap so maybe I got a little more in me?

Submitted with posted splits. Haven't had time since Saturday morning. Hopefully I don't fall too far.

Couldn't resist another quick go. Poor T1, tenth better in T2, average T3 for a massive 0.014 improvement at the line!!!! :sly:

26.813
20.717

EDIT: Not sure how this lap was faster but it was. Felt like the worst lap I'd driven but I just kept opening up time on the ghost.

26.783
20.635

Poor T3 again so I don't expect to hold this position tomorrow, but very pleased with the 0.13 I've picked up tonight :D

That's the lap I've submitted, I've been quicker in every sector but it's the best I've been able to manage over the lap.:ouch:

27.369

I seem to hit a wall (pun intended). Got these early in the week and for the life of me, can't seem to do better. My problem is lack of consistency. I can do one sector a few 10ths better, but then lose it in the end. Could not really string two consecutive good lines at in the last coner. Submitted these for now and will try again in the evening.

Time submitted I hope I've done it right. Not had time to improve so my current time will need to be good enough :P.

Just cannot get the hang of this track like I think I should. Put in about 4 hours yesterday and could only muster up:

26.869
20.804

Calling it quits and submitting if it's working.

Give up on this :guilty: tried really hard but can´t figure out T1, only once i saw a sub .7 and even sub .8 were few and far from each other. Everytime i tought i had the right speed i banged that :banghead::banghead: right wall :nervous:

Tried to maximise T2 and T3 instead, let´s see how it goes

Nice combo but my love to HSR didn´t improve 👎

Best of luck to all still on the track  really nice splits from so many so can´t wait for this night results

Side note, being on D1 at least the pressure to cause damage to my handicap as gone :dopey: but i don´t want to make bad impression on my first week so there´s still pressure

Final splits:
T1: 26.793
T2: 20.610

Hey Dale! You look awesome way up there on the leader board!!!!! Wish I could be up there with you!

Al

I might run some more laps before the deadline, likely to be to no avail because I have an ultra-solid lap, but the Mclaren event is frustrating me at the moment due to inability to control it at speed, this is the stress-free alternative, believe it or not!? (Not often the case with HSR high-lines!)

submited with my posted splits, only managed 2 20min sessions this time 👎
