Quick question...the stock torque distribution on the Citroen is 30/70? I haven't been playing with the RA functions...

T1:27.319
T2:44.629

This track is going to put me in the nut house! I swear every lap the walls move a little. :banghead:

Thanks Joost! 👍

Question for people using DFGT's....

What force feedback settings are you using? I've had a play with mine and decided it prefer it on 10, feel all the bumps and such.

I use 10 also, I don't know if it is just me but I find now that I have had the wheel a few months the ffb strength seems to weaken over time. Is it just me who finds there is a dead zone problem for this car track combo, I don't think it's the wheel but it's a struggle when you loose the feedback in the middle of turns :yuck:

I use 8 and power steering. And yes Plato, I have lot's of deadzone too! Is it the DFGT or the car???

I use 5 for my G27, with no power assist.

I think you'll find setting it to 10 will wear the motors out faster, and makes it more difficult to make quick turns and quick corrections. I know some people who have even unplugged their wheel for WRS events at Monaco, just to be able to make faster and more precise turns in some of the tightest areas.

Just my opinion.

Feedback in the DFGT always felt weak to me, I had mine at 10, power steering should be off.

G27 settings are same as Kev's. Though he is right about the tight turns at Monaco, you'll want to tone it down.

The FFB on my DFGT is set to like 4 or something, cause I'm becoming a weak old man  I tried mine on 10 and what a pain that was, credit to those who can race fast with that on. Now if setting it to 10 would rid of the deadzone, I'd be at 10 :D

I might try this later.... Sounds interesting!

I don't notice anything mid corner or this week at all.
But last week, my car was weaving going down the straight and I felt a big dead zone, top center in the wheel.
I don't know if it's the combo or the wheel to blame but I usually don't notice any discernible dead zone.
I'll give more attention to the wheel and get back to you after my next session.

FFB at 7, even this week.

Plato, maybe you were feeling the sweet spot. :sly:

I used it for awhile after a shoulder surgery a few years back.
Just unplug the round wire from the wheel is all you have to do.
Be careful with the end as it's powered.
All buttons will still work.

I wish it was a sweet spot lol, but the dead zone catches me out and ruins my lines into certain corners, I have an ok lap but I can see more time but the dead zone won't let me... more to the point I think it's the chicane i'm struggling with, braking to late I think and loosing exit speed but can't get out of this bad habit :grumpy:

Put 30 or so laps and got a second and a half off my last best. Don't think I got a single corner right on this one though.

27.776
46.256

By the way, if you're having trouble with hairpin and haven't tried the handbrake you should give it a go. Makes it much easier.

i would doubt the handbrake makes you go faster in that hairpin

It may not give a huge increase in the cornering speed through the corner, but if you get the timing of it down it definitely helps you rotate the back end around quicker so you can get back on the gas faster exiting the corner.

New splits. Slower T1, faster T2, a bit faster overall.
T1: 27.288
T2: 44.325

Might get some more time to devote to this, but not sure.

Split: 27.024
Split: 43.810

Slightly slower first split, have had a couple of 26.8s but made up some time in sector 2, overall time that counts :)

I turned my ffb down to 4, is that the only setting you can change on the wheel? I was thinking there was a way to change several things such as linearity and spring strength. I know you can do it when you are using it on the pc, do the settings stay when plugged into a ps3?

It's all game specific, and GT doesn't support these settings.... :(
