Thanks Munch, it's sad though. I had to use the driving line for the first time, although I keep getting random times shifting the ABS from 1-4. Hopefully I can catch up to you before the week is over

I had to go back to basic setup with traction control at 0 to get any improvement.
Every thing I adjusted seem to slow me down.

T1: 28.360
T2: 45.831

Hopefully my qualifier will be processed for this event, so I spent some time tonight. At times it seems that holding the wheel at 7 and 5 is much more appropriate for this combo, lol.

Wow, that was bad. I was stuck for a while, then I had a lap that really came together and shattered my previous best by 1.4s. I saved it and went to replay theater to look at the sector times. Something didn't add up; I was over a second off my normal pace in the first 2 sectors. It turns out I saved the replay, not the ghost :scared:

Luckily I was able to repeat the feat and put together another lap that was only 0.04s off that one.

T1: 27.786
T2: 45.449

I would say to stop that, as far as adjusting ABS. Using 1 isn't that much different than 4, or 10. It's more about the discipline of controlling the car, which will not be so different when you keep adjusting that particular setting. I think you would notice more of a difference changing from 1 to "off" than you will changing it from 1 to 10. If you leave it at 1, that's a constant you don't have to think about. Also, remember that the driving line is interactive, meaning it changes according to your placement at the time. It won't necessarily show you the best line possible, just the best line for where you are at at that particular time in your lap. It will change every lap.

First session splits for me. This is even more fun than I imagined in testing. :D

27.560
44.587

Using front torque of 25. I found 20 to be good for me up to T1, 30 was good from T2 to finish, this provided a nice balance.

Brakes are set to 10/6, it helps bring the back end around for a point and shoot approach.

I'm sliding the car all over the place. You should see the smoke coming off my tires. :P

EDIT:

This has to be the hardest combo yet.

I was nice to you guys, check out what Sjaak put us through. :scared:

Woah... Apparently when I made my GTP account I forgot got to set the wheel to simulation from amateur. :dunce::dunce::dunce: 2 laps later, .7 off my T1+T2. Now the hairpin is just a quick cross up and not the full on bus driver!

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong but you can't adjust torque split and brake balance in arcade mode? If you can, teach me how!

It would be really silly of me to break the rules of the race I posted up, now wouldn't it? :sly:

As it says in the first post, the in race RA functions are optional. These are the adjustments you can make on the DFGT wheel, but you can also map the buttons on your DS3 controller to make the settings available to you. Go into the settings area of the main menu screen, then go to Button Assignments, where the picture of the DS3 is.

You need to set a button for each of the following -

(RA Function) Show Menu - This brings up the RA functions while you are running

(RA Function) Select + and - (One Button each) - This lets you toggle through the different settings

(RA Function) Adjust + and - (One Button each) this lets you change the setting for the function you select

Wow, this is great fun, my favorite combo so far:tup: i haven't adjusted anything in the RA menu, so far I really enjoy the way the car handles on this course, but I may try it tomorrow. First splits after 1 hour of driving:

T1: 0'27.381
T2: 0'45.159

New splits:

26.958
43.935

Finding time in the weirdest places, so more to come off still.

Arrghhh... back to the drawing board. Had delusions of an overall podium there for a while.

Supreme sectors Animera.

Aliens should have a Division all to themselves.....

They do, it's called Div 1 Gold.

Edit: Just a heads up people. Skid Recovery Force defaults to on for this one. At least it does for me.

Had a a good hour on this one and it's pretty enjoyable:

T1: 27.321
T2: 45.344

Still some tenths in it for me...I like how this thing zips in and out of corners, great fun 👍

T1: 27.351
T2: 44.824

Was in the zone a bit last night and chopped off nearly half a second off my best lap. Not "quite" as in the zone as Josh though ;)

First 20 laps:

T1: 27.302
T2: 44.523

Don't think I'll be hitting 43 T2 splits anytime soon. :sly:
But it's a good start.

@ jushmuggoalien - You E-Brake at the hairpin?

How about Jerry's F1 w/out TCS.
After a few whacks at it I actually found it not as hard as the Renault 5.

I'm looking forward to putting some time into this combo.

Yeah, the Renault was just a wall seeking missle, while the F1 was simply insane. I remember gearing up the F1 since Jerry wouldn't let us use TCS. ;)

Those were the days. :dopey:

Awesome! I've always wondered how you do that (I've read where people do this but never took the time to figure out how...).

I'm hoping that I can do this with my DFP? I'll search.

Thanks!

You can route the buttons on the DFP for those settings.
The most important buttons (to me) to avoid are the ghost button (up direction) and the left/right buttons (left/right direction), unless you don't use them.
