Not a great t4, but cant seem to beat this lap time. Sorry for not posting regular splits, as my internet was on/off all week. I am posting now for fear of losing connect again.

33.139
24.214
24.978

I'm going to submit my current lap as I don't know if I'll have the time later to better it. If I do I can always submit again.:)

Like this?

Exactly what I was thinking! It's got to go in the OP somewhere. I'll find a spot. 👍

EDIT: it's in there... the nice thing is it's still a clean pic because there are two tires "on or over" the track surface!

Going into attack mode for the next 3 hours. Going to take a lot though to reach the speed of Matt's splits  Nice work mate 👍

Last ones I think. There's a super hard 5 hundredths in T4 but I gotta get there really fast in the first place which ain't happening anytime soon...

33.134
24.131
24.910

Submitting soon I think. Just a couple more ;-)

Edit: Submitted with these. No chance of more, I'm GP/F'd!

 Matt! You over 1000 miles yet? I had to stop last night, and was around 620 miles, I think.

Really impressive Matt.

I took a second look at this combo last night and improved a bit, then forgot to save my time. Wouldn't have been competitive anyway.

This thing EATS miles! Before you know it, it's oil change time again!

I've done around 11 hours now I think? I would guess I'm over 1000. Don't think I've ever run so many miles, but then this combo is just so much fun and requires such precision that I've never felt like I've "nailed" it - I am getting close now, but I have a T4 PB from earlier which is a small chunk quicker than I just did. I was quite hesitant on the last turn and was 1.5mph slower than usual at the line, but nevermind. It's .110 to the 2nd best lap on my top 10 board so I think I'm going to leave it there, I did just attempt to carry on, but my mind has departed already.

Getting incredibly tense on my best laps, had a 57.1xx going into T3, then I messed up by getting a wheel on the sand in the Esses. 🤬.

Edit: Done it again 🤬

Edit 2: Finally got down to what I wanted in T3. Braked a bit too early at the chicane in the last sector though, so going to have to keep running.

T1: 33.084
T2: 24.205
T3: 24.748

Glad you like it. I would have loved to put in more time and wish we had a few more days. I only logged 155 miles offline including testing plus about 20 laps online.

Curious to see how badly I got crushed!

I felt the same way with the LMP for the enduro we ran in March. The learning curves on these high powered cars are so long that you can keep making decent gains and it keeps encouraging you to go back for more. It can be quite daunting at first, but once you get the feel of the car it's pure exhilaration IMO.

Jeez. Great splits! I think ill weep now :)

Submitting with these splits.

Good luck everyone.

I know I wont win in D2. Which Im ok with I did try my best however and unfortanetly this lap looks good and is good until after the T4 chicane and then major major fubars occur.

I will remember this combo as the Fubar week. Every corner had a trap just ready to cause one and one always happened every lap I ever did.

Gonna have to submit the time from my first session last night as i'm heading off to my bday dinner :)
Doubt i'll make up .2 on t4 but this was a fun combo anyway.
I'll have to win the next one ;) haha
Congrats Yanaran!

Jeez. Great splits! I think ill weep now :)

Thanks, but hold those tears! You could easily beat me at T4.

But it seems now that I'm finding time out of nowhere. Getting a number of 32s in T1 and even a rogue 56 in T2. Just got to string a lap together..

Completely forgot about Active Steering :dunce:
About 1 hr to go... :nervous:

Banked this lap, just in case 👍

Not submitting with my current (and first posted) splits because I'm an idiot.

Let me detail the ways:

1) Procrastination. Kept picking it up and fiddling with it (mostly tuning and tweaking ineffectually) for a while after the first session, then doing something else (such as seasonals, random online racing, and y'know, Easter). Should have just run a bunch of laps.
2) At least 1-2 sessions I had R1s on there when I tested Chris' tune. Yay. No wonder I didn't get on with it at the time :banghead:
3) I've got my replay (not that I'd need it) and splits from that first session, but not the actual lap time. I think I know it, but I don't know I know it. Fastidious work on that google doc and Evernote, genius :dunce: At least I haven't done that since Rainbow of V8s...

Anyways, I'm thinking I might spend more time with this one later (as punishment), since I clearly need work on the skills and driving style needed for this car. Since it might be tricky to see even in the replays, I'd be very grateful if someone could comment (perhaps in the results thread) on what worked for them here; buttery smooth inputs and short shifting? Wider elliptical lines called for, or was that an illusion caused by the only quick direction changes being right-boot-related (on or off)? Was that lift-off oversteer useful some of the time?

Good luck to any still running, and brave submitters, in any case.

Wow, for the past half hour I just couldn't get past the first sector without messing up. Had the potential to really do better. Ahh well, looks like I'm going to get beaten to the line.

Edit: Though you will all be pleased to know, after a thorough check, it is a clean lap 👍 It gets close at the last chicane but I'm very confident it's clean, after looking at it from multiple camera angles.

I'm so guilty of that too.
Time is not on my side lately, but if there was ever a WRS combo I wish had 3-4 more days to run, this is it.
Wicked Combo Tim 👍
Good Luck everyone
