Yeah, I got hurt in Afghanistan last year, tore, bulged, and herniated discs all up and down my back...Pain meds are wonderful, for making sitting here doing this tolerable. Oddly, I get my best times just after I've woken up and had a cup of coffee, and my first dose of medication.

I often run a freak fast lap right near the beginning and can never improve on it, then other times it just seems like I cant find a rhythm. I always think I have a setting wrong, and go back a hundred times to make sure all my settings are correct. I dread ever being DQ'd, and cant believe that I did it right. I've played this game since GT1, and can not believe the improvements I've made since I really immersed myself.

Now I'm just rambling, too much BBQ and beer.👍
I know what you relate to! The pain meds seem to make me light headed. Haven't adjusted to them yet. I too try many settings, but can't improve my times. I am using Vagabond's tune, but the car turn's in if I get on it too much. My best times seem when the car sidesteps in the turns. Any thought's of that?

Wow 5 guys separated by less than a tenth, and jack closing in fast with a roaring third sector. :D

I've given up trying to catch you... and that 3rd sector time is impossible. You must be taking the Schumacher S flat out...
That's the thing though, I'm really not. It actually felt slower than normal and I dropped down to about 200 km/h, but I guess I was able to get back on the throttle earlier.

I think that's faster too especially in sector 1, but I can't control it. If it happens I take advantage but more often than not I end up facing the wrong way if I try to force it.

Addicted!

T1: 33.055
T2: 24.260
T3: 25.123

Twas a good lap until T3.

DS3? If so, incredible. Same goes for Viper.

A post easter egg session incoming for me - if I can physically reach the steering wheel, that is

Finally have some time to race.
Is there any way to break my car in easily?
I usually do it b-spec on my other account.

No need, standard model. Just change oil and shoot.

No need, standard model from the OCD. Just change oil and shoot.

Fixed that for you ;)

If you get a standard car from a birthday or level ticket, or as a prize when winning an event, it does need to be broken in if I'm not mistaken.

No more time to run given it's Easter (plus I've been working on something special -- see below) so I've submitted with my current splits. It's within a few tenths of my goal before I was forced to run AT so I'm pretty happy with the run.

Here's an Easter Egg for those of you who enjoy running rockets and may like the rocket we've included in this upcoming event:

Crazy, crazy lap, with a big error on T2 and a not so good T4 so only 6 hundredths at the line :ouch:

T1: 32.892
T2: 24.241 :banghead:
T3: 24.785

Well I guess I lied earlier... I wasn't quite done.

I ran about 25 laps online tonight to test for the race and started to get smoother so decided to give the time trial one last go. Glad I did. :dopey: I now realize how terrible my last sector was and saved myself some embarrassment. These splits are more than a tenth slower through T3, but I gained 6 tenths in the last sector. :dunce:

33.255
24.296
25.014

I was ahead of these splits many times, but could never duplicate that final sector where I went for broke in the chicane so I'm calling it a day. I surpassed my goal for the week. 👍

Good luck to those still running.

Couldn't better my times, so submitting with these splits.

24.425

Hot damn, Tim, that's a sweet jump. 👍 My jump wasn't quite as spectacular, but I'm pretty happy with this lap...0.5 better overall than my previous posted splits.

33.278
24.399
25.125

Submitting with these splits. Just slightly faster thru T3, much improved T4.

33.430
24.301
25.131

Had a quick 30 minute session, which turned into 2 and a bit hours...because I got in the zone a bit ;)

33.041
24.171
24.983

Unfortunately when something is "too good to be true", it often is..... I couldn't hold it together too well at the end, I lost well over a tenth in the last turn, but I had enough to get a new fastest lap. Will get a better lap tonight though - been running with 9/8 BB and switched to 6/3 and it's (for me) a lot better.

Edit: Wow, looks good on the LB, unfortunately for me I'm the only person that knows how pants the last turn was

First splits.

32.918
23.998
24.750

Tricky bugger to tame!
I don't think my tune is all it could be so far.
I'll give it another whirl tomorrow.
Glad to finally be back at the wheel :)

Blast! I've got an alien on my tail. :) I've left about a tenth in the final sector and knowing how you gold-ers like to step on it in the last few turns I wouldn't be surprised if you're already caught up.

I'm basically running the tune Chris posted earlier with 18/18 springs and -10/-10 ride height. I'm very unsure about it though, as some things make it easier to get around the track (more like praiano's tune) but nothing seems to make it actually go faster. Hard to tell when it's so difficult to get a good clean lap...

Good luck to anyone still trying! I submitted my last posted lap.

Nice pics, Joao! 👍 That takes skill. :dunce:

NOTE: Vaxen has asked me to post the results thread tonight (he's on vacation), but I'm commuting during the deadline, so it won't be posted as quickly as Vaxen does it.

Good luck everyone!

6.0 - showing excellent poise and control 👍

+1 Purely Awesome Pic Joao.

I told you it was a rocket in the OP, but the intention was to face the nose up and the jets down!

Maybe Marc can "photoshop" a flip around and add some jets on the bottom and I'll replace the headline pic in the OP. :sly:

33.050 👍
24.256 👎
24.914 👍

lost the backend just a fraction in the chicane or this would have been awesome. STILL NEEDS LESS tdown!

Done w/ this exercise in restraint, submited and out

On to the dirt, Good Luk to all the die hards

Guess it's down to our hole cards "Mill" :)
