It's weird but I can't tell any difference between tuning settings except the LSD. In my last post I had 0/0 ride height, then I changed to +10/10 and got the above splits. Just for fun I then tried the other extreme -15 and got the splits below.

32.814
23.991
24.720

Little better in the T4 chicane made it slightly better overall lap.

First splits that I am posting, hopefully I can cut a little more off these.

Thanks for posting the tunes, tips, and videos everybody, very helpful!👍

Another 4 hrs down the drain so I think I'm just a (note the pic)

I never finished up this early before, oh well off to I-racing :) Good luk everyone 👍

Alrighty, start of a 4 day weekend for me, time to shoot for that overall win!:sly:

Not tonight though, apparently I've had too much to drink. Come on Div 4, we gotta tighten up the shot group here.

Finally had some time to look at this combo. Using a modded Chris setup. AS: off.

33.282
24.356
25.007

There's about. 2 left at this point, but I think I can work out a bit more if I have time.

Made some improvements, but still made some mistakes. Still looking for about 0.3-0.5 before I hit my limit with AT. The final chicane is particular tough without being able to short shift.

33.163
24.301
24.961

 Tim! I thought you were up S:censored: Creek without paddles...:dopey: But no. You grew web-feet and cruised! 👍 Nice one.

Ooooh its so on now! I got one guy in my division driving AT kicking my ass and another who just drives one session and is kicking my ass?

It is so on.

Im switching to wheel and Im taking you guys to school.:)(I hope, haha)

Really nice splits guys nice job. I am very impressed to be honest.👍

Impressed with Matt and Joao and Chris and Jonas obviously as well and Viper and Btcanon just to name a few oh and Lefty oh and Blair!

Many guys doing really well here this week just want to say nice job would like to join in on the party and I will try with the wheel see if I can maybe also.

Edit: First splits(haha) driving wheel, man the T1 is such a joke! How embarrasing is all I can say about it. (shakes head in shame)haha Cant complain to much kicked my DS3 OTs ass by 7 tenths!

T1: 33.784
T2: 24.293
T3: 24.996

Looking for seven more and you can guess in which sector ill be looking. can anyone explain why that sector is so freaking hard to take quickly time wise? Look I care nothing about the D2 win i dont even want it this week what I would like is to just once to take T1 decently and thats it...thats all.

Heres how it feels to me to take T1...alright I must have really nailed it this time...WTF slower?

What are you guys doing intentional driving like a grandma to take it quicker time wise, is it a backasswards kind of thing you gotta do or something? I just cant ever figure it out.

Couldnt the last time we did this track either.

Ooh, some D2 action has arrived! I'll have to stick some more time in later as I know I can do better in the first 2 sectors.

Jack, watch Chris' video - if you take the sector like that then you can get down close to 33 seconds.

Still having problems putting together a good lap without making stupid mistakes. There's lots of time left on the track. I decided to stay with AT this week.

T1: 33.373
T2: 24.404
T3: 25.041

T1 was designed by Hermann Tilke. That should explain a lot.

Here's my 1st sector video for anyone who fancies a look:

Don't know if you watched Chris T1 vid yet. Maybe it helps.

I have yet to do any better. Consistently run .3 in T1, but never back down to the .1 and then run about the same through the other sectors. Gave it about an hour this morning, and I don't think I can improve it.

Just waiting for Ali to post another set of splits and kick me down the board! I think he's hiding and just gaining times.

Either that or its me....When I started in D5 I was by myself, so I battled with the piles of guys in D4...Now I'm in D4 and everybody disappeared.

I am not able to get to my wheel, it is driving me nuts watching you up there bt! Just kidding. I might be able to get some seat time on Monday. Or if I find some time between the weekend festivities.

And where is the rest of D4?

Al

Splits from last night session.

T1: 33.015
T2: 24.160
T3: 24.924

But the chicane... :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Saw low 33.9 on T1 and 24.8 on T3 so have half a second to chase still on track.

Don´t really know why so few running this combo, it´s great fun 👍

Well, I finished first in D4 in the MR2's also, but I was D5 back then, just figured I would try to re-claim my position at the top of D4:sly:

I just got lucky, and ran a decent lap...I still see time out there, but I cant seem to collect it. So I will probably focus on the race I'm doing Sunday and just end up submitting this one. Unless I get passed up of course!

I want to thank Matt and Viper for the suggestion and Chris for that matter for the video.

I dont know if my internet is super messed up or what but watching vids lately all I see is he starts to enter a corner then hes past the exit point. It skips alot of time and thru another corner I might only see him right at the apex then the next corner just him at entry and then at the exit so yeah not much to study there unfortanetly. As far as driving techniques theres not much to see. Line is kinda there.

Anyhow some dumb luck struck for me on a lap just now. Not a super awesome T1 but for me it is super incredibly awesome. Makes me happy. I could not go any lower and not really care now.:)

T1: 33.255
T2: 24.322
T3: 25.019

Great DS3 splits Viper.👍

I am semi-new to the GTP-Registry and have a question about these time tirals. I have read that in this thread you can not give any information that can be used to infer anybodies lap times. So what are the times that everybody is posting?

If they are the sector times than I dont see how its possible for somebody to get around that track in about 1'23. That would be quicker than a F1 car.

33.209
24.144
25.166 :banghead:

I rounded the lap off well, about as well as I could have hoped. This *should* have been .150 faster though to the split, which would have been a really good time. Plenty of time to sort it out.... have had 1-22.467 through there already today but made a hash of the end and lost over a tenth.

No better than 33.133 at T1 for me yet and if I see a .1 at all I'm chuffed.

Jack - I will share my setup with you. I think it's awesome and I am a converted DS3'er so I think you'll go faster with it....and probably faster than me too, but oh well, setups are for sharing :D

This track has 4 splits, we're just sharing the first 3 - the last split is kept secret and hence, so is the lap time! 👍

Thanks for the response. That makes much more sense now and will be trying to save up the money on my GTP_ account to compete in the race and maybe the time trial.👍

Great DS3 splits Viper.👍

Thanks. Chris video starts in HD resolution. Reducing the resolution from 720p to 480p or less could help.

Video in 360p:

I can turn 3-4 laps before my hip starts to hurt enough that it's hard to concentrate on driving. So here is all I can do with this track.
34.137
25.131
26.540

34.035
24.059
26.360

few more laps
I apologize for the typo. :ouch: I wish I was that fast. :sly::sly:
The right splits are:
34.035
25.059
26.360

Nice splits and thanks for the tune offer but Im now real worried I might do to well this week. I just did a T3 of a 24.85x. I didnt nail the shumaker S and I already am tuned to nail it.:scared:

I cant say for sure but I might have learned something new but I cant really describe "it".

More of a feel thing, opposite way of driving fast is how I would describe it more basically, so when I feel im going fast im going slow time wise and when I feel im not going fast im going fast time wise.

Excactly what I was asking about earlier and yeah my quickest replay now thru T1 feels dog slow to me when I watch in the bumper cam mode which i always drive in Im shocked at how slow it looks like Im driving. Very weird.

Im not tho time wise.

Edit: Thanks Viper now I can see him drive. lol

Nice one jack ;)

If you fancy trying another setup, I'll post mine up a bit later.

33.285
24.180
24.941

A tenth in T1 and half a tenth in T4 and that will be about all I've got....

General question.

As some of the guys don't have this car in their garrage yet under their new GTP_ ID, is it legal to befriend your old ID where you own this car and set it to share from that ID then borrow it to use here?

I ran at HSR in the Formula GT using a car I borrowed from GTP_ASH32! When it comes to supplying the replay it's still effectively the same, verification wise. I don't think I submitted a time that week, but I'm sure you can do it.

I just figured, if most guys are like me, they may have 5 to 6 hundred cars in their regular before GTP ID, why not take advantage of it instead of spending time grinding to buy another one.

As I'm not part of the administration of the racing series, it'd be best if you got confirmation from Lucas, Tim, Kevin, Christophe or whomever, but yeah it's a fair point.

Hopefully any of them will weigh in. I checked the GTP WRS Comprehensive Guide and there is nothing on the subject.
