Ah yeah... Not quite flat out, no. Slight lift before turning in.

Yeah I part throttle and hope for the apex and not running wide as its lap over thru red clock, or 720deg spin. Prev corner gives me kittens too can't pick the exit....

6th thru eau rouge means you have a much longer 6th than me....might have a play with gearing.

Yes, 2-6th are longer and 7th doesn't get up to redline - ever. That's the problem... if I load a ghost that had a regular 'balanced' transmission the ghost loses in turn 1, and Eau Rouge, but if Kemmel was 100m longer it would catch me right before Les Combes.
It's more of a concern in T3 (that's the only other place I use 7th) and the stretch after Pouhon I think.

Is this a DLC track?

I have a weekend free, would like to put some time in on this.

I tired Vagabond's tune! I have improved with it, not sure if it was the tune or the fact that I have really cut down on un-needed steering input. I am not sure how the real drivers don't wet themselves when they drive these cars so fast! WRS is going to be interesting, I hope it doesn't turn into bumper car race.

Better T3 than before. Not much left now judging by the time it took to get this.

So much grip with this car. Not quite fully broke in yet and I hope to get another go Monday night.

P.S dont go straight into an online shuffle room straight after driven this :).

Sat down for another quick session and dropped half a second at the line!

Got my G27 back from Logitech, but don't have enough time to grind for 10 million to purchase the F1. Good Luck to everyone this week.

Getting there Jon? Its a blast eh? :)

Yeah Chris, getting there...slowly. Seat time, as always, continues to be an issue for me, regardless of which hemisphere I'm living in! Had about 90 mins on this so far - guests go home tomorrow though :mischievous:

My mini target for the week is a 1'13.5 at T2. Not sure there's much more time than that in the set-up I'm using (or the head, hands and feet I'm using). Don't feel like I'm leaving much on the track, particularly in the first sector, so I might have a play around with gearing. Not tried tranny trick yet, just a standard 'box with a longer 1st and then everything moved up to suit.

 What happened there then?

Hey Chris, welcome back mate. I'll send you a level 24 ticket if you like - 1 in 3 chance of getting the F10. If you dupe the ticket with a spare account, you can get all 3 - FGT, F2007, and F10. Add me on PSN if you're not already in my friend list. 👍

New splits:

OK, I reckon I am done now... Decent run to the line, up 0.14 and I'm less than a tenth off my theoretical fastest time, which is the closest I think I've ever got since week 1 (a magic lap I didn't think I could do).

Nice step forward for you too Matt, even if you seem to be ignoring me for some reason... :P

Good luck everyone running. I thought more people would want a bash at this combo - its a hell of a rush and so rewarding when you start nailing the line.

Sweet - a good 2 hour session should see a good rhythm established. :sly:

Tranny trick really helps. Don't be fooled by the strangely flat torque line on the settings screen - this thing has no guts when the revs drop too much.

Sorry, unintentional!

Cheers, not got much left in me though, straining the track to get round in 1:12.9, but I can see another tenth in sector 2 and 3. I'll have another couple of sessions before I give in to see if I can get it. I suspect marc has got a bit more in the tank as well.

Great new splits too btw! looking pretty good up there.

I certainly was....

Oh, for the ultimate "I can't drive for crap anymore" experience go straight to Le Mans event online from here and jump in any of the cars for a few laps ;)

No worries, just so I know it aint serious. :sly:

Thanks mate, I'm loving this week - I think I did more laps of Spa in the FW31 in rFactor than any other car/track combo. I think I'm really at my limit now though so I'm a sitting duck for James to aim at.... or anyone else for that matter. Wish the deadline was tomorrow.... :sly:

Clocked up about 1,000 miles this week... 230 or so laps - the most I've done for a long time. The last 700 miles have found me about 3.5 tenths - 1 tenth gained for every 200 miles. Good progress. :P

I certainly was....
Quite a few of GT5s power/torque graphs are a little strange, not to mention misleading or even downright inaccurate. This one is one of the worst I reckon.

 That's what killed the end of last week for me - spent an hour on this one on Sunday then went back to London and couldn't even get round the last bend to start a lap, just understeering full throttle into the barrier like a drunk driver. :P

Good luck to you both (Marc and Matt) battling for the D2 win by the looks of it.

Thanks Vaga! I will add you when I get home later tonight from work.

Thanks 👍 He's just nudged me a bit (.008!)...time to take the gloves off ;)
Good luck with the overall win...that one's always a pipe dream for me

Another flying lap complete for me. Was just about absolutely perfect for me as well. Could probably do better in one or two spots but I don't think I'll get much more out of it.

Shaved almost a full second off my pb lap!

I can't believe I'm having this much fun hot lapping :D
Probably 1 or 2 good sessions left in me, but I wouldn't be surprised if I run it all day Sunday 👍
Still messing about with the darn transmission...

Good god, man. 👍

I'm going to go pester you in PM's for that tune, holy hell.

It's posted
Fine tuning as I go though, I'll double check and post the changes now that I've essentially settled into the car and the rest of the time gained (if any) will come down to taking t2 better.

I found the best way through Pouhon is to not brake at all. The rear doesn't slide out and if timed correctly the car just barely stays on the outside rumbles.

The Admins are still discussing that, as I think you had PM'd EDK. Maybe I can go do some research on it, now that I've moved myself on-up a bit. :P

I can't believe that people drive this combo in real life. Just nuts! :boggled:

Thanks for updating your tune, there, Marc. 👍

And the tranny???? :)

Hey...I was wondering if I could race this event on the Weather Change version of Spa, as long as I apply the following options:

Sorry, Nick, but we can't allow that. I tried it and it's a pretty different experience on the weather-change (dry) track. I even beat my new best-lap on my first try. :ouch:

It sounds like you have some corrupt game-data. You may need to delete and re-install the game data, which will erase your saved replays, but will benefit you in the end. 👍

And the tranny????:)
Marc's a blazing tranny wizard. But I'll let him tell you.
