Nice T1 👍 Stopped crying and beating your fists on the floor now then? :P:
💡

Yes apologies all,

I am just the really competitive type and don't like it when i'm running times I know I can easily beat.

I don't think my chicane is that great though, watching the replay from the long right sweeper it looks pretty messy.

I prefer the GP version to the DTM, because of the Schumacher S, it's not the greatest flowing track and I think it's more suited to racing than hotlapping. I think the car and these tyres makes the combo, even if my T1 is pretty poor, I can still enjoy the combo.

Some tracks you can just drive straight away, this one needs some time to actually find a rhythm.

Hehe, its odd how opinions and tastes vary - I don't like the Schumacher S at all and it took me forever to get gold on that license test. And with this week's combo, I've put in less time than any week so far... about 3 hours at this point. Most weeks I've spent between 8 and 10 hours come Friday.

I put the most time into the Monaco/WRC Citroen combo, made very little progress, then got a DQ for a dirty chcane. :dopey: :dunce:

It's strange how you put down a time and then all of a sudden have some confidence and start to hit good sectors, 3 laps in a row I have been running 59.6s for T1 and T2. The strange thing is thats with a T1 2 or 3 tenths down on my best. If I can put that all together should be able to take a tenth or two off my time.

Here's to hoping :sly:

Naughty boy!

Finally I managed to crack those 36's in T1, and how!

T1: 36.048
T2: 24.160

I'm submitting now, there's still a few tenths to find but I can't put it all in 1 lap

Edit: @sidplayos, yesterday i checked my chicane and found out it was indeed on the green so had to start over again

Holy. Nice work, poolhaas! 👍 Setting the D4 bar in D3 or D2 territory. :scared:

Thanks Gravitron, I've been having problems with this one, but after going over some tips given here I finally found out how to take some corners properly.

Better watch out D3 :mischievous:

:D

Slower splits, but better T3 (and T2). Amusing numbers too...

36.333
23.666

Not sure how much more time I'm going to get, work is damn busy atm, but I want 3 tenths in T1 at least, just had one of those sessions where it wasn't any use. Only being able to do 6 or so laps at a time isn't helping.

They are some freaky numbers alright, even more is your T1+T2 total. Guess you can say you just broke the 1 minute barrier :sly:

And how long did it take you, 6 laps :D

Thankzz Jump :) I couldn't get that simple two word expresion out of my head and "Wha Lah"

T1: 36.709
T2: 23.924
Auto-Trans and everything :)

That T2 is coming along nicely dude 👍 It may also help your T1 if you don't hit the inside rumble strip at turn 1. Try taking a line just outside of it so you try and avoid that steep decline (loss or traction), you can floor it earlier and exit wide, that helped me earlier. However I haven't gone back to this yet :ouch: I got suckered into racing online

Does anyone think clearing the system cache will make me half a second faster :sly:

If it does let me know! One tenth faster at end of T2, two tenths slower at the line.:ouch: Nice job to everyone who has figured this combo out.👍

I drop down to 2nd gear and shift up before I hit the limiter.

Yes thats what I am doing, turn 3 I am down shifting to second and exiting in third, I find it benefits to get on the gas late on the exit of turn 3 into turn 4. As for turn 2 I start out wide then ease my way to the inside and accelerating through the apex out to the rumble strip, may be some useful information for you here, thats how I managed my 35.8

Good luck 👍

Thank you, turn 3 I think I'm exiting in 2nd so I will try jumping up a little sooner.

Going to give it anoher try. This is the first week were I think I've gotten worse as time went on.

Just remember when shifting to 3rd mid corner it pays to stick as close to the left as you can, and don't be to keen to get on the gas even if you see your ghost exiting before you, sounds crazy but the longer you wait to get on the gas the quicker exit you get and you will pass your ghost before the end of T1 👍

Try taking a line just outside of it so you try and avoid that steep "Gravitational Force" (loss of escape velocity), you can "hit your afterburners" earlier and exit wide

I'll see if your line will show me "the Force"

Found some time overall, just about finding a rhythm in T1 and reckon I can be knocking out .0s again at some point.

:D

So why the heck are you in D4?

Did 100+ laps yesterday and only got slower and slower. Came home today and did 10 laps, and then... :D

T1 36.315
T2 23.606

Still lots of time to gain. I can see where I lose it, but can not manage the car so precisely as to gain it. I am slowly learning.

Your times are better then mine, even to compete with D2 and D3 haha.
Please, don't get fooled by 1 sector, I had a good day today :)
I just started here and haven't had gold yet so I would'nt say i'm that good
