Well, it didn't work. I'm screwed anyway because even tho I backed up everything, I only can find my account details for my main. I can't find my details for my GTP account as far as the e-mail address I used or even my password so yea, I'm completely screwed. If I ever want to run here again, I'd have to create a new GTP account and start from the very beginning again. So, pretty much this is last time you'll see me here. Made alot of friends here and learned alot and you'll all be missed. Like I said, its been a fun ride. Good luck to you all, thanks for the memories. I'm out.

Had a small session tonight, i almost lost control at the end of T6 and later after T9, the rest of the lap was close to my limit, i had better splits but getting all of them in one lap require a good amount of focus and luck

Actually, on this track you should be doing the complete opposite. Start off with pushing around 80%. Get comfortable with the car and track. When you slow down a little to "admire the scenery", you begin to understand the undulations, the bumps that can upset your car, and how corners flow into each other.

Maybe I'm overestimating my knowledge of the track.

Well, I finally had a clean lap I was happy with, sort of a compromise, I guess (I was going at 85% ).

Mitch for the email thing you can just try signing in with all emails you have, try in the psn website forgot your password and keep putting in email address you might have used, no need to open a new account.

For your PS if its just the laser then you can probably get one on ebay or on ifixit.com, theres probably no need to buy a new playstation. I've checked ifix it they have a pretty good guide on how to do it Repairing PlayStation 3 BluRay Laser

Left something between 0.2 and 10 seconds on the track...

Had a lap that was about 3 seconds faster by the 9th split and 4 seconds faster at the long straight but lost control under braking entering the little squiggly part before the very last medium speed chicane and the sad thing is I had like 6 of those, even though I was braking very early to avoid braking in the turning sections.

No Way Dude

That's sucks. I think it's the YLOD (yellow light of dead). I had it almost 2 years ago with my old fat PS3. Was about 2 months after the release of GT5. I just switched to a new 250GB HHD be cause i had an 40GB PS3 and i read that GT5 had to install about 9GB on the HHD, there wasn't enough space left. After 2 months i had the same "can't not read disc" problem. I bought a new PS3 and thought to switch the new HHD from my old PS3 to my new PS3. But that's not gonna work. The HHD is paired to the PS3. So i thought i lost al my save games. Didn't care much about al the other games that i hardly ever play. But my GT5 save games . Luckily i had back ups on a USB and if you create a new account with the username - E-mail - and password that you own, you can copy your save game from your USB to your new PS3. But like said before you really need to know your loggins. I had problems reminding them as well. But after some long and hard thinking they came back to me.

Wel after that saying. I hope a couple of thinks for you. You will be abble to buy a new PS3 soon. And remember al your loggins. Money is just a matter of time but your loggins. Man, all those hours put into collect everything you had. I really feel for you. I sincerely hope you can get everything back and soon.


If you gonna be so unlucky that you can't remember your loggins. I think everybody here will help you to get the cars that are sendable and your garage will be filled in no know time, i know i will help. I know that's not what you wanna hear right now but you can count on me for sure.

The car reminds me a lot of the SLS qualifier combo - down on power a little but a grippy monster like the Benz. Fun stuff!

I only have my information for my main plus my save so I didn't lose anything, I was just worried about my GTP account. I have the save, but no account info. Anyways, I don't really understand this laser thing. Sometimes it works, other times it would even read the disc. Does this on all games. So, two questions.

1. Is it really the laser?

2. In regards to my GTP account, its just gone so do I indeed have to re-register and go through the whole process again or can I just create a new account and keep going? Not sure I want to try either until I get a reliable machine but just thought I'd ask as its going to come in to play anyway even if I do manage to get my machine fixed.

You can create a new GTP_ account and we can change your entry in the registry.

Most recently, Jon lost his gtp_jtv90069 account info, and created a new GTP_JTV account, and we simply updated the Registry (still in process, btw).

How many emails do you own, check here https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/external/forgot-password!input.action and type all the ones you think of, one of them has to be your gtp account you can find it unless you have like 100 emails.

Anyway, I only have like 7 e-mails but the problem is, I don't remember them all. Anyway, thanks to Gravitron, that part is pretty much worked out. Not really worried about that anymore. My main focus is on my poor PS3, lol. Like I said, sometimes it loads the game and works, other times it tries reading it for about 30 seconds then makes a strange clunking noise like it is going to eject the disc but doesn't and thats where it stops. If the disc is already in and I click the GT5 icon to start the game, I get an error baisically saying the disc is unreadable. Happens on all games. I always thought that if the laser went out, it went out comepletly. Anyway, I'll probably just baby it along until I can get it reliable again before I come back and compete. At least I can still keep practicing until then.

Made colossal mistake in sector 9 and almost left the track. Be interesting to see what the LB says about what it cost me....

This car is a tricky one, but if you get enough luck it's pretty good on this track

Yeah, that last sector often kills the lap for me. On my few clean laps, I was overly cautious there...
