On the subject of my PS3. Oddly enough, ever since I changed its postion from sitting vertically (on its end) to sitting horizontally (on its flat bottom) it has been working, lol. I've had it sitting vertically for better cooling for about the last year now and all of a sudden it decides it doesn't like sitting that way, lol. If that turns out to be the real issue, I'm going to be pissed that I went thru all this other crap and lost accounts when I could have just did this in the first place. The only problem I'm having now is when I try to access my second account I just made, it hangs in the screen with the b&w GT logo flashing. My main account works fine, but for some reason it hangs in that spot on that newly created account. This crap is worse than trying to drive a clean lap around the 'Ring, lol. I'll get it tho. NGU.

Still a lot of rough bits to smooth out; was probably overdriving some bits (and dozing off in others - tired).

Mitch, regarding the account, it may be worth a try calling SEN/Sony support and explaining, especially if you can figure out which email account it was. They will probably ask things like DoB on the account, and possibly things like recent Friend additions. They might not if you've got no details at all, but it could be worth a try.

When I start the game, it gets to the black screen with the silver GT logo and just hangs there....forever. It does this if I'm connected to the internet or not. If I hit any other buttons before that screen, (arcade, settings, ect) it freezes on that spot. My main account is working fine. I tried deleting everything for that account abd starting over again and same thing. Any ideas. Getting mighty fustrated here, lol

-2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times

Weird question but
If you run over a curb in a corner, and have 2 tires verticaly in line with the track(curb, tarmac, etc...), but just one tire is touching the curb and all the other ones are in the air, is it dirty or not?

All 4 wheels can be in the air as long 2 wheels are above the legal part of the track.

That would be clean, as long as photo-mode evidence can be found that shows the inside tire which is in the air has part of the tire directly above legal track surface.

As always, don't make it a pain for your reviewer.

Yes its getting really difficult to string a complete lap without errors, i seen better splits on the first half of the track, but couldnt get them in this lap, managed to improve a little, looking for another 4 tenths until split 4 and i been a little cautious at the end, probably lost another 2 tenth. another 0,500 at the line and i would be ready to submit i think.

i will need some luck or nerve of steel to improve though.

I was watching DHollands replay from one of your very early time trials here and seems he stradles the curb in alot of the corners. I can see I am being way to conservative as I very rarely even use the curb to ride on. I think thats my biggest problem when running these, not using all the track.

I almost lost it in T8, hence the poor T8 time, but otherwise I now at least have a decent time (though I'm still not mixing it up with the rest of D1).

Also, I've started changing from ABS 1 to ABS 10 while on the long straight. It makes the car more stable when slowing down for the last part of the lap.

You do have to be careful which curbs, though. Some are less friendly than others, and upsetting this car is fraught with peril!

Concentrate on the corners leading onto straights most of all. Many laps are lost at Bergwerk, Brunnchen and Galgenkopf (Gallows Head!), to name a few.

Bergwerk is the one corner that usually catches me off guard. I guess it's the combination of uphill, turn and accelerate that does it.
