Congratulations to all the promotees.

I think I am going to have to take it a bit more seriously. I can regularly get good times for the leaderboard, but my last sector always let me down. I only seem to spend a little time on a Tuesday, and then a couple of hours on the weekend and Monday, desperately trying to nail a good time. A little less pressure at the end would probably be a good thing, so I am skipping this week, and will try next weeks one early. Would love a promotion to D2G, which is significantly higher than I would have thought possible several months ago
That's one thing I like about this format. It can be at your leisure and as you please. If I want to invest 5+ hours a week, I can. If I can only put in an hour, that's fine too. There are still "levels" of the competition.

One thing I've not noticed though...are there demotions? Will I always be D3G or higher, no matter what?

I think you'll get before I do at the rate I'm going.

Not much in it at the moment :)

I dont want to be spending all of my free time, and i do love the fact that a poor week isn't going to scupper by handicap. It is the reason I submit even when I know i am in for a hammering.

I just find it frustrating that at the end of the week, when I have put very little time in, I set a leaderboard time that makes me check the SRF setting and dont have enough time before deadline to refine the last sector. Last week, I had most of my s3 times 0.3 seconds quicker, but I set a 54.9xx in s2 and then muffed up my last sector. Didn't have enough time before having to submit to get a better ending on a good lap.

Next time I will be doing that earlier in the week.

Anyway, congrats again to all the promotees, especially @couttsy21, who is quietly moving up the ranks.

If so, I'm on par for one. Everyone's going up, and I'm going down.

Thanks for the kind words! Just noticed my promotion now! Im sure you will get yours soon aswell. I seem to be doing the opposite of what you describe and finding most of the time in the last session. For the last TT anyway! Now just to make it into D1...... Haha

You will likely always be where you are now, at the very lowest.

I only know of one demotion in about 200 weeks of WRS'ing and that was by request, backed up by results. Y'all be fine!

I could definitely see myself choosing to apply only 1 or 2 hours a week...or less...and submitting for demotion on down the line. But not right now. I've got my sights set on beating @jonjig, GTP_iainoflo, @GTP_EDK and @GTP_CargoRatt as I continue to improve.

Knew those were on the way after watching your replays last week and seeing how crowhop ran online in Saturday's WW race.

You guys both deserve this bump. Well done. 👍

Well done to the rest also, just calling out the division promotions specifically. :)

I think I must have misunderstood promotion rules...I thought negative handicaps for three weeks running equate to promotion (depending on final handicap after those three weeks). Do each of the negatives have to place you in the new division? Not sure I can keep my string of negatives going now that work hath returned with fury but I might as well clarify the process.

Congrats to the promotees as well, particular welcome to @Xelyno and @GTP_crowhop into Div 2...like all promotees it is well deserved 👍

From what I understand, 3 weeks is the minimum (for the first promotion, anyway) but it doesn't matter if they're all negative, or run consecutively... Since you're at 2.680, one more decent negative handicap from you and you'll be promoted to D2S even if you manage 5 more positive handicaps inbetween :P

Congrats to all promotees, particularly @manumanu19 for joining D1 Silver! 👍

Wow, Division 2. That's amazing. :) Thanks for all the kind words.
Never could imagine that would be possible, back in January when I started this.
Don't know exactly what happened in week 18 with the Lotus Evora at the Tokyo circuit, but that really was a turning point for me.
From that moment on, I suddenly was able to keep up with the pace of the faster Division 3 drivers and, with the exception of week 20 (that Lotus 97T was way too fast for me) and week 22 (not much time for running that week), managed to be in the top 5 of my division on a consistent basis.
I really enjoy these time trials, they have without a doubt helped me improve my skills, and I'm looking forward to many more in the future.

Congrats to all promotees!!
Specially to Xelyno (would love to see you racing tomorrow) and crowhop, for leaving us real division 3 drivers get a shot at winning the division :D (In fact I would have won the division this week if those misallocated petrolheads had been promoted sooner)
Johan we are fresh out of excuses now my friend :sly:
Ned see you in division 3 soon 👍

I'm really glad I didn't move up alone. The rivalries and goals make this what it is. I'm hoping me, you and @jonjig (just promoted to D2 2 weeks ago) can knock around and make some noise in D2. It does seem there are more competitors and would be easy to get lost amongst the glut of very good drivers.

I'd like to consistently be in the top 25%. I've been just scraping into the top 50% until this week. Will be interesting to see if my skill improves enough to make this attainable.
